Enesco Sweet 12" Dolly

Enesco Sweet 12' DollyMy daughter has slept with Dolly since she was 7 months old. Now at 16 months, she "cares" for Dolly -shares her snacks, sippy, paci. She will make Dolly clap, fix her hair, etc. Dolly get loads of hugs and kisses. Dolly has become her security blanket and snuggles with her when she sleeps. At bed time, she kisses Dolly and puts her in the crib before she nurses. When I put her to bed, she grabs Dolly. When she wakes up, Dolly is the first thing she looks for. We do not leave home without her.

Dolly has been through the wash several times, and has held up wonderfully! Her dress has some pilling from washing, but I guess you gotta expect that, but she is perfect otherwise. We have bought a back up Dolly, as we would be in big trouble if we ever lost Dolly. In fact, she had back up Dolly when I was washing the original and she had a fit when she saw me put Dolly in the washer, so she carried around both.

Dolly also is all fabric and very soft (as are all Baby Gunds) so is the perfect first doll for any little girl. No hard plastic features. And Dolly is very cute too. Highly recommended.

I bought this for my new baby grand daughter. She is a thumb sucker and it is easy for her to hold while she is soothing herself with her thumb. It is so easy to toss in the laundry and comes out like new.

I received "Dolly" for my baby shower...my daughter started sleeping with it every night when she was 3 months old.I bought 2 more "back up dollys" in case we lost one or one was in the laundry. My daughter had reflux when she was an infant so, needless to say, Dolly got washed quite frequently. When one dolly was in the wash I would pull out a "back up dolly"...my plan worked great until one day when she was 3 years old, she realized there was more than one Dolly! She then wanted all three of them.Well...my daughter is now 8 years old and STILL sleeps with ALL three every night. One as a pillow and two tucked under her side. After EIGHT years of love, baby accidents, milk spills, washing machines and dryers....Dolly(s) is still going strong! They are a bit 'loved' looking, but always perk up after their weekly run through the laundry.I have never had to mend any of them...they are FANTASTIC!I think I'm going to buy a new one just so she can see what Dolly used to look like in her younger days ; ). I would definitely give this Dolly my Mommy stamp of approval.

This was for my first grandchild and I wanted to make her first doll special.I had looked at many dolls at stores and on the internet, but had not found quite what I was looking for. When I saw the Sweet Dolly, the description (super soft), other reviews, and especially that it was washable I knew this was the one.

I was rewarded for my choice when my granddaughter grabbed for it as her parents were leaving for a couple of hours. She did not let it go the whole time we were walking and playing to pass the time.

I would highly recommend this doll to anyone looking for a first doll.I am seriously considering buying another one to stay at our house for when she comes to visit.

Perfect best friend. My daughter has had one of these dolls since she was born and it's been through everything. We wash it at least every other day and the doll has held up VERY well.I ordered this one as a replacement doll for "just in case" since she's so attached and so far she's holding up just as well as the first doll.

Stiga STS375 Table Tennis Table

Stiga STS375 Table Tennis TableThe delivery was made by Eagle on Sunday totally unexpected but pleasant surprise. The package is very HEAVY but well protected. The shipping receipt says 305 lbs which is 60 lbs more than the Amazon's description. So invite all your biggest friends and be ready for one heck of heavy lifting. The assembly took a couple of hours there are lots of bolts and nuts.Definitely you will need a set of helping hands to hold the two top pieces on side way while you put them together. You will need at least 7'8" of ceiling clearance to stand the table up after the assembly. The end result is a sturdy, nice ping pong table from a reputable company.Once assembled, raising up the half top piece (for self practice) is a breeze.Overall I like the table and I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the assembly.

What a HUGE disappointment. We received the table and it is very warped. The customer service # said to leave it in its upright position and it would straighten out.It didn't.We had to go to a machine shop and have angle iron made to span the table to get it straight. They sent the wrong net with it.It doesn't fit and it flops and doesn't stay up.We also talked to the company about that. They said the table wasn't even supposed to be sent out with a substitute net.Well it was and the net is on "backorderwith no date determined".When you have a $600, large item delivered and it gets taken out of its crate it is hard to return it.If we had it to do again, WE WOULD NOT BUY IT!Still waiting on the net.I don't know if we will ever get it.Buyer BEWARE!

