Okay so it was supposed to be a xmas present,I took it out to check and see if it worked ( nothing worse then a broken xmas toy you know how that goes)But once it started up I was hmm oh what the heck she is 9 months old, she wont miss one less toy.So she started to play with it, that was 4 days ago, and she loves it still , every day for hours,my 3 year old likes to sit beside her and they play together.The motor is just rightit is not loud at all, the volumis just right.I cant think of anything bad about this toy at all, its educational, its musical, lots of different things to keep them happy, flashing lights songs, animal sounds, a snack containter that says OPEN and CLOSE, ABC song,colours and shapes songs,parts of the face music,GREAT TOY, if it ever breaks I would buy another in a heart beat. ( mother of 4 children)

My son loves this toy I think it's excellent for his current age (8 months). There are plenty of different activities on it to keep him entertained, and it's not too loud like a lot of other electronic toys. He can play with it either sitting or standing (he's 27"). I don't anticipate that he will use this toy beyond a year, maybe year and 1/2, but I don't think it's necessarily a reflection of the quality of the toy. In play groups that we've attended, most of the 18 month olds were no longer interested in the table toys. On a side note, if the toy is no longer working after a few days of use, try changing the batteries. Usually the manufacturer will put in demo batteries so consumers can try them out in the store, and then the demos drain quickly once at home.

My 9 month old daughter just got this for a gift and it is her favorite thing ever!!When I take it out to play, she starts screaming with excitement and bouncing up and down while trying to grab at Elmo. My daughter has not really wanted to stand or pull-up yet, but now that we have this toy she is certainly trying.The music is fun, the lights are bright and there's lots to learn.We also have the Leap Start Learning Table which she enjoys but she likes this one a lot more (at half the price).You will find that some of the songs get trapped in your head (if you already have this, you probably know what it's like to try to go to bed at night and ear "Chickens! Pig!" in yoru head).I give it an A+

Double Sided Doodle Board

If you decide to purchase this poorly-designed, known-to-be-defective toy, be sure to keep your receipt. Little Tikes will only refind your money if you have this record of your expense. Otherwise, you *might* be given a check for $15 that can only be used to purchase other Little Tikes products.

What is the problem? The drawings will not stay on the screen long enough to actually draw anything. I tried to draw a house for my 2 year old daughter. By the time I drew the roof, the walls had faded to the point of no longer being there.

In order to get my "refund" (store credit), I had to deface the product "so that nobody would ever want the toy" (their words)and send in photo proof to Little Tikes. If you look at the user-contributed photos, and you will see how I defaced the product.

This product has been discontinued by Little Tikes. They discontinued it because they know it to be defective. Save yourself the trouble and find a better company with which to do business.

We bought this for our daughter after she played with a different model by Little Tikes.I agree with the other reviewers that the pen is inexplicably too short.But the real problem is that the drawings fade immediately.We're taking it back and getting a different one, hopefully it will work as advertised.Maybe the chalk board is good, but that's not the "draw" to the product.

I agree this toy is a total disappointment. I'm sure the string is short in order to make it less of a choking hazard, but the pen was unusable for my generally coordinated 18-month-old. He was so excited to try this toy, but wound up crying with frustration trying to use the pen. Even after cutting the string, it's not intuitive which end is the correct end, and the magnet is pretty tiny on the end. Also found the chalkboard to be of pretty poor quality. Cute idea but an awful design.

UPDATE: We cut the string on the pen so that it was at least usable. A year and a half later, I can say that the only part of this we ever used was the stamps. It still comes out of the toy box once in a while for a few minutes, usually when a visiting kid checks it out.

My girl got this for a Christmas present because she has Magna-Doodle travel that she loves. The magnet shapes work fine, but the pen is horrible. The string is too short to reach the whole screen and as others have said, the image fades immediately. She loves Mickey and I can't even draw a whole Mickey before the shape of his face fades. The chalk side may be fine, but I'll be looking for a real Magna-Doodle for her to draw on. I can't believe that Little Tikes (which normally produces good toys) has allowed this piece of junk on the market.

