I was given a Shining Stars Frog, and thought it would be wonderful to name a star after my son, who is in Heaven.However, when I went to the website "" to choose a star and give it my son's name, all I got was a screen stating that Russ Berrie had filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, and the website was no longer available.I cannot imagine the disappointment of children who are given this adorable frog, thinking they can name a star after themselves.As for myself, I couldn't be more disappointed I had pictured myself looking up at the stars at night, knowing that one of them had my son's name.

I can't lie, the stand-mixer tickles me to no great end, I love it.And aside from needing a little browning on the bread, the toaster's a nifty little geegaw too.My only complaint is the cookie cutter.Apparently no one botehred to look at a real one because the thing is backwards.Either that or Barbie's taking the extra step of rolling out the dough, cutting it with the cutter, and flipping the dang cookie over onto the cookie sheet.Not that it matters, as the cookies are permanently melded to the sheet.Still, it's a good display bit along with everything else.

Legacy Young Artist's Folding Artist Table Set
I was hesitant to buy this table. We have limited space, so we need something that can be put away. This table seemed to fit our needs, but I wasn't sure if it would be worth the money or not. IT IS!We received it just before Christmas (wasn't expecting it to arrive until after) so, it became a gift. I can't tell you much about it's folding away, since my kids won't let me put it away they LOVE it. (ages 3 and 1)
The stools fold easily & support my weight. Only downfall (which would come with any folding item) my daughter pinched her arm while carrying one of the stools:-(
Anyway would certainly recommend to a friend, just be cautious of pinching. Glad we spent the money when we did.

We bought this set for our daughter's 3rd birthday party since her little table she normally sits at only has two chairs.There was no way we could seat 6 kids at our dinner table and since her birthday is in December we couldn't do it outside.
It worked perfectly!The stools are essentially folding step stools (which we also pulled up a black one that we have in the bathroom as an extra seat) but the folding table is really the key.It's so nice that the whole thing folds up so nicely (not necessarily easily but nicely) and we can stow it away in the basement.
My sister-in-law has a similar set Children's Folding Table & Folding Chairs Furniture Setthat she bought last Christmas for her kids and I think this one is far better quality.On the one she bought, the vinyl (or whatever material that is) on the table top starting to come off after a while.Now, she has three kids and I only have one, and hers got a lot more use, but this thing is pretty indestructible.

I wish these Legos existed when my daughters were younger I would have bought these over Polly Pockets in a heart beat! What you need to know:
1. These are fully compatible with all other Lego sets.
2. The colors are customized for girls, especially the girly-girls or princess girls.
3. The people are different than normal Lego people in that the legs are connected and bend just below the hip, the heads are shaped more rounded than the normal Lego head, and the arems are more slender with hands that are not rotatable or or changeable.
4. This set is basically a single person and a few Lego pieces that can make a bakery for your Lego Friends city.
This is a great set for those of us who have girls and want to get something more creative and customizable than most girl toys. Highly recommended.
Little Tikes Sand and Sea Play Table
My 2 toddlers played a lot with this table last summer, and probably will again this spring/summer.Surprisingly the sand side was more of a hit than the water side.Be forewarned that their favorite activity was dumping sand from the table to the ground despite my frequent demands to the contrary.If we weren't in a rental, an actual ground level sandbox would be better...After one season outside, the umbrella looked pretty dirty, though cleaned up nicely with bleach.
The table was simple to put together with one exception.There are screws to hold the legs to the table, but you can't screw through the hard plastic.I had to hammer them in, plus the box was missing one, so I had to order a replacement.

First the Cons: Installation was not easy but it was not hard either. I needed a drill and a screw driver. The lids could have been a little sturdier. The Water plug does not drain all the water.
Now the Pros: My Son absolutely loves playing in it. He is 19 months and it is a hit on play dates. I can't keep the sand and the water sections open at the same time as the sand will end up in the water and vice versa. Bottom line is that it keeps him occupied and interested and he loves it.