The Stiga STS375 ping-pong table is solid and well constructed.I spent many days searching reviews and websites for a new table to replace my 20yr old Sears table.Stiga had the best reviews.Amazon had the best price plus free shipping! The shipper was CEVA and they were fast. The table was delivered in a week from when I placed the order and it was in excellent shape when received.

The table was fairly easy to assemble, provided you use the right tools. It took a little over two hours using a socket wrench and open-end wrench (instructions suggested using cresent wrench, which would make it a long time to assemble with that tool). The table is heavy! And once you have it set-up to play, nothing is going to make that table sway or move when playing.Awesome table and a lot of fun playing ping-pong again!

Ok so me and my wife bought this table. Two weeks after we ordered it the guy calls and askes if I can help him move it into our house because his co-worker was out.I helped him but if this happens to you please realize this table weighs 300 pounds at least. The first table arrived in a tiny van and I really dont see how they fit it inside (It was placed inside diagonally), it came with 3 giant holes in the box, one of the holes knocked loose a interior bracket making the whole thing useless. The good news is returning the product and getting a replacement was a breeze, the bad news is that this added two more weeks to get a undamaged table. So we set up the second delivery date and this time it came in a giant truck ... but again instead of two unloaders I had to help ... again. The package was undamaged but halfway through putting it together we realized we were missing 12 screw on bolts. So we went to lowes and for $2 we finished putting the table together. All in all this is a excellent product.I read previous reviews and I saw a reviewer who had the exact same two things happen to him.I said to myself that was just bad luck.Well after it happened to me also I can say this, it seems like you will have a very good chance of getting a damaged table or a table missing parts just like we did.So it is worth it but you better have patience =).Dont say you were not warned in advanced =).By the way we love the bounce of the ball this is definatly the best table for the price we paid (Very close to tournament quality).

Vibrating Football

Vibrating FootballI remember this game as a kid, so thought I'd give this one a try for my sons.First of all, it's made of very cheap plastic, and is field is lightweight. What that means is the players hardly move unless you press on the base of the game while it's vibrating. That's not the way it should be.The materials are obviously made in China and thus, everything is cheap plastic.Even the players are plastic mono-color (blue or red) with no detail or variation in color.I was expecting the players to have colored jerseys or some team resemblance. The kicker/quarterback is nearly impossible to operate. It's supposed to throw/kick, but more times than not, the ball doesn't go anywhere. The footballs are little foam pieces, I guess that's what they've always been, but running with them is about all you can do.The bottom line it's a cheap knockoff that doesn't hold up the original. But then again these days, what does?

We had to make balls out of cotton balls. My eight year old grandson liked the game but as far as I am concerned, the footballs are an integral part of the game!

Art Desk and Chair Set

Art Desk and Chair SetI reported to the manufacturer/berman industries upon checking the product and they say they will change the product, I told them that I will return the item to amazon but they said no need, and that I can throw the whole thing or give to somebody who wants it, since they will replace everything. But when the delivery comes after a week, they only replace the paper cutter!!

Desk is well made. It took me about 20 min. to put it together. I bought this for my granddaughter and she uses it every day.

It seems durable and was easy to put together after I threw away their bootleg allen wrench and got a good one. I would have NEVER been able to put the thing together without a quality tool, that piece of crap the sent totally derailed the process. However now that it is together the desk seems very sturdy and good.Adults are sitting on her little chair all the time and it is feeling very stable.Pay attention to the placement of the paper roll to avoid haveing to shuffle the legs around multiple times when putting it together. They should number the legs or something I guess you can note the colors and which way they need to face to hold the roll.

Navia Dratp Collectible Miniatures Game CMG Unleashed Darkness Booster Pack

Navia Dratp Collectible Miniatures Game CMG Unleashed Darkness Booster PackNavia Dratp may be a weird name, but the game play is supposed to be top-notch.

Navia Dratp

So I cracked open the red and blue sets. Each set came with a game board, a set of 7 black Gulled and 2 red Gulled, and 60 Gyullas worth of crystals.