What a nice board...so I thought when I saw it in the store. Chalk boar on one side, magnetic board on the other. Nice storage compartment for the chalk and eraser. That side works fine although the storage compartment is hard to open for a toddler. BUT, the magnetic board. Oh boy. What a piece of junk. The stamps are great. But the pen is on a short string, I know safety, but come on, you can't even draw on the whole board with it. Picture fades in no time. My toddler played with it and happened to draw a cool elephant. By the time I got the camera to take a picture of my 22 month old child's masterpiece, the picture was so faded, it is very hard to see in the picture I took. When you carry it around, fading is almost immediate. And the board warped which makes it essentially impossible to use it now. You draw on one end, then the other and your original drawing is erased. After 2 months of play this junk is ready to go out with the junk. What a shame. Please save your money!!!

Prepainted Miniatures Set (4) Pathfinder

Wow!These little figures are far and away the best pre-painted figures I have even seen.The detail is quite amazingKyra's cloak even has the gold designs worked upon, to a unbelievable level of detail.

What you get here is four plastic (not hard but not soft, either. Slightly flexible, but can be broken under duress) figures of what is called 25MM scale but are actually a little larger. Their bases are sized for Pathfinder/D20/D&D.They would be perfect for any Fantasy Roleplaying game or just as little toys on their own (warning, not for little tots who could choke on them)

The price is very reasonable considering the quality. I also like the fact that there's no "mystery collectible sets"what you see is what you get.The best figure is likely the cleric, but all four are amazingly detailed and painted.

For those of you who have kids who are into Fantasy gaming but aren't sure what to get them (the array of books & modules is bewildering, I admit!) this is a perfect present.You will be "the cool aunt/Grandparent" etc for sure.

Bought this over the holiday and I have to say that the detail and paint job on them are very good for pre-painted plastic miniatures. Way better than WOTC plastic minis! Also, these minis' weapons aren't as "floppy" or bendable when compared to WOTC plastic minis as well! I don't regret buying them!!

My only complaint is that packaging that these minis come in is extremely large for just 4 minis for they come in a big plastic box-like container. Since this plastic container is a #3 for recycling purposes, most recycling centers will not accept it and it will be just tossed in the trash. Very wasteful. I think the packaging could be more efficient size-wise and maybe being made of a plastic (#1 or #2) that is easier for people to recycle.

I bought this set to go with the Pathfinder beginner box as my friends played through it using the premade characters, which are depicted in this set.The mini's are made from a semi-soft plastic that has enough flex that it won't break, but not so much that they get warped easy.The paint on the mini's is very well done, and includes a lot of small details that I found impressive.Especially the faces, which did not look like radioactive mutants when viewed up close, as many cheap pre-painted mini's tend to.

After watching my kid (7 now, been playing since 5) play this at her child care we had Santa deliver this one in 2007.It's great.

It is well crafted, handsome and durable.

The beads are glass and appear to be well made.

If you don't know this game it is easy to learn.It has the added benefit that the game is easy to "walk away from" unlike other board games that involve lots of setup and last a long while.The games on this board typically last under 5 minutes so it is a great time-killer when a child is being asked to wait "just a few minutes".

Finally a mancala board large enough to hold enough stones with ease. Very nice wood, dosn't look really cheap like the other boards. The pits are large enough to count stones easily, or add more to the game if you want to make it more challenging.

this review is for;Imaginarium Train Station

I actually bought my Imaginarium Train Station at a local Toys R Us (the exclusive Imaginarium distributor) for the store retail price of $11.99. Made primarily of wood it has a attached 7" track that is compatible with Thomas, Brio & Maxim wooden, railway tracks. The blue, top part of the station is made of plastic that houses the batteries and electronic, sound module. Two AAA batteries are needed, but are not included. The three buttons on the top each make their own electronic sound; a train engine noise, a train whistle noise & a train crossing bell noise. There are two plastic doors that swing open back & forth. The set also includes a wooden figure & a train engine.

My only complaint about this product is it was difficult to install the batteries as you literally had to pry off the plastic roof from the wooden station (no screws). Remove one screw from the plastic door to insert the two AAA's and press the roof back on. So far the roof is pretty snug after I initially stored the first pair of AAA batteries, but I'm not sure how snug it will be later after replacing the roof multiple times to change batteries. If the roof doesn't stick back too well later I might consider installing a couple velcro strips. Hopefully my little son doesn't grab the roof & pry it off himself until then. Overall, I think this is a very good value of a set when compared to the other Learing Curve train accessories that I have for my son's train layout that cost more than double of the Imaginarium Train Station. This also the first train accessory for my son's train set to make audible sounds, so it is nice to have my son's train set come "alive" with sounds! Considering how expensive the Learing Curve, Thomas brand products are for wooden railways, the Imaginarium Train Station is a nice inexpensive addition to anyone's wooden, railway train set.

