Crayola Color Wonder Lap Desk

I got this for my 3 year old son. The idea of sticky paper was great, but it is only one strip along the top and didn't really stick well. the pocket doesn't work well for storing things and there isn't anywhere for the paper to store. I found it to be a bit awkward and wished I would have purchased something more hard cased that open and closed for storage. The hard top has a bit of a texture to it too and so it doesn't work well for just any paper and pencil. I have seen other lap tables that are more conforming in the cushion this is just fluff and doesn't stay put easily.

We took a road trip from Iowa to Wyoming. Although the paper doesn't stick super well to the desktop...it was a great hard surface for our son to color on.He dropped the marker more times than I can count and there truly was no mess!It also served as a mini table for when he needed to eat...not to mention it cleans up really well!The storage for the paper and markers is pretty big as well.We fit quite a few other small items in it to help with storage and safe keeping. I would buy this over again if given the opportunity.

We really like these lap desks and especially for the $10 price.Came with the color wonder paper and markers which can be expensive by themselves.We do a Bible lesson each night at bedtime and the kids lay on the floor and write and color using their lapdesks.we've also taken them on car trips and they work well for that also.we're very pleased with this product!

We keep this in our car for longer car trips (which happen quite frequently) for our 3 year old. She LOVES it. It then goes from car-hotel room and she doesn't even loose the markers since it has the zip compartment.

My Granddaughter is pretty quick to learn, so I thought this would be a great way to keep her occupied in the car. Nope!

First of all, the paper used with this lap pad is extremely expensive for a toddler who just scribbles. It doesn't stick at all well to the pad, so all in all it isn't a great deal. She also doesn't really like the "mess free" crayolas. The colors don't "come up" right away and she is too little to understand why and doesn't want to wait. She does like the zipper compartment that holds the special paper and pens.

One great point: These crayola pens are easy to wash out if the child gets them on clothes, furniture, etc. They do what they are advertise!!!!!

I should have waited until she was older.

Magnetic Letters & Number Play and Storage Desk

This toy became a great way for me to help my grandchildren to learn their letters and to read...such as spelling and sounding out various words: (example) let, pet, met, get, set, (etc). I had previously purchased Leap Frog Letter Factory DVD where they sang the sounds each letter made.

My only suggestion would be that I would have preferred the sliding black board side would have had a latch system to keep the chalk and items secure when putting away or traveling.

I wanted something that my son could carry with us on trips or car rides. I mistakenly assumed that this would work. First there is no handle for carrying, it is basically a thin wooden box (maybe 2" deep). Secondly, one side slides open for storage but there is no latch or anything to keep it in place should you want to carry it with you. Third, the magnetic letters that came with it are just cheap cardboard (or thin wood) letters and there are not very many.I had purchased plastic magnetic letters separately and I doubt they will actually fit inside because of the small storage space due to the box being so thin. The size of the box is also small, making it difficult to spell more than one word at a time or manipulate multiple letters to see patterns.

This magnetic board is not that great unless you have an older child (like 4 or 5 minimum).

I bought this for my 3 year old son and it is demolished.

The box is a pretty much a "balsa" wood frame (basically a really flimsy, soft, thin wood)and if it drops on the floor it will crack and splinter. The edges are sharp also. That means that if your child leaves it on the floor and you kick it, well, you know the rest.

The magnetic board slides in and out of the wood frame because it has a chalkboard on the reverse side and a storage space inside of the box.

The letters stored inside the box are cardboard sandwiched with colored paper and magntic paper which peels off.

The "eraser" if you want to call it that is a peice of foam.

I threw it out. I would have returned it but it wasn't even worth the effort. This thing was dollar store quality at best.

I have used this to assist in teaching the alphabet to my three year old nephew. It is very nice. It is a very good product and I recommend it to parents and teachers, You can also allow the child to play with it and older children can use it to "play school" with the younger children.

Fisher-Price Song and Story Learning Chair

I got this for my sons 1st birthday and okay I gave it to him before his actual birthday and so glad I did. This is the "new" improved song & story chair and so happy with it. My son just loves it. He sits in it and hits the light to hear songs or the story, he stands behind it and rocks to the tunes. This has to be the best chair ever.

A few years ago, I purchased this chair for a friend's one year old after seeing how much my own granddaughter loved it.I paid approximately $40 for the chair.Today, I went online to see where I could purchase another as a gift for an upcoming first birthday and almost fell off my chair when I saw what this company is charging for that same chair $160.00.It is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen and you have to be crazy to spend that much for it.It's plastic, not gold!!What a rip.Obviously, I won't be purchasing this as a gift anytime soon.