The terminology apparently comes from Anime (or is anime themed), but here's the skinny on what that stuff actually is:

1) Gulled are pawns. They come in two flavors: black and red. The black pawns can only move and capture by going strait forward one square. They sit in your second rank. The red pawns sit in your first rank, and can move forward strait or diagonally one square. When you move these guys, you get a single Gyullas crystal for the black, or 3 for the red. This is your primary method of getting Gyullas crystals moving your pawns.

2) Gyullas crystals are money/power/mana. Think of it as you will, these things let you juice up your other pieces the Maseitai.

3) Maseitai are your primary pieces. They've all got different names and models and powers. They're all different. The two players have teams composed of completely different Maseitai. Of course, only the Gulled are in play in the beginning. Your Maseitai are held in reserve in your "Maseitai Keep" (essentially just off board). If you pay enough Gyullas crystals, after you move a Maseitai you can "dratp" (pronounced "drap") it.

4) Dratping your Maseitai lets you change the way the piece moves, for some pieces. On other pieces, you active a special power, or give it a special ability. For example, one piece changes from just being able to move like a king to being able to move like a queen. Another piece is able to move one space diagonally in any direction by default, but when you dratp him he's able to add 2 spaces out orthogonally to that so it's like a diamond, but without the orthogonal squares one space away. In addition, this same guy (after dratping) gives you 10 Gyullas crystals if he gets killed.

So let's see how this plays out in an actual game. Last night, in the second game I played against my opponent (Will), I took the opportunity to bring this piece out (as it was one of the 7 I had cooling their heels in my Maseitai keep). My opponent brought out his Gyullas Turtle before too long, which (after dratping) moves like a red Gulled (one space forward in any direction), but gives you 6 Gyullas crystals. I knew that if I let this dude make a steady progression he'd be racking up the crystals (which could be deadly for me), so I busted out with my Troll (the one that can move in a diamond after dratping). I thought the Troll would be nice, because he only costs 4 Gyullas crystals to activate/dratp, but is given a quite nice flexibility with his movement thereafter. So I moved forward to stymie the progress of the Gyullas turtle on the right hand side of the board, partnering with the red Gulled on that side.

The red Gulled is pretty cool, because he's like a shield. The normal black Gulled aren't flexible at all in their movement (they can only move and capture strait ahead one square), but you get two uber-Gulled colored red, one on the left side, and one on the right. Paired with my Troll, I was in a position to at least slow the advance of the Gyullas Turtle.

Why was it important that I do that? Well, there are three real "victory conditions" to the game. The first is like Chess kill your opponents King (in this case, the Navia).

A Navia is like a king in Chess. Only she's a cute little anime girl. She moves just like a King (one space in any direction), and when she gets killed, you lose the game. Her dratp cost is 60 (all of your Gyullas crystals), but if you dratp her you win the game. That's the second win condition, and that's why I didn't want the Gyullas turtle to have unimpeded progress on the board. Paired with Gulled to protect him, my opponent might soon be at 60 Gyullas for the win.

The third win condition is called a "Navia Goal". This is when you're able to move your Navia the entire length of the game board. The game board is 7×7, and if you can make it to the other side of the board with her, you win.

So I figured I had to stop this Gyullas Turtle. I moved up with my red Gulled and my Troll, and (just like in Chess) used the interplay between the two pieces as protection. My opponent decided to bring his Navia up to protect the Gyullas Turtle. This was a weak move on his part, because you need to protect your Navia, and can't sacrifice her like you could a Maseitai battle piece. I was able to twist this to my advantage, keeping my Troll diagonally in front of my red Gulled, so that they protected each other. The troll ended up forking(when two pieces are attacked at the same time by the same piece) his Navia, his Gyullas Turtle, and his Red Gyullas (which had gotten behind the Troll). Since his Navia was endangered, and my red Gyullas was protecting my Troll, he had to either kill the Troll with the Gyullas Turtle (there by giving me 10 Gyullas, since when the Troll dies I get 10 Gyullas if the Troll has been dratped) or retreat his Navia. He chose to retreat his Navia, and so instead of taking the Gyullas Turtle, I took his red Gulled. I didn't like the fact that this guy had gotten behind me, and I would still be attacking the Gyullas Turtle with my Troll (since not only could I move diagonally in any direction one space, but I could jump 2 spaces out in any orthogonal direction as well). The Gyullas Turtle can't move backwards (only forwards, like a Gulled or a pawn in Chess), so he decided to suicide him by moving forward and claiming 6 more Gyullas crystals. I took him with my red Gulled.

