This is a very difficult puzzle because of the similar colors and patterns throughout.If you are used to doing puzzles and want a challenge, get this!It is beautiful though and well-made.Not all the pieces were clean (had leftover cardboard attached to them) but the way the puzzle was made was pretty creative.Again, this is hard I've been doing challenging puzzles for a few months and am able to breeze through them.This one, I've been able to get one piece every ten minutes.The picture on the box is pretty small, so you don't have much to go from, especially with a detailed puzzle like this.It's a challenge but is fun!!

This was the first add on car that I purchased for my Polar Express train set.The second and only other one thus far being the Diner car....see my review.I had a couple HO sets when I was a kid in the early 80s.Thats about the extent of my model railroad hobbying.Bought the Lionel O scale Polar Express set for Christmas this past year to run around the tree and delight my sons.First thing I had to do was purchase more track as the amount included in the set was not enough to delight myself let alone my boys.Then I looked into making the train longer and was happy to find there were several add on cars.Which leads me to my question.Good Lord, these cars are expensive.Especially for what they are plastic.Sure they have lights inside, but I don't see $65 here.And over $100 for the one with sound?Factor in the original set cost about $300, the extra track I've purchased and the two add on cars, I have nearly $1k invested in this thing.So am I happy with it?Yes.I just think it's a little pricey for what it is.Let me reiterated that I'm a civilian when it comes to model railroading so I don't know if this is the norm for O scale trains.

This genre of games are almost always cheesy and uninventive, as if they were created by some kids just learning about sex and think that swatting a bottom is very exotic.

American Plastic Toy Sand and Water Wheel

I bought it, for an experiment where I needed a water wheel. However, I could understand its fun and educational value when I played around with it for a bit.

Just a word of warning, its much bigger than it seems from the picture. Around one and a half feet tall. So be vary of that. But its an excellent toy for the kids.

We, at the time, didn't have a sandbox and just used this for water fun.My son (almost 4) loves it.It teaches gravity and cause and effect and of course it's just fun.He will place a watering can full of water on the top, run away, and watch the water pour out and move the wheels.It's fun!It's faded in the sun but it's fine.He has a sandbox coming for his 4th bday and I am sure this will be good with sand too.

I was very happy to discover toys made in the USA instead of China, but when we went to use it the top wheeel wouldn't turn. It seemed wobbley on the metal rod and I was upset. It costs $9.99 + $4.99 shipping. I called the company and was told I had put too much sand on it. How can a 2yr old put measure how much sand to use on a toy? I was told to ship it back to get another one which would cost me another $4.99. I ordered this chair set because I liked the colors, good for boy or girl and because I thought they were solid wood, but upon assembly I discovered that the seat of the chairs is manufactured wood. The manufactured wood part I am not happy with, from the online description I believed them to be solid wood. Therefore, anyone hoping to find a solid wood chair set, this is not it. Besides that, I do like the colors and have not had any problems with them being too flimsy or anything.

We ordered these to go with the table and chair set we bought a few months ago, so now we have four chairs.We are very pleased with the quality of the set, especially for the price as compared to some other sets we looked at, and it works equally well as an art table or for toddlers to eat together.Some of the paint has chipped off of the red chair, but that could be because that's the one she uses most and she can be a bit rough.

My general experience with this device was good. It has a beautiful design, simple and useful.

Pros

Very easy to use.

Excellent and modern design.

Good sound quality.

Excellent keyboard until... (see my comment below "After a Year")

Good Touch screen.

Other applications included like: GPS (using wi-fi), compass, etc.

It has a slot for inserting a celular phone SIM card, however it is not ready to be used. I thing this will be available in the future.

Good colors and screen resolution acceptable.

You can use the computer with the keyboard and the touch screen at the same time. Awesome.

Good webcam included.

This is the few net computers with Windows 7 home edition.

Silent and quite.

Cons

Few information of this computer in the DELL site. I hope to have more information from DELL.

Acceptable performance. Nothing too fast, nothing too slow.

When used for long periods tends to generates a bit of heat.

