Reed & Barton Silver Plate Airplane Bank

Reed & Barton Silver Plate Airplane BankQuaility is what you would expect of Reed and Barton.Gave to my grandson for his baptism and his parents (father a pilot) loved it!

Also ordered a robot for his older brother. This was to start a family tradition upon the birth of a new baby and provide a special keepsake.Although only 2, my grandson likes his bank.We are very pleased.

We purchased this bank for my son's first birthday and it sits on his tall dresser (out of his reach). It is 1.5 years old now and I walked in today to find that one of the legs has broken off the plane. This is something that is not played with at all and he puts our spare change in the bank each evening before he goes to bed.I called R&B customer service and was told that the plating was the only part of the bank covered under the warranty. We are shopping for another company to purchase a keepsake bank for my son now.Very disappointed in Reed & Barton.

Magic: the Gathering - Loxodon Smiter (178) - Return to Ravnica

Magic: the Gathering - Loxodon Smiter - Return to RavnicaAt first glance, this card looks rather unexciting. In most matches it's just a 4/4 creature for 3 mana that doesn't do much else, which is always good, but never really amazing. Granted, it has art of an elephant carrying a giant hammer, which is awesome, but you're not paying $4 for that. So is this card good? Sometimes, yes. It's never bad, sometimes great, and sometimes quite mediocre.

First, when do you need this card? If your opponents play zombies, then great, stuff your deck full of these. A 4/4 for 3 mana is a must-kill for zombies, which typically attacks with 2/2 and 3/2 creatures. Even if they just kill the Smiter immediately, that's one less removal spell for your heavy hitters (read: silverblade paladin, sublime archangel, wolfir silverheart) to face.

However, if your opponents are playing the kind of deck that plays turn 4 supreme verdicts, this creature simply isn't very good, because it offers you no value in a board stall, and no value after a board sweeper or removal spell. It's also, strangely enough, too slow to adequately pressure a control player compared to stuff like Silverblade Paladin, and does not compare favorably to Thragtusk. Against control decks, you're probably going to want cards that are either faster or harder to deal with, and you're going to want four of Thalia, Guardian of Thraben if you even want a fighting chance. This guy, despite his "can't be countered" clause, is not very relevant in a control match.

Sorry. You probably wanted me to say, "this card is the bees knees!" or, "This card is not worthy of use as extremely uncomfortable toilet paper," but I can't. This card is solid but better choices often exist. Deckbuilding is hard. Welcome to Magic.

Stiga STS 285 Table Tennis Table

Stiga STS275 Table Tennis TableFirstly, regarding the purchase itself:

1. Shop for LANDED cost to your door to make a proper comparison. For items this large, shipping and tax can be 25-33% of the cost. Any indoor table worth anything will be over $400.00 base price. First, I found the Stiga InstaPlay 399.99+119.99sh = ~$525.00 to my door. Then, Stiga 175 (slightly better model) ~$550.00, and finally the Stiga 275 for $599.99 free shipping/tax on amazon. **Definitely worth $75.00 more for two grades higher -MUCH better product, thickness of the steel, wheels etc. Take note that the base price is $399.99 (Instaplay) vs $599.99 (Stiga 275), but LANDED cost difference only $75.00.

2. Guidelines I considered:

(a) MUST be at least 3/4" thick tabletop (1" if you have the budget); (b) MUST be strong brand name, i.e. STIGA, Butterfly etc., to ensure that the tabletop surface is the best and that there is a brand name which is scrutinized by professionals, i.e. they have an image to uphold. (I saw Costco had a more epxensive model with 1" top and VERY solid construction, but the quality of the tabletop surface and construction (arguable most important) was terrible, AMF brand. (c) Know who is going to use the table. In this case, lots of kids and no storage closet, so I needed something better than average to withstand pounding. Again, when all was said and done, for $75.00 (roughly 10% premium) would be worthwhile even without the kids and pounding.

3. Warranty: I opted for Amazon DIRECT since my experiences have always been good, but I would mention that other companies who sell such product actually handle warranty issues (Paddle Palace) for you during the warranty period directly with the manufacturer which can make your life a lot easier, so that may be of value to you. Again, stick with a brand that cares what people say.