Now taking pieces has two effects. Firstly, the piece is removed from the board and placed in your opponents Graveyard. That's where he keeps all of his dudes that have gotten killed, and sometimes you can pull guys out of there and bring them back to the keep or directly back to the board. Secondly, you get a number of Gyullas crystals equal to the dratp cost of the piece if you kill it. So, for example, since his Gyullas Turtle costs 5 to dratp, I took 5 crystals as my reward for knocking him out. In addition, since I moved my red Gulled to do it, I took 3 more (since you get 3 crystals when you move those guys forward).

Now I had this red Gulled pretty far up on the board, so I tried to pull a line over.

A Gulled Line Over is when you're able to move one of your Gulled to your opponents first rank (the farthest you can move on the board). It's kind of like pawn promotion in Chess, only you have a choice you can choose 10 Gyullas crystals as a reward, or take one of the guys that's been killed and put him into one of your open "summon squares".

On the board, there are Summon Squares for each player. Aside from the center square in your first rank (where the Navia goes), the rest of the squares on your first rank are available to bring your Maseitai battle pieces into the game. In addition to that first rank, the outermost spaces in the second rank are also summoning squares.

On each turn, you can either move a piece, move and dratp a piece, dratp a piece and not move, or summon a Maseitai battle piece from your Maseitai Keep onto a summon square (bringing him into play). You can't move one piece and dratp another (like say move a Gulled and dratp your Troll).

So I decide I'm going to go for the Gulled Line Over with my red Gulled, and I gleefully sacrifice my Troll to do so. By allowing my troll to be taken, my Gulled (which is no longer protected by the Troll) is able to take the piece that took him, move out of reach of the Navia (just moving forward wasn't going to cut it on that one), and get to my opponents second rank. I claimed 3 crystals for moving my red Gulled, and whatever I should have for killing his other Maseitai (the one protecting his Gyullas Turtle).

I'm starting to notice that I've racked up some serious crystal action. Moving this Gulled across the board, killing his guys, and getting my own Troll killed have set me up pretty nicely. Quite nicely indeed. I smell a Navia Dratp coming (60 crystals needed for the win). I decide to take 10 crystals instead of restoring my Troll when I do the Gulled Line Over, giving me 10 crystals (when you line over, you don't get your crystals for moving the Gulled). I see now that I was playing the Line Overs wrong. It's not when you get to your opponents first rank, it's when you move past it (into their Maseitai Keep area). No matter live and learn.

At this point, I was only maybe 10ish crystals short of victory, and so I started advancing my left red Gulled. My opponent busted out with one of his big dog pieces (after dratping, this guy gets to move like an inverted chess Knight jumping 1 or 2 squares in any direction, except the spaces a Knight would be able to move). Alas, that was not enough to save him, or even delay my inexorable advance. After a couple moves, I claimed my remaining crystals and was able to perform a Navia Dratp FTW!

Closing Thoughts

Navia Dratp is like Chess. Only better. In Chess, the game is static. People (and machines) memorize opening moves, and know how to reply to them. As players become more intimate with the game, they learn long strings of these advances and replies. This has no place in the world of Navia Dratp. You bring your pieces in where and when you want to bring them in. You can dratp them to change how they move, and effect change on the board.

The production quality of the pieces is outstanding. The models are just great very detailed. They're not painted, and look like they have a black wash effect on gray out of the blister. But I think they will look awesome once painted. Wishborn sure did!

The crystals are a nice touch. They're made out of a rubbery feeling plastic, and are translucent. I was thinking "I need to get some real gems, or at least glass crystals for this game" so we'll see. It's a nice touch, and they seem pretty durable. There are 10 smaller white/clear crystals worth 1 point, 6 larger blue crystals worth 5, and a single 20 point crystal for each team.

The Gulled look like little tombstones, and have a 7 sided star on them. They're actually kind of evil looking, and reminiscent of pentacles. I wouldn't mind finding some replacements for them in the future.