It does not have a flashlight on the keyboard to work at night.

It has a lot of useless DELL software installed, most of them "LITE" versions constantly requiring purchase of the full "PRO" versions.

USB port cover is not practical to use when the computer is on a flat surface.

Other comments:

I like Google Chrome, however for this software the Touch capabilities are not good. I'm using IE 9, it uses the touch screen capabilities in a good way.

I was very dissapointed when I received the computer in a box where you can see in a picture the computer inserted in a Dell station, however when you open the box, you only find your computer alone. The Dell station is sold separately.

Have not a cover included. I bought a Belkin cover.

Strange behavior when the computer enters in Stand by alone. After this, you can listen some "beeps" and you need to try starting up the computer with a forced start up.

After a year

Problem issue with the keyboard. With a few utilization in general terms of the computer, after one year the keyboard presents problems with the following keys:

2, W, Backspace, \, Enter, PgDn, PgUp and Space.I run the Support Center Software and it indicates that everything is ok, however, the problem persists. You know, the computer is out of the original warranty.

All the other computer parts are good.

I recently bought this computer, I had it for two days and decided to return it. tooooo slooow. I love the idea behind it, but dell needs to do more work on it before it could charge up to $800 for this computer. I did everything I could to speed it up, but there just isn't enough ram. HP also has a similar touch laptop, but is more expensive, but has more ram, I wonder if that will have better results. I would have loved tokeep it, I really do think it's going to be the next norm in computers, but it's just too soon maybe.

I don't post reviews on products often but I am so disappointed with this netbook that I've posted three times. I purchased this netbook in May and by August it was no longer working. After having Dell's techs run a diagnostic, going out and getting several independent opinions, Dell admitted several months later that I had a faulty hard drive. They had me send the netbook in for repairs and said they would send it back in 10 days.

Guess what? It's been 24 days and counting. They've now told me they don't have the parts to fix my hard drive and they want to give me a refurbished netbook to replace it. After several weeks of complaining they admitted that they are no longer producing hard drives for this netbook. In fact they are no longer producing the netbook at all. According to the tech I spoke with even customers who are currently ordering new Inspiron Duo convertible netbooks will be receiving refurbished units.I called the Dell sales department to verify and they are now having a clearance sale on this netbook with 'limited' supply.

Don't buy this netbook---it really is a shoddy product. Dell has obviously gotten the message that this product is nothing but trouble.

The design is so attractive , it flips from touch screen to keyboard, I thought I died and went to heaven.

3 days latter, for no apparent reason, it slowed down a lot. It was never fast to begin with but from running ok it turned into dead, frozen, not turning on!

Dell support team is composed of overseas crew who appear to tink that holding down the on/off button should solve everything. They did The bare minimum to help, tried to charge $230 for software reinstallation.

I gave up. I bought an IPad and now I am happy. The soft costs more but it doesn't freeze and it's lighter, better, cuter. So much better.

I would give Dell negative stars if I could. What a disappointment!

When I first got this computer I was thrilled with it. Well, it's almost two years later and I am pretty much still thrilled with it. I have had one problem that needed fixing, it stopped working properly a few weeks ago, but it's fine now. Overall it's been a good little computer. I don't use the flip screen very often anymore, the novelty wore off with that a few months after getting it. I don't use the touch screen anymore really either. I'm to the point that I feel the flip/touch screen is kinda unnecessary. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a notebook.

Take Along Thomas & Friends - Straight & Curved Track Pack

The good: My 3 year old daughter loves to play with Take Along Thomas trains and the plastic tracks and connectors are pretty durable since the joints do take a fair amount of abuse when being pushed and pulled by those little hands from side to side. They still connect together strongly and are a good exercise for her to piece them together.