But I will say that the Stiga InstaPlay looks very good and assembly is effortless. So if that is of prime importance or you are not in positon to assemble or get someone to help you, go for the Instaplay.

Which brings be to the major gripe:

The instructions were ATROCIOUS, and the diagrams convoluded. You MUST have at least two adults to set this up, but it wouldn't hurt to have three. The parts were of decent quality and the actual number of steps isn't so bad, if you know what you are doing. BUT... we had to redo a number of steps where we used the wrong bolts and the diagrams can be very misleading.I would have expected Stiga to put a little more time put into the manual for a purchase of this magnitude. For $600.00, the manual should have been clearer, IKEA could show them a thing or two on this score.

All that being said, while with good instructions or practice, you can do this in an hour, (a) you should budget 2-3 hours. (b) you MUST complete it once you start or you will likely lose parts or scratch surfaces.

Second gripe, Product Description describes solo play where you can set one side vertically and play against yourself, but there is a large gap between the two tables.honestly I didnt find it much of an issue for myself, but it was misleading as I thought there would be virtually no gap.

TWO more important thoughts:

1. the locks will damage the surface if you do not learn how to manuever them properly.

2. if you intend to roll the table away, make sure you screw the tabletop to the HIGHEST hole in the stands. Since the parts are used for multiple models you will find extra screw holes that may not be used.

Defintley a great buy at $600.00 shipped.I couldn't find anything close for the value, Cost for Quality.

I decided to buy this table because it offered the thickest board at 5/8 inch. Most of other name brand tables (i.e. Butterfly) at this price range were 4/8 inch thick. Thicker table lasts longer and are less prone to distortions. Most full inch thick tables are in the thousand dollar range so this Stiga STS275 offers great value and comes with big wheels that are easy to roll away.

The assembly was a pain like others pointed out. Luckily there were no missing parts. I definitely needed 2 guys and 4 hours to assemble this, it's that heavy and complicated so you better clear out the entire afternoon doing this !!

Now the BAD....

1)Stiga went cheap on some part of the steel frames. They looked thick from the picture but in fact they are just broad & thin (not thick).

2)Stiga went cheap on the included net. Come on! Yes, you are probably the cheapest 5/8 inch table that I could find, but your net sucks. It is just a simple clamp on and not adjustable. I spent a little more money on the Stiga Clipper Pro 72-inch Net and Post, which is tournament grade and adjustable (the net was perfectly aligned across the table, sweet! no more excuses from your opponent saying the ball hit the net or anything like that).

If it comes to either BUY or DONT BUY, i would definitely say buy it because of the high quality construction and most importantly the thickness of the board. Ball bounces are extremely stable! Just remember to buy another pro-grade net cuz you will not be happy with the included one.

When the initial shipment arrived, it was missing a whole mess of hardware.I called them on Monday, and the parts arrived on Friday. Not bad, but of course, I would've preferred everything to have arrived as it was supposed to.After the table was put together, it was flawless. It's a very nice table; it's very solid. However, you definitely need at least two adults to put it together. The dark blue table contrasts well with the bright orange balls.

Damaged in transport twice, due to inappropriate packaging by the manufacturer. The packaging says in large letters to not return this product which makes me think that they must have a lot of trouble with product returns, and for good reasons. We returned the first table (thanks Amazon!). We decided to keep the second one even though it was also damaged because we did not want to spend any more time waiting for the delivery company to come drop off and pick up ping pong tables (a nightmare by itself) and because we had kids waiting to play ping pong. The metal lip that runs around the edge of the table is bent in several places and half of the playing surface is convex instead of flat. Not what I expected for the money.

STIGA sucks.Instructions are worthless. The "pre-drilled holes" didn't exist.Spent enough money on this to expect an easier time putting it together.Should come more assembled, or a big warning about degree of difficulty.Could have made a ping pong table in less time.Over engineered and stupidly delivered.