The board is the only area of the game that sucks. It's design is great, and it's got a good look to it, but the quality of the cardboard is poor. The board I played on (the red one) was a little warped. I'll have to find a way to flatten it out.

The gameplay is quite fun, and Gulled played a larger part than I expected. The black ones are wimpy but useful nonetheless, and the red ones are pretty powerful (especially coupled with the fact that they give you 3 Gyullas crystals each move). It's definitely a tactical abstract, but the pieces give it a nice flavor. I'm not a big fan of anime, but who doesn't love cute little anime girls? The Maseitai each have a unique look as well, and are so well crafted and large (2-3 inches in height) that the game is just fun to look at. I'm sure having painted pieces will just enhance that effect.

I've heard that Navia Dratp has a small but rabid fan-base. I can understand why. The game is fun, has multiple victory conditions, and variable player powers. I'm looking forward to playing some more!

Alex Toys Little Hands, Clay Pictures

Alex Toys Little Hands, Clay PicturesMy daughter was just given this for her third birthday, and though she seemed content to play with it, it seems like a toy with very limited use. The clay that the kid is supposed to stuff in the plastic mold is very stiff, and the small holes in the mold make it difficult for someone of her age to push in neatly. She smooshed the clay as best she could, but without my help she could not possibly make the picture look like it does on the box. If she were old enough to work the clay to make it supple and then carefully stuff the holes, I'd think she'd be old enough to be bored by this not-very-creative toy. To use the mold more than once, you must carefully pull the clay from the holes and try not to make the colors mix.

The clay alone would be more fun; don't bother with this if you have small children and don't want to "help" them do the whole thing.

I don't think this is too hard for a 3 or 4 year old to do, but my issue is that some of the colors of clay do not work at all.The blue and green color were completely hard, and when you try to use them for the picture, they just crumbled like dried out play dough.Didn't seem to happen with the other colors.Just 2 of the colors. Not cool.

Buy Alex Toys Little Hands, Clay Pictures Now

I agree that the clay is hard. Harder than it should be and yes a kid won't be able to make it without assistance. That said it does provide great practice for fine motor skills. My son was engaged with it for quite sometime so it could also depend on the patience level of the kid. We proudly gave it as a birthday gift to his uncle who loved getting it. I hope Alex toys read this and makes the clay softer. Else like someone suggested get your own clay ! I like the fact that there is no messy glue, or glitter or pieces that create a clean up situation later. I think it would be great for an inflight situation too.

I agree with the other reviews. This toy is too hard for a three year old to push the clay (which is not very soft) into the holes. I had trouble myself making it neat enough to result in an attractive picture. In addition, the toy is boring.Within the first five minutes of taking the project out of the box, my child was just interested in playing with the clay.

Want Alex Toys Little Hands, Clay Pictures Discount?

I bought this toy at clearance at TJ Max for a very small price. Usually Alex Toys are a good value, this one was not so great. As another review stated, it was too hard to fill in holes with the clay they provided, I had to do most of the pushing myself. My daughters (4 and 2 at that time) used leftovers to build something else, but overall not much fun.

Melissa & Doug Wooden Take Along Tool Kit (24pc)

Melissa & Doug Wooden Take Along Tool KitI bought this for my 2 year old Bob the Builder fan. It is difficult to use the toolbox to hammer into, but if you turn it on it's side your builder can hammer all day long. It's a little tight at first, but after you hammer a couple of nails and pull them out it gets easier. I like this toolbox because its a little more difficult for little hands. My son has to really think about hitting the nails and turning the wrench and screwdriver, but he can do it. This set looks real and my son loves that. If he sees his daddy using tools he will go get his tools so he can help. Some kids might get frustrated with it, but I think that it's teaching fine motor skills.

We love it

Besides being one of my son's favorite toys, I feel great about him playing with it all the time because he is building on his fine motor skills. Also, it is adorable to watch him follow his father around the house when his father fixes things.Cleap up is made easy by the tool box that comes with it and this toy is holding up unbelivablly well considering how quickly my son's toys normally break!

My son LOVES most construction toys and barely touches this one. While there are "nails" and "washers and screws", they are awkward to use on the toolkit mainly for lack of space. Very cute, though, just not terribly practical.