The bad: There are basically 4 different pieces of track. A short straight, a long straight, a curve, and a curve with a fork (a 3-way). If you want to create more than just a circular or oval track, you have to use the 3-ways. Since the lengths of the short straight and the the 3-way turn are not complimentary (putting them together does not add up to the length of the long straight or the radius of a curve), it is difficult to make multiple loops in which the final connections line up. In order to get the final connection together, you have to stress the joints. This stress causes the connections to sometimes pop. It isn't really an issue for a 3 year old building a track, since they don't really care if all the tracks connect. But if you have an older child (OR A DAD WHO GETS ASKED TO BUILD COMPLETE TRACKS FOR HIS DAUGHTER), it can be frustrating to get the tracks to connect up. In addition, the 3-ways always turn in the same direction! How much money did they save in manufacturing by not having to make one more mold?

These tracks would be great if they did just two simple things: 1. Made the sizes of the pieces so that they were designed to all work together and 2. Spent the money in manufacturing to make a mold for a 2nd 3-way that turns in the other direction. Maybe I'm too picky, but I don't think it would have taken much more work or expense to get it right. I guess they figured little kids wouldn't notice or care.

This track was purchased b/c we did not want all the play sets but wanted something for the trains to run on.Dissappointed for a couple of reasons.You cannot use all the track piece that come in one bag to create a set up without having pieces left over you really need two bags to get full use of the pieces.Also dissappointed b/c we learned that not all of the take along trains fit on the track Fergus doesn't round corners very well (the wider the train the more difficult it is).Also like another reviewer found you have to run the trains in a particular direction to avoid frustration.On the up side it works pretty good with most of the trains and we found that other trains Geo trax, Thomas wooden railway and Tomy electric Thomas trains will work on the track, though the corners are tight so you have to nudge the trains along.I would not likely buy more of this product but I also don't feel that value is so terrible that it should be returned.If I were to do it again I would have bought more wooden track for his wooden railway.

We wanted to expand this collection for my son since he loves his round house station. We travel alot so it is nice to have this set. I do not believe this set is intended to make a complete track, it is intended to expand the sets you already have. It does what it is supposed toallow you to expand the track and make different track designs for the kids. My two year old is figuring it out, but for now I help him with it. It is pretty durable and he is happy with it. I don't have much trouble but no, you aren't going to make a complete track with no loose ends. Just use your creativity. that's what this toy is supposed to dogive kids the opportunity to be creative in developing their own tracks.I think it's great and I will probably buy my son the switch and change track pack too. He prefers this set to his wooden set and the trackmaster set is just too advanced for him... just an FYI...

I bought this foosball table a short while ago, and it was pretty good. The main selling points were the facts that it was fairly portable and had 3 sets of men for each side, rather than the traditional 2 sets. I received the foosball table A LOT earlier than expected. The only thing I didn't know was that some assembly was required. Actually, quite a bit of assembly was required. The table is a great thing to take on the go. As a warning, do NOT rip shots or handle it roughly! The rods holding the players are rather cheaply made, and will bend. It takes some doing to get it back the way it was, but I'm afraid too much of this and the rods will break. Also, the goals do not hold all shots. Occasionally a shot will, if hit hard enough, go through the goal.

Overall, this foosball table is pretty good for the price, but don't expect too much.

5 Ft Turbo Tube Slide Green

This slide seems to be pretty decent, but the instructions could use some help. The instructions state that the slide should be assembled first, and then attached to the playset, but I found it easier to attach the top of the slide and then add sections as I assembled them. Also, the included lag bolts for attaching the top section are too long for most playset crossboards and stick through on the interior of the playset. I ended up adding a second layer of boards across the top and bottom of the opening for the slide to make sure no sharp points were sticking through that could cause injuries. There was an insert included in the instructions stating that a flat washer should be used on the top two lag bolts for attaching the top of the slide to the playset, and while I think it makes sense to use the flat washers, I opted to use them for *all* of the lag bolts attaching the top of the slide to the playset. The heads on the included lag bolts are not that much larger than the holes for the lag bolts in the slide, and I was concerned that the lag bolts could pull through, especially on a hot day when the plastic would be softer. I did have to purchase additional washers because of this (I ended up 3 short due to using 10 more than called for), but washers are inexpensive.