I bought this table for my 2 boys 4 & 2 yrs old. They love it.Very durable, seats are very sturdy & have been well tested as my husband and I both use them when playing with our boys.I would really recommend this table above the others simply because it has the 3 separate play areas which teaches the boys to have respect for the other's 'work'!Most of the Duplo lego fits with the tray which is great as my younger son moves to the smaller pieces. The TV has been forgotten about since we brought this lego table into the house which is a massive bonus!Thoroughly recommend this addition!

Shrek Forever After Tablecover

Shrek Forever After TablecoverWe got this for my daughter's Shrek theme b-day party. The table cover is large enough to cover our rather big table. It's plastic and looks pretty nice. The Shrek you see on the picture is on the border for the entire cover. The picture may be a little misleading making you think that there was a giant Shrek on one end of the cover... that is only a segment of the entire table cloth. We were pleased with the product.

Great table cover. Good quality. Even able to keep for future. Received on time & was perfect for BDay celebration. Thanks! Great purchase!

SE Magnifier/Third Hand

SE Magnifier/Third Hand
  • Set and hold your work at any angle
  • Great for hobbies, precison soldering or electronics work
  • Magnifying glass for close inspection work

I bought this stand to fix my micro rc heli, and it was almost perfect, but not quite.

Not much to this really, just a stand with two (tight) alligator clips and a magnifying glass on a relatively heavy base. The problem is pretty much every piece of this stand pivots. This is good one hand that you can adjust everything, but bad because really even tightened all the way, some joints may pivot without you wanting them to, thereby causing the stand to fall over.

The stand would have been perfect if the main bar had some way of locking into place, but even so it's 5 bucks, I can't complain much.

Buy SE Magnifier/Third Hand Now

The Helping Hands/ Magnifying glass is a big help when trying to hold something small--like jewelry--and work on it.I modified mine a bit by moving one of the arms so that instead of the magnifying glass being in the middle, it's on the end.Since everything can be slid around, the magnifying glass can still be over what I'm working on, and I have the 'hands' close enough together to hold smaller things.I also put a strip of electrical tape around the clips to put a little protection between them and what I'm holding, so there's no risk of scratching what I'm working on. The base is surprisingly heavy so I can use it for anything small enough to fit on there and balance. The one other thingit could use is a light--to me that would give it a 5 out of 5 rating. It was very inexpensive, and worth way more than it cost.I'm very pleased with the purchase and will recommend it to my friends.

I need to find a way to mount it because it is sort of light on it's feet, but I attached something to end and then can hold this. lol Sounds silly I know but sometimes it's just so much better to have a helping hand instead of holding it yourself. It also nice to be able to walk away from a paint job on a model without worrying about messing it up.

I find this too small and flimsy. It tips over easily while in use. The alligator clips are too sharp. Leaving marks on what I was working on. And the magnifying mirror is just in the way.

I'm glad I didn't spend a lot, because this is one tool that will find its new home at the bottom of the junk draw.

Radio Flyer Ultimate Family WagonTM

Radio Flyer Ultimate Family WagonTMWe got this for her 1st birthday and she absolutely loves riding around in it. The 5-way flip seat is a great idea, and useful for organizing/toting things around. The seatbelts are easy to adjust. The canopy is really useful for the bright/hot days here in LV (of course it doesn't shade at an angle so you have to be conscientious of that) It was VERY easy to assemble it's usually my husband's job to put stuff together but it was so simple and fast that I just did it myself. The turning is REALLY great, no tipping, easy steering, don't have to keep backing up/adjusting for narrow turns. The only reason I gave it 4 vs 5 stars are the wheels they're cheap plastic. For the price they could've made the wheels out of rubber. We also have Radio Flyer's Discovery Wagon the wheels on that are rubber, and really make for a more comfortable ride and better traction.