Don't bother to buy this, if you think of providing your kid(s) with an extended wooden construction kit by adding pieces from various "Melissa & Doug" wooden construction sets together, as the various sets are INCOMPATIBLE (screw threads and lengths, plate thickness, etc). A true disappointment. The whole series is poorly conceived, with no thought given to compatibility between and therefore expansion of sets. Worse yet, quality is poor: threads on screws tend to chip or erode very easily during use, leaving saw dust all over the play area. The number of pieces is too limited to allow for more than the construction of two or three toys, and one must disassemble an existing construction before building a new one.

I bought this for my grandson when he was about 2 1/2.I has been a total disappointment, even at age 3.

Nails & hammer:At first, he really enjoyed hammering in the 2 nails into the holes in the side of the toolbox. But an strong adult needs to pull the nails out.I can't do it. He really hammers hard!

Hammering the nails is the only part of the toy that he liked, but he lost interest.Even at 3 yr. I can't get him to play with it.

Screws, washers, screwdriver & wrench:

The holes in the side of the toolbox are TOO BIG for the screws. The 6 screws are over 2" long and there are washers that can be screwed on.However, it is so much easier to use your fingers to fasten the washers, so the screwdriver isn't needed. And it is useless to try to use the wrench to unfasten them.

*** A toddler cannot use the screwdriver while holding the washer in place all by himself. He doesn't have enough hands.

I called Melissa & Doug, thinking I wasn't teaching him how to use the toy correctly. The rep. said we should connect the brackets with the screws to make interesting designs or I'm not sure what. But I did try to show him.No Fun!

Little Tikes Easy Adjust Play Table

Little Tikes Easy Adjust Play TableWe were looking for a sort of play table for our son and came across this and we don't regret it.

After getting previous Little Tikes merchandise (table & chairs, toy box) we already knew about the durability of what we would be getting with this. So far it's been a year and still going strong.

The best part of this play table is that it doubles as a desk for either homework or for some sort of art. It's easily height adjustable and under the top piece, you have decent storage space. Along the sides are 4 storage bins which are easily accessible for children. Cleans very easily overall and this product will last you a long time, unlike other products out there. Everything we have bought from Little Tikes has lasted well past the price and this is certainly no exception.

Perfect for train sets, puzzles, drawing, or in our son's case playing with his cars. It doesn't come with a chair, but we used one of the extras we had from the Little Tikes table and it works perfectly.

Really a great product overall and you do get your money's worth.

My only complaint is that you really need to space to have full access to the side bins. This is a great size table, and nice safe construction. The bins fall out of their little compartments fairly easy, so easy that my toddler can dissemble the bins and dump the toys, but he can also snap them back in and put the toys away! The kids all have a great time walking around the table have easy access to whatever toys are scattered on top!

Gund Sesame Street Cookie Monster Plush 13 IN

Gund Sesame Street Cookie Monster Plush 13 INVery soft, made with the quality you would expect from Gund. It was

smaller than I expected, though, being that it was described as "new

larger size." Cute, though.

I guess when I read "New Large Size" I expected a Large doll. This doll is small. My kid will still love it but instead of saying "New Large Size" they should just put the actual size in inches. If you want a large doll this is not the one.

Haba Ball Track Roll 'n Roll 'n Roll

Haba Ball Track Roll 'n Roll 'n RollBeautiful toy. Very well made AND.....are you ready......no extra packing except for the box it came in!!! No zip ties, no twist ties, no tape, no plastic!!! Just box and toy!!!! No assembly required!!!! And super fun! This is a toy of quality that you can pass down.

Really great toy! I thought it was overpriced (but it was a gift) and it took up too much space in our little house...but we LOVE it!!! I've regifted/donated so many plastic ball toy things that we always get as gifts, but this is the one thing I've held on to. My son and his friends have played with it for over 2 years (he's 3 1/2 now) and now our 8 month old baby will play with it for 20 minutes at a time. It's really well made and old-school fun with no batteries and plastic. If I ever need to buy someone a nice baby gift, I'm going to buy this.