I bought these paddles to go with my new ping pong table. I have enjoyed hours of play with them. Now let me explain the reasoning for my 3 star review. I gave only three stars because first the handles are not the most comfortable things in the world and i have found myself using the paddles that came with the tables for the reason that they are more comfortable. second and this is the second star off the rubber that makes up the face of the paddle has started to peel off, no more than a quarter inch but peeled nonetheless. but on the up side the paddles seem to give excellent control of the ball probablydue to the "grippieness" of the rubber that is on the faces of the paddles. i think that if you are a serious ponger then these paddles may be for you but if you are like me and don't keep score you may want to find a paddle with a more comfortable paddle that you will enjoy playing with for longer periods of time.

I paid $33 for these.Price has been fluctuating, make sure you dont pay radically more without checking around.

The paddles come with a little sticker with ratings on them for Speed, Spin and Control and they are all around 35-50.I gather that the ratings are from the manufacture, and there is no single uniform scale, so I dont know how much meaningful information this really conveys to a casual player.

They play like any other casual use paddles I have ever played with -of the fullsome rubber variety, not the thin wood with a thin rubber piece glued on.The price is right, and we have not seen any durability issues at all despite having these for months.We dont play that much its true, but we have an 8 year old that plays with his friends sometimes (i.e. the paddles have been abused) and despite that they are still fine.I am particularly impressed that none of the balls that came with this set got crushed or dented.In short, the quality is a lot better than the casual stuff I'm used too.

If you are really competetive, you might want something better, but if you just want to mess around with your family and the occassional friends, these seem perfect.It might be possible to find the ultra-cheap stuff that I remember from playing growing up, but you'll regret it due to the durability issues that plague the ultra-cheap stuff.This set is definitely worth the money unless your competetive enough to get irate at the casual crowd.

We bought an old garage-sale table and what came with it were single layer rubber, pips out. Dead and boring. This set, for the money, is an excellent buy. The paddles are grippy, light and well balanced and have more feel and control than $15 over-the-counter single paddles from the Sports Store. They raised the level of the adults' and kids' playing immediately. Everyone enjoyed the game more. Money well spent.

Dexter Board Game

Ordered this game for a Christmas present on the 20th of December (last minute, I know...) and got it the day after with some great expedited shipping!Love love LOVE it!We haven't had time to put it away since we got it, because we keep playing it!Friends and family that watch Dexter (and even those who don't) love the game as well!It says only 4 players maximum can play, but if you find other pieces there is no reason you can't have more people play!Super fun, kinda dark, not for kids, but great for adults' game nights!A little bit of strategy and a lot of luck makes this game great! The best part is that every player gets to be Dexter Morgan! I recommend this product to every Dexter/board game lover out there!

Let me preface this by saying Dexter is my favorite show and so I was all geared up to love this game! A family member gave this to me for a present and then the rest of the family was of course forced to play it with me.

The idea of the game is neat. Each player starts out being dealt two "On the Prowl Cards" these are cards that tell you which two suspects you are trying to kill (you only need to kill one to win), the card also tells you what tools you need to kill the suspect with and what location on the board you need to get to in order to kill them. Each player then starts at Miami Metro police department and must move around the board attempting to collect a suspect and the matching three tools needed to dispose of him or her. Once this is done then the player must move to the specific location on the board where your suspect must be killed. When you are at this location you place your suspect, tools, and on the prowl card into your "garbage bag" a little black plastic pouch and you must painstakingly go back around the board to return all your leftover suspect tokens, tools etc. Then once this is done you must travel to the marina in order to win the game. Throughout there are also other random cards which may give you rewards or have negative consequences and a set of cards of blood spatter which you may match up in order to get a reward.

The game sounds great except for the fact that it never ends! One problem is that there are specific spaces on the board to collect suspects (which are turned downward so that you cannot tell which suspect is located where) and if you do not roll the specific number on the die you cannot stop on a suspect spot. This can lead to players circiling the board endless times without getting a single suspect...and even if you land on one it's pretty unlikely you find one of the suspects you specifically need. The second problem is that you can pick up someone else's suspects as an aggressive strategy, and so a player may be circling the board for an hour looking for one of their two suspects and they can never find them because you took them. A third issue is that the board is not set up in a simple pattern, it has random twists and turns and all of these random one way signs so that you cannot get to spots that you need to get to in order to make progress in the game. The fourth problem is that there is a set amount of each tool token. So for instance there may be five tool tokens which have knives on them but only two that have welding masks. If you need a wedling mask and other players have already picked them up then you cannot complete your mission. So just like with the suspects, if a player is feeling particularly mean they can keep you from winning while they try to find all of their needed items.