I probably, okay i DID, go overboard on buying such a monster huge wagon. On second thought I'd have bought a Radio Flyer Pathfinder with the cute door that opens and closes.I chose this because well you can never have too much space and because the pathfinder DIDN'T have safety belts. Stupid, idealistic me ignored the fact that my son can escape from ANY belt or strap made by humans. I can't fit in my empty Honda Accord trunk. We only take it when we take my husband's Nissan Pathfinder. It's huge but like a HUMVEE Limo for my son. Radio Flyer puts "drain" holes in the bottom so you can leave it out. I joke that if I could plug up the holes, I'd fill the main area up with water and let my son splash in his limo jacuzzi when we take walks around the neighborhood and my 9 year old nephew loves to come over anduse it as a "bobsled" down the hill in my big backyard (big as a football field). It can easily be pulled by my 20 month old son (engineering and parts are fantastic) and when we go to the theme park (weekly basis since we have season passes), my son and his 9 year old cousin love to sit in there and be pulled. The canopy is a godsend for sunny sunny SUNNY florida. It can haul anything. We fold the seats down and sneak in bottles of water since it's [..] at the theme park and carry all of my son's diapers, towels, and clothing changes for the water park. Other than that, it mostly stays at home for walks. Make sure to have a good place to store this. No space in our garage and since I like to keep it bug free and clean, it stays hidden under our dining table.

Buy Radio Flyer Ultimate Family WagonTM Now

This wagon is built well and is spacious...actually too large to maneuver well in crowded areas. The canopy is a bit tricky to install. The wagon itself is easy to assemble, but the fact that it cannot be dismantled (other than removing the canopy) presents a problem in trying to take it anywhere in a mid-sized vehicle. It would not fit in a trunk. One needs either an SUV or a vehicle wherein the back seats fold down...then you lose passenger seating.I wish we had downsized.Again, there is nothing wrong with the quality.I should have paid more attention to the overall measurements.

Read Best Reviews of Radio Flyer Ultimate Family WagonTM Here

Our two kids have the best time chatting and interacting with each other in this. They often fall off to sleep when we go on long walks. It folds easily and the canopy is the jewel in the crown. I wish I had bought it much earlier. Anyways , if you are still reading this and want to know what I would like different here.....its the wheels ! I wish they were the real tires which can be inflated with air. I think it would have made the ride even smooth on dirt roads. I mean if you are on paved surface, its no problem but I find us often taking the wagon to a semi dirt roads when outdoors. We've even taken this to camp on Angel Island. I considered going for the classic but the flat bed does not seem as fun as the folding seats on this one.

We wanted light weight, durable for camping or parades, big enough for a 3 and a 4 year old. This had it all!The canopy is adorable. The kids love it!

VTech - Paint and Learn Art Easel

VTech - Paint and Learn Art EaselMy son received this toy for his first birthday. We set it up and were shocked at the poor quality. The easel is very, very short (even though it has two height adjustments). It also tips over fairly easily. It wouldn't tip over so easily if the string that attaches the "paint brush" to the easel was a little longer. The string is so short that it's nearly impossible to maneuver the paintbrush and touch the colors and shapes. Once we were finally able to do so, we were very disappointed when we discovered that something else was wrong. When we touched the paintbrush to the number 2 it would say 3, and when we touched it to the green it would say yellow. It's a major problem when an educational toy is teaching your child the wrong thing, so we returned it. I recommend you spend your money on something else.

The picture given is the amazon page is slightly different from how it looks actually. I think this is due to Vtech constantly improving their toys. My one year old got this as a gift. She loves it. she keeps spinning the spinner and plays with the pen a lot.

Also this toy has a lot of potential to carry the interest up to 3 or 4 years. It has music and lights, piano, 1 learning card. One side teaches numbers, the other side teaches letters. When you do not use the card, it has shapes by default. My daughter has not explored even 50% of this toy. So she is going to have even more fun playing and learning with it in the coming months..

Last thing to add, it works perfectly (unlike what other reviewer said). It does not tip over easily unless you push it down.

Buy VTech - Paint and Learn Art Easel Now

My then 9 month old got this toy for Christmas. I had to have this for her because it looked like so much fun. I admit that I expected a little more from this toy, but I still really like it. It is set up like an easel, and has an interactive page that "clips" onto the easel. It teaches letters A-E, colors, etc.