We've had this for 2 years and have NEVER had a ball not make it down the track. Not once.Ours is made very well and we have no complaints about it.It was a great purchase. Our son still plays with it all the time!As he gets older he finds new ways to play with it, like putting 2 or 3 balls on it and holding them back from starting until he gets the # of them all set to go.

I generally love Haba toys, but they seem to have issues with their ball tracks (we have the construction set for older kids, also). We bought this for our nearly two-year-old. It's not fun. The balls don't stay on the track. A ball put in at the top has less than a 50% chance of making it to the bottom, so you spend all your time chasing runaway balls. The wood is lovely and I'm sure it will last forever especially since my kids have no interest in playing with it. SO not worth the money.

America Yacht

America YachtBY NO MEANS an authentic hull model of the AMERICA, the lines are all wrong, but wonderfully made, looks great, and the rigging is close to authentic.

BT: BattleForce Starter Box 2 - Clan

BT: BattleForce Starter Box 2 - ClanI used to get iron wind mechs for bt a long time ago when all of my friends played. Since then their quality has stayed the same, and the mechs are just as outstandingly detailed. Id recommend to anyone who wants high quality (though kinda small) mechs.

Note: these mechs are much smaller than I anticipated. The Kodiak is only about 3 cm tall. the Jenner iic is about 2 cm tall. None of the mechs come with hex bases, so make sure to order enough for each mech to have one.

Imaginarium City Central Train Table

Imaginarium City Central Train TableThe Imaginarium City Central Train Table is a wonderful toy; children love to "operate" the trains, "fly" the helicopter, and pretend as they take charge of the world they create. Our grandson played with this toy every week after his swimming lessons, so his parents decided to purchase one.

Constructed of particle board finished like wood, the 3-foot by 5-foot base is sturdy enough to withstand enthusiastic play.A drawer on both of the 5-foot sides provides ample storage space for the multiple, small pieces. The stops on each drawer are one of the weaker points of the Imaginarium City Central Train Table.Of the four screws, two per side, provided with the set-up only one caught when screwed in.We anticipate having to replace these stops in the future. The top of the table, which is two separate pieces, is a thinner particle board onto which the base scenery has been applied. It appears this could be gouged or scraped, but should survive most children's play.

The wood tracks and buildings are well made; the finish is smooth and there is no firring on the end cuts. The train pieces are also finished well; colorful painting of the cars adds to the toy's appeal. The fact that all the pieces are included in the set-up makes this an attractive choice for those not wanting to have to purchase multiple add-ons.

Complete assembly and set-up takes about two hours.Instructions are clear and easy to understand. The most time-consuming portion of the set-up was laying out the tracks. To save time in the future, we marked the alphabetic identifier on each specific, discrete piece. Then we numbered the pieces, beginning with 1 and progressing through the final number. We then marked the number 1 and number 2 pieces on the set-up schematic so we could, in the future, identify the starting point of the layout. This has already proven helpful as our two-year old grandson loves to play "earthquake."

This Imaginarium City Central Train Table seems much larger than its 3-foot by 5-foot dimensions indicate. In my opinion, unless you have a playloft, dedicated playroom, or an enclosed, temperature and moisture-controlled space, the Imaginarium is not a toy for most homes. In my daughter's case, she now has a colorful coffee table and little floor space remaining in her family room. This is not a toy which can be put outside, even on a covered porch, or in a basement which is not temperature/moisture controlled as the particle board is likely to warp.

Finally, this is a rather expensive toy based on initial cost and the number of likely play-years.However, if you have multiple children and plenty of room, your opinion may be different.Toys `r Us has the Imaginarium City Central Train Table for about $130, so you should watch for a similar price if you do purchase this toy.

Because of the quality of construction, the complete set-up, and the enjoyment children do derive from playing with the Imaginarium City Central Train Table, I have rated it as a 5-star toy despite its few drawbacks.