My family played this game for an hour before we gave up on the original rules and began to allow players to stop on spaces even though they didn't roll the exact number on the die. Then after another forty-five minutes the rest of the family started telling each other which suspects they had or didn't have and tried trading them. After another fifteen minutes we all gave up and my loving family said that I won because I was the closest to winning out of anyone.

As a whole it was a big let down that took WAY too long to play and no one has been willing to play the game with me ever since!

This is a really fun game. My husband and I play, but made some modifications. For one I made folders with pockets to hold the chips and cards which has greatly improved the quality of the game. Second we pass out 4 suspect cards in order to move the game along quicker.

Some problems: the board can be a little hard to read as there is so much info on it. The chips are not the highest quality and are small. If the chips were plastic and larger I think this would be an improvement.

I do think this could be a fun game even if you are not a Dexter fan. You are not required to have watched the show at all to play like to TV shows turned game.

Maxim Enterprise Inc 8 Way Turn Table

I bought this in hopes of not needing the more expensive Thomas brand. However this will be the first time that buying cheaper was not better. It does not fit up to a roundhouse like the Thomas one so you need extra room to fit it on the table. But my biggest complaint is that it is very small. It can only accomadate 1 engine but so many Thomas and friends have extra parts-Gordon, James, Edward, etcthey all have coal tenders and won't fit on the part that spins around. My son gets frustrated about this especially since Gordon is his favorite. It will probably go over to the grandparents smaller train collection and we will add the Thomas turntable to our collection.

My 6-year old son plays with his trains every day. We got him this turntable a few months ago, and he really loves it! He is able to make infinitely more complex tracks, since he can connect them into eight points. He really loves this turntable and so do I, as it has really challenged him to be more creative in working out track layouts that utilize each component of the turntable, and allow the trains to flow smoothly. Other reviewers have noted that only one of the smaller engines will be able to sit and spin on the turntable, which is true, but I don't really think the intention was to have the trains spin on it, rather to allow for a train intersection, which it does perfectly. I only am giving 4 stars for Durability though. Although we truly love this piece, the ball joints have a tendency to fall out and in the 2 months since we've had it, I've had to repair it 3 times. It isn't a big deal (a few drops of wood glue do the trick) but it means the turntable is out of play for a day while it dries and that is no fun.

No matter what you read on any website selling wooden train track, they are not created equal.Unless you are buying the actual Thomas or Brio brands, no other track is 100% compatible nor are they the same size and dimensions of the name brands.The off-brands are either narrower or wider, and thicker or thinner than the name brands.And they don't fit snugly together with the name brands either.All of these issues makes for a bumpy and disjointed travel and derailment for the engines and cars.

First time buying a Foosball table.Picture looked good and thought kids would like the Steelers theme.However, this is NOT for serious players.Probably only good for little kids.Very light, made of particle board and cheap material.Guess, this would be around $100 if not for the NFL theme.Anyone close to serious should consider tables that are at least 130lbs or more.Hard part of these kind of items is the pain of returning it.So think before you buy!

Kidkraft Aspen Table and Chair Set

I bought this set for my grandsons 2nd birthday.My son found it very easy to assemble and my daughter in law loves it because it is a lovely piece of furniture.My grandson loves to sit at the table and look at books or build with blocks.This is a sturdy set that will last for many years.

I like the quality of the table and chairs.It wasn't too hard to install.Glue was sitting in the box and I couldn't find it until after the whole thing was together.The only thing I don't love is that it's a little small.It's great for 3 years and younger.But it's small for a 5 year old.Unfortunately, he is the one that really uses it.The kids love it for doing puzzles.The surface size is perfect.

We found this set easy to assemble, and so far it has faired well under the abuse of our 3 year old. The table cleans up well after meals. The chairs are a bit slippery on the kitchen floor and are heavy due to their wood composition, but after a few spills our son got the hang of using them. All in all, a good buy.