There's no doubt at all that this Song & Story Learning Chair is cute, educational, fun for toddlers, and worth buying; however, the chair has serious -no, egregious -stability issues that come from a design flaw. The chair is not properly weighted or designed: it flips up and over when my toddler gets up from the chair as he touches anywhere on the storybook or table area. The chair tips over far too easily for its targeted age range, and this *is* a serious design flaw and problem for parents. Toy designers know that safety is the number issue, and I cannot believe that Fisher-Pricedid not follow through and correct this second iteration of its musical chair.

I bought this for my son when he was old enough to sit up on his own and pull himself up...I would say, about 6 months. He has played with it EVERY SINGLE day since then. Now, he is 13 months and still loves the heck out of it!! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED from us!

As for any "mechanical" issues or anything like that, we have had NO problems whatsoever with it. We just put it together, according to the directions, slapped in some batteries, and TA-DA!!! Super easy to put together!

I bought this for my seven month old daughter from Craigslist and she just adores it.I can not get her off of it.She likes to sit sideways in it and climb all around it.I put thick couch pillows behind and on the side of the chair to avoid it tipping over.My daughter likes every single thing about this chair.She likes to play with the pages, clock, lamp and the seat of the chair, all of which sing and talk.This toy keeps my daughter busy and engaged.She is 27 inches long and fits perfectly in it.Be careful when buying this product used as it had a recall.The recall included a fix for the chair which is an extra piece that is screwed on toward the back of the chair to avoid baby from getting caught between the table and back of chair.

When I visited my grand daughter I saw that she had the P'kolino table and two of the animal chairs, so when I found that I could purchase the Safari Duck and Ostrich Chairs on amazon, I 'went for it'. Now the set is complete. Great quality and will last her until she out grows the set. It's a 'real keeper'. We are all delighted with our purchase.

Saitek Mephisto Master Chess Computer

after having this chess comp less than a month, I turned it on one day n the LCD display was only partially working.... the lights n brains of the thing still work fine, but there's missing bars n the LCD display n I haven't dropped it or got soda n it like that other guy.... : )

Doll Tea Set

My Daughter loves the tea set.The china makes her feel grown up and fits beautifully in her dolls hand.The basket and little spoons are a nice added touch.Nice value.

This set is really adorable! It's a perfect match to the table. My daughter has had a lot of fun having tea parties with her American Girl dolls. I was concerned about it being porcelain and thus easy to break, but this set is well made the the porcelain is stronger than some others I've seen. Overall we're very happy with this set.

The tea set is nice, nothing terribly fancy, but works well with the table and chairs we purchased for an American Girl Doll.The basket is very nice for storage.The set is pretty, but the lids to the tea pot and creamer fall off quite easily and don't fit perfectly.The only reason I ranked the durabality rather low is because the set is made of chine.I think the tea set is a good value and I am pleased with this purchase.

Gund Zoe Hand Puppet

This puppet was a great addition to her toy box.It is well made and little girl's love it when they see it...FYI don't pull it out of your diaper bag and try playing with it because a little girl may think it's hers and take it from you at a restaurant.The only down side of this puppet is that it's not really made for big handed people like Dads.

At first, out of the three different products I tried, these things were my favorite for our 2 yr old who seems to be working on his 2 yr molars--conventional teethers don't fit that far back.They are nice in that they come in a pair, so can rotate them or have them in different places, they have a guard to protect against overinsertion & at first seemed to be more durable than the Gum Massager by Mam Gum Massager Brush which started falling apart within days & doesn't have a guard...Until several weeks later, some of the rubber flaps are coming loose or have completely fallen off (luckily found them all & none swollowed or choked on) & now the whole rubber part is splitting in half & coming loose from the plastic part!That is a major choking hazard!Especially when the time we use it is to soothe him when he's putting himself to sleep & can't monitor him.Wish they could make them more durable as I liked them otherwise.Now my favorite is actually the Toothifier The Teethifier II as it is all one piece of rubber, has a guard, fits back into molar area on both sides at once & seems to be the most durable & is easier to clean than the other two products.The only thing is that it doesn't come as a pair, so will have to buy more for grandma's house or for when we lose it temporarily.

My son is just 9 weeks old and he has been showing signs of early teething for a few weeks now. Easy to set up. Great table.Very sturdy.The net is very high quality but the net clamps have a threded plastic nut and the threads easily strip. I had to replace with metal parts from a local hardware store. Other than that minor glitch, all works well.

The main issue that I had with this table is that it wasn't as durable as I thought. The table scratches easily and on the first week I had scratches on the table. The table arrived in a sealed container missing all of the hardware. After a week of e-mail and phone calls, the hardware kit was finally sent. It was missing several pieces.

I think the table will ultimately be fine, but the assembly has turned into a big hassle. Instead of a great birthday present, my son has to be patient while I go to the hardware store for missing components. Very disappointing.