There is a "paintbrush" that is used for touching the different colors, etc. to hear the talking and singing based on that particular item. It is a cute toy. I wish my baby liked it a little more, though. It does seem to be a durable toy, as she likes to bang the paintbrush against the easel repeatedly, especially when mad. I do like this toy, the only thing I wish it had is more letters and numbers to learn. I also bought this for a cousin, and plan to buy one for my nephew, so I do recommend it!

Read Best Reviews of VTech - Paint and Learn Art Easel Here

I have not had the same issues as the other reviewer of this product. My son is 17 months and seems to like this toy quite a bit. He is not able to interchange the easle pages on his own yet though. He also quickly learned that you don't need to use the wand to make the toy work.

The animals used to represent the ABC's are strange in my opinion. For "A" they use Ant, "C"caterpillar, "D" dragonfly. The only animal my son recognizes is the "B"Bee. I think Cat and Dog would be more appropriate for this age group. Nonetheless, this toy been a source of entertainment for my son. If you can find it on sale, I would recommend this toy.

Dollhouse Miniature Tabletop Turntable

Dollhouse Miniature Tabletop TurntableI recently spent two months making a victorian dollhouse for my granddaughter. It was quite a project and something that my granddaughter can pass along to her daughters. It is heavy and quite large since it was made with wood and 850 shingles. In order for my granddaughter to actually play with the doll house, I needed something to turn it easily so that she could have access to both sides. The turntable works beautifully and turns easily. The dollhouse and turn table can be ordered on line at: . Amazon was my link to the dollhouse, dollhouse furniture and of course, the turntable.Thank you and I hope you get as much fun out of this type of project as I did.

8 In 1 Crayon

8 In 1 CrayonWe bought this for our 5 year old grand daughter to take in the car or into a restaurant. Much easier to bring and use than a box of crayons. She totally loves it and found it very easy to switch colors. We have bought a couple of extras to have on hand!Highly recommend!

Loved the concept, my daughter was thrilled, but it broke after a couple weeks. She is a mature 4, but this may work better for someone who can see and understand the mechanics of switching colors, I think she tried to force a switch when things weren't properly aligned.

This looked like a creative product online, but once it arrived, I noticed it looked very cheaply made. I purchased it for my 4-year old son for Christmas because he likes to watch his dad shave. However, as soon as he started using the shaving foam, it made his skin break out and we had to throw it away. The little mirror seems silly because my son likes using a bigger mirror better. So really all we use from this whole kit is the pretend razor. It wasn't worth the money.

3 Section Sand & Water Table

3 Section Sand & Water TableMy kids (2 and 3 years old) love this sand table! The three sections provide separate space for each of them to play in, andits just the right height for them. I like how there's a drain hole for water in one section, a solid section for sand, and another section that's shallow. The shallow section kind of threw me off at first, but it turns out to be a great place to pile toys on or "drive" cars over. The reason I rated it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the plug for the water section leaks.

Fisher-Price Servin' Surprises Ice Cream Party Set

Fisher-Price Servin' Surprises Ice Cream Party SetWe received this set as part of a party a couple months ago. Out of all the sets that go with the Serve N Surprises kitchen, I would have to say that this one is our/our three year old's favorite. She loves to share the ice cream with mommy and daddy and has a lot of fun mixing the colors and flavors of ice cream. Yes, you will be chasing the parts to this toy to keep them all together, but it is well worth the little bit of trouble that can be. We have cut down on this by designating a bin for all of the accessories to the table that don't fit in the middle part. The set is easy to assemble and has a variety of flavors and toppings for ice cream. The little scoop makes a click sound when you want to change out the flavors. Just saying, but that part doesn't really get used very often. I think it is a little to difficult for her to put her hands around still. It is great practice though. I want to say there are 6 ice cream flavors, 4 toppings, and three cones. I could be wrong on those numbers, but like I said, it can be a little hard to keep a good count on those! Overall, I would say that if you were going to choose one or two sets to go with the Serve N Surprises Kitchen Table, that this one should be one to get.

My daughter got this for her fourth birthday and loves it.She is four so she easily can use the scoop which works very nicely. The pieces are big enough that they are not a choking hazard for her