After extensive research we decided on this table and chairs set for our 22 month old daughter for Christmas.I compared this table to the Kidkraft Farmhouse set and Avalon set.In my opinion, the Farmhouse is too small and the Avalon too big for toddlers.This set was right down the middle.

Right now her toes don't quite touch the floor but she's still able to sit nicely and play at it.Plus, she has plenty of room to grow into it.The set was very easy to put together, 15 minutes max.The material is solid wood and so far seems sturdy.My only wish is that this set came with 4 chairs instead of 2.But after searching the internet I found that we can buy additional Aspen chairs at a price of $30-$40 per chair, which we intend to do.

Very pleased with this, rock solid.Beautiful finish and well made.I'm not sure what one reviewer's reference to glue is about.This doesn't need any glue.All the holes matched easily, the assembly instructions are clear but you'll barely need them.All screw locations are recessed so the screws are flush, nothing sticks out.An Allen wrench comes with it and that's all you'll need for assembly.It took 25 minutes to unpack and assemble.

There's a warning on the Amazon web page about small parts, but that can only apply prior to assembly.If properly assembled, this table and chair set won't come apart in normal use and there are no other small parts.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission doesn't seem to have any specific recommendations on child chairs.They recommend the maximum distance between slats/posts on a crib be no more than 2 3/8 inches (60mm).The distance between the chair back and chair seat is 5".The distance between the bottom of the chair seat and the lower seat leg stiffiners is 5 1/2 inches.That's information, not a criticism. It's conceivable a child could get their head stuck.Make your own judgement.I would have preferred smaller openings.

The box says it's for ages 2 to 5, but once a child can sit up alone most will be OK with this.The seats are low of course.

Kidkraft Brighton Table - White

We looked long and hard both online and in stores for a table that our daughter could use for a number of years to come.She is a tall 6 year old with two older brothers (8 and 9).After finding this table online, we waited before ordering.Now that we have the table, we like it very much.It is extremely sturdy and has a nice paint finish.My daugher is thrilled with the drawer.We also purchased 4 of the Brighton chairs in various colors.This set fits all three of our children and they enjoy playing kitchen or eating lunch together.We recommend this table and think that it may be a piece of furniture that our daughter can hand down to her daughter.

I recently ordered the white table and four chairs for my daughters for Christmas. It is an adorable set, BUT I was VERY DISAPPOINTED when I received the order. I found that the table was cracked and the drawer glides were installed incorrectly, so the drawer can not even be used! Plus, they neglected to send one of the chairs!!

I sent an email to the company to explain the problem. They finally sent the chair 2 weeks later, but I still have not gotten a response on the broken table after nearly one month! To make matters worse, the chair they sent had a rotten leg. So it broke the very first time my fifty pound daughter sat on it!!

I have once again emailed the company. I hope I get a response this time!! I am tired of making up stories for why Santa and his elves have not taken care of this problem!!!

I bought this table and 4 KidKraft Brighton Chairs in pastel colors for my girls' bedroom.The girls ages are 7 and 9.I was a little concerned that the table may be too small for them and it is actually perfect!The table is much larger than it appears. We also have a 5 year old son who sits with them and colors, draws, etc.I've even joined them a few times.They also sit and eat snacks together.The table has a great finish but we went ahead and purchased a piece of glass for the top of it just to preserve the finish.The drawer is just too cute.It holds their scissors, glue, pencils and crayons.This table is very well made, easy to put together and very durable.I would highly recommend it to anyone considering purchasing a table set!

I recently bought this table as well as 4 of the matching chairs.I couldn't be more pleased with them.They were very easy to assemble and I like the the hardware is hidden so it looks like real furniture.The table top had a problem from the shipping (which is bound to happen sometimes).Part of the drawer slide had come loose however, all of the boxes came with a full sheet of paper with an 800 number (in large bold print) to call if there were any problems.I left a message Friday night (after they were closed for the weekend) and I got a call back from the company the next Monday morning.They were lovely to work with and are sending out a new piece free of charge.I would absolutely recommend this set.I would however remind people to notice the measurements listed.A common complaint seems to be that the set was bigger than people had thought.I took the dimensions and mapped it out to make sure it would fit in the space.I was specifically looking for a bigger table (I have 4 kids) and I wanted a taller chair seat height so that we would be able to use it for many years to come.I would compare it to Pottery Barn Kids for quality without having to pay the high prices for the name.