The only issue I encountered was one hole seemed to be miss-aligned on the slide base. There are 6 bolts that hold the base on, and 5 out of the 6 lined up fine. The last one was off by about a quarter inch.

All in all, I'm satisfied with the slide. I'm no construction expert, but had little difficulty in assembling the slide by myself.

The Battle of the Bulge World War II Ardennes Battle Game (Avalon Hill Board Game, 1965 Edition)

This is one of the classic Avalon Hill wargames that help build a hobby.

This is the original Avalon Hill game recreating the Battle of the Bulge of December 1944. Battle of the Bulge was the desperate German winter offensive in the Ardennes forest during WWII. This is a two player game between the Americans and Germans.

This is a board game with printed cardboard square pieces played on a hard mapboard. The mapboard is hard paper stock that is the same as what one would find with a Risk playboard. Printed on the mapboard is a map on a hexagonal grid (hex spaces, or simply "hexes"), and terrain for clear, dense forest, cities, rivers, roads, and rough (rocky ground). There are a few charts, such as the one for the combat results table, and a die for random outcomes.

The cardboard pieces represent combat military units. There are divisions, brigades, and regiments. The different types of military units represented are infantry (and grenadier), armor (and panzer), panzer grenadiers (armored infantry), airborne (but for this game acts just like infantry), fortification (which act like entrenchments) and fortresses.

There are three levels of the game, the basic game (simplest), advanced (all the complicated rules), and tournament (fast play with advance rules). There are optional rules for the advanced game. The basic game only includes the land game, no air power, and is the best starter tool for new gamers. The basic game has a more simplified combat results table. The advanced game adds abstract air power, traffic restrictions, fortifications and fortresses. Tournament play was intended for play at game conventions.

The nice thing about Battle of the Bulge is that it uses a system that is similar to most other hexgames. So once one learns one game, the learning curve of a similar game was not as steep. Such is the case with the old Avalon Hill Classics, once you learned one game all of the other played the same way with some minor variation, only the campaign is different.

The basic play used unit types and combat ratings. As expected, infantry would have different abilities from armor or artillery. Each unit had rating printed in large print on the piece, (or "chits," as they are called). For example, take a 4-3 infantry (grenadier) division . The "3" is the movement factor per turn, so the unit can move three hexes in clear terrain per turn. Movement along a road is 1/5, so a 4-3 infantry can move 15 hexes if moved solely along a road. Each side is permitted to move all of their units up to their full movement allowance. The first rating, the "4" in this case, is the combat factor. Combat is worked out in odds, so that if one moves his 4-3 infantry next to the enemies 4-4 infantry, the combat odds are 1-1 (not very good in combat). There is nothing preventing one from ganging up on an enemy unit, and in fact this is the general tactic even in real life. So if one brought up another division into the attack there would be two 4-3 infantry divisions against the enemy's single division for 2-1 odds. For example, if the enemy had a 4-4 infantry division and their turn one brings up three 4-3 infantry divisions to have combat, this would be 12-4 odds, which reduce to 3-1. Then one would consult the combat results table under the 3-1 column and roll the die. The results would resolve the combat and tell what losses there were, and who had to retreat. Obviously, the high the odds will favor that side.

Also in combat, terrain would impact combat. A defender in a city or mountain would have their defense rating doubled. Barbie Dream Kitchen

My girls liked this toy a lot for the first day or two, but it was so flimsy it kept falling over, and pieces kept falling off.The back of the toy is an ugly gray cardboard, so you have to keep it against a wall.

This toy is just very poorly made.For the way this thing was made, I think it should be about half the price.I'm very disappointed with the low quality crap Mattel puts out these days.Their toys are too overpriced for the quality.

All the pieces to Mattel's Barbie Pink furniture line are adorable and are up to date with today's fashion and design conscience little girls, but wow, talk about all the little pieces that come along with the sets that seriously are a hazard to anyone who has animals in the house. After my daughter is finished playing with her Barbies and setting up house, I have to make sure each and every time that ALL the little pieces are retrieved for the sake of my pups. If it weren't for me worrying about my little dogs, I would rest easier. As a matter of fact, I wish I had so many options with my Barbies back in the 60's. Overall, the furniture is functional and the rooms are glam! She has a lot of fun playing with her Barbies and that's all that matters most.