My son's newest obsession is cho-cho's. We knew we had to buy him a set for his 3rd birthday. I looked around alot and this set looked great online. There was very few reviews which made me nervous but we made a great choice! I put most of the table together by myself, minus a few places where you need someone to hold for you screw in some pieces. it took about two hours total for both the table and train set. My son was soo excited and he could barily contain himself while I assembled it! After all together, my son is in love. I love the set as well, but there a few negatives. First the table is a particle board not solid woodbut it is sturdy and should last for years. My biggest negative is the train station on the set. It takes a while to get it alligned correctly and popped into place. I would like for it to have some screws to hold the roof in place. I think they may not have done this because you have to take the roof off to put batteries on the underside of it. I think unscrewing it every few months to replace batteries would be better then having to reallign that roof every time it gets knocked loose. But that would not be enough for me not to buy this set, its more of a just an annoiance. Other than that one piece, it is great! Almost every building has some sort of light or noise to keep your child engaged. So many great buildings to play with. My son loves the train wash station and the train shed!I would defently recommend!! Now if you live anywhere near a Toys R Usplease do not waste your money on Amazon. I bought this there for $159 and I picked up same dayno shipping! Great table but not worth almost $200 more than what I paid for it.

just bought this @ a local Toys R Us.wow. great value and construction.was about to buy a larger mega blocks thomas set when i saw this for $130 (on sale). For double the price of the mega blocks i was able to get 6x the stuff. The table is solid and fairly easy to build (1 hour).Bring an electric screwdriver and you'll be fine.

This model is fully compatible with all brio and thomas sets.My son has not stopped playing with it since i setup it up 2 days ago.

I also got this at Toys R Us, where it ranges from $99 (crazy deal) to $149 (regular price, I think).I think even at $149, this is a great deal!I did ALL of the research, trying to decide between a regular "train table" and an activity table from manufacturers such as Nilo, PB Kids, Land of Nod.I wanted something that did not scream "train table" in my living room, and even though there is no hiding what it is, the espresso color helps as it does not stand out in my living room. The drawers are not large, but that is actually my son's favorite part, he climbs in and sits in the drawers as he is playing with the table (surely not recommended, but he is 25 lbs, fyi)!I am very impressed with how sturdy it is, and I am even more impressed with the 100 accessories! The engines are great (totally on par with vintage Brio that we already had and a $15 Thomas engine), the tracks are great, and all of the pieces are great. If you were buying Thomas brand equivalents, well, that would just be super expensive. All in all, this was a great purchase and after all of my research, I am really glad that I went with the Imaginarium!

Darda Upside Down Overpass

Darda Upside Down OverpassDarda is a huge hit with my four year old daughter! She loves her track, even though she has little to no interest in assembling it.Once assembled, though, the track is fairly sturdy and easy to keep set up for several days.We put it in our dining room and a few times each day would sit down and run our cars on it for awhile.

A month after Christmas, it's been moved to a bedroom where visiting children flock to play with it.We have three cars total so there are enough for a few to play at a time.

Some 3 year olds don't have enough manual dexterity to move the cars fast and long enough to wind them. They also seem to not understand that starting the car on the straight, level part is most effective.I've had to demonstrate that to a few little boys, but my daughter caught on right away.I'd probably not suggest this toy for someone under age 4.

Our daughters loved playing with the display at our neighborhood store, but once we got it home, we quickly realized that in order to use the track in any of the suggested configurations, one would need to screw the green baseplates to a table or board (like they have it at the store).

However, there is no indication of this on the box or in the instructions. In fact, the instructions say you can use it on the carpet.

The problem is the big, twisted "overpass" piece of track. When you bend it to make the giant loop, it naturally pulls the two green baseplates up off the floor! So you cannot run the cars on the track without holding down each baseplate with your hands.

That's just plain ol' bad engineering.

Darda: Either clearly tell customers they'll need to screw it to a table like a train set, or re-engineer the set to not pull up like this.

My sons are into race cars and tracks since seeing the movie CARS.They are to little for the electrics race tracks so I bought them a set of Darda tracks and they are so thrilled. They like designing their own tracks and having races with the cars.Tracks are very reliable and are plastic to have some give.Very impressed with Darda Tracks!Wish they sold them in regular stores. They have the hardest time waiting for a package to arrive!

We got this for our sons for Christmas based on the great reveiws that others had given it and were disappointed. The car jumps the track frequently before completing one go-round.Some of the track pieces do not fit together well, which effects how smoothly the car can go. The track is so light weight that it does not sit flatly on the ground as shown in the photo. Both our 5 and 9 year olds have set it aside.