The table itself is a quality product as fasteners are large bolts, washers and the like.Mostly made of composites and pressboard, but it's sturdy and all parts fit together as they should. I like that they provide four pucks and pushers, and unlike some tables I looked at first, they give you felt pads to put on the pushers so they do not mar the table surface.The panel that goes over the table does add an element of excitement as you cannot see the puck come towards you until the last minute, and it can be raised/lowered. Now for the bad...the blower fans seem excessively noisy. The assembly instructions are poor. There are many small wood pieces (probably for packing purposes) that need to be removed before you can even begin assembly, which the instructions do not even mention, and you have to use a little ingenuity to figure out how to remove some of them. The instructions also do not tell you that you will need a drill and a socket set because some of the screw holes were not drilled and/or piloted first and the "tool" they give you is useless at times.You definitely need two adults to assemble, but three would probably be even better, especially to assemble the legs and to flip the table once you are done.It took my wife and I about 2-3 hours to complete assembly.

Original Battling Tops

This game has been a consistent hit among (adult) friends.It's amazing how easy it is to anthropomorphize those little spinning tops!Sometimes they cautiously circle and taunt each other, other times they clash with such violence that some get thrown feet out of the ring, and still other times they fall down spinning but regain balance to continue the epic struggle ... it's genuinely thrilling, and totally absorbing.Each time I've brought it out with a group (often by request) it's been played for at least an hour solid.

Other reviewers complain that it's too hard to spin the tops.This baffles me a bit.As a kid, playing an older version, I don't remember being frustrated learning to spin the tops--I just remember enjoying the game.At any rate in my recent experience it takes adults with standard motor skills no more than five minutes of patience.

I don't have anything at stake in this product or company.I just feel that strongly about this crazy little game!It deserves more attention simply because it is so good, and I feel a duty to spread the word.I'm thrilled with this re-issue of the classic game.

To call this game "The Original Version" is false advertising.It's like the original except much smaller. I was sorely dissapointed when I got mine in the mail and saw that it's a very small version of the original.

My MIL had this game for her kids ages 6-13 and they introduced it to my kids ages 4, 6, and 8. I thought my 4 year old would have trouble but he quickly figured it out and has been talking about it non-stop! He begs to go to grandma's to play it. Tonight for atleast an hour we had a 4,6,10, and 12 year old "battling" it out. I couldn't pull them away. It might be on the flimsy side but who cares it's fun!

I got this game for my birthday in the late 1960's.My friends and I all loved playing it.I was delighted to see that the game is back in production, but disappointed when I received it.The tops in the new game are almost exactly the same size as the original tops. The plastic in the tops appears to be more durable than the originals. The original top spindles would eventually break after heavy use.Thenew top pullers have slightly smaller finger loops (OK for kids, but not as good for adult hands).The real drawback of the new game is the fighting arena.It is MUCH SMALLER than the original. Also, the new top puller locations are in the corners of the arena.The original game had the pulling sites in the middle of each side of the arena.This allowed you to hold on to a corner with one hand, while pulling your top with the other.I have four of the original games (which had no working tops left).The smaller arena would work all right, if there were places to grabhold of it while pulling the tops. (You need to hang on the arena with one hand, while pulling your top with the other, to keep it in one place on the ground).Four fifth grade boys struggled to make the new arena work while pulling their tops hard. Eventually they gave up. I finally took all the tops and pullers from the three games I bought recently, and moved them into the four original vintage tops arenas and boxes that I still own (each new game gives you 6 tops; only 4 are needed to play the game).These new tops work perfectly in the old game arenas. My fifth grade students beg to play these games at recess!If You really like this game, I suggest picking up an old Battling Tops game arena on ebay, and buying the new Battling Tops game for the tops and pullers. It's worth it!This was and is one of the great classic action games of all time!