We got this for my daughter's second birthday and it's a huge hit! I like every single thing about it and more importantly, she does! The only thing keeping me from giving it a 5 star review is that there are no screw holes to attach the legs, you have to screw through the plastic and that took forever! Either use a power drill or plan to spend a long time (they're long screws) putting the legs on! Aside from that, it survived quite abit of rough housing at her birthday from all the kids and took it like a champ! We have ours on our patio and it's not too big and bulky and yet 5 kids (little kidstoddlers and preschoolers) played with it at the same time! I would also note that it's pretty short. I think I worked out why some people had so much trouble with assembly and for some it was a breeze. Firstly, it's true what others have already said, that you should use a drill screwdriver. In addition, it is important to situate the legs correctly before screwing them in. You could easily put them in 90 degrees out of rotation, and have more trouble and much less stability. Make sure the smooth bumps on the legs face towards the screws. This means that the more dimpled bumps are the ones where the screws will go in. There is a smaller indented area within the indent, and when the screws go in there they will cinch correctly. In our unit, if the legs were in right, the tiny little hole (further up the leg) was facing the other leg (from the same side of the table).Our toddler twins love this toy and played with it for hours. So far we just put water in both sides. Soon I will add sand to one side and I'm sure the fun will continue and possibly also increase (hard to picture though, they are really enjoying this).
I highly recommend this toy.

My little man loves his Thomas bed. He's been sleeping in it everynight. When he arrived home from daycare I had the bed set up and ready for him. When he seen it, he jumped up and down, kissed and hugged the Thomas face.It was a wonderful and happy sight to see.I did my reading on the bed and read alot of reviews for the bed and noticed that the only complaints from customers who brought the bed, was that they wished it had or came with some kind of support for the mattress. A few people suggest buying some type of plywood for support.However, if your baby had a crib already, all you needed to do was to break down the crib and use the spring support that helped hold up the crib mattress, since the bed uses a standard crib mattress. I purchased this dresser as a stop gap solution since I just moved into a new home.For $60, you get a reasonable quality dresser. South of Ikea quality, but not laughable.
That is, of course, if you receive all the appropriate pieces. The unit I received had an extra drawer left side, but one too few right sides. No problem, right? South Shore says they will ship you replacement parts free of charge.
So three weeks and several phone calls later, I received my replacement part: The backing plate to an entirely different dresser.
I've submitted another request for parts and I patiently await their response. Based on my interaction so far, I expect to receive a tea kettle, several rubber bands, and the Best of Earth, Wind and Fire on vinyl.

I read all the other reviews AFTER I bought the unit and I was expecting some smelly thing to arrive and stink up my house.I did smell something that I could best describe as a "new dresser" smell, but it was not bad and the very next day I did't smell anything at all.That being said, let's get to the building process.I got the drawers put together with no problem at all, but when it came to building the frame, that's where I ran into problems. I don't think it is because of the item itself, because the instructions are pretty clear and it all goes together kind of the same way the junk you get from Ikea does. My problem came in trying to put the bottom together and I was doing it alone, so when I got one side together and tried to attach the other side, it fell apart and broke. I am going to contact the manufacturer and see if they will replace the broken piece.The next problem arose as I got the whole thing together (finally) and tried to put the drawers in.You have to precisely get the plastic piece on the drawers to fit into the plastic pieces on the frame.On each drawer I was able to get one side in but not the other and it took me like a half hour just to get the drawers to go in correctly. I will admit that I have a bad back and my vision is not so great, so again, the problem may have been me and not the unit. After it was all done I stepped back and looked at it and marveled over what a cheap piece of junk it was.But at the end of the day, it fit perfectly in the space I had bought it for (I bought it to fit inside of my son's closet to store his underwear and socks) and the drawers open and close ok.I am not confident that it will last long, and I may have to buy another unit in the future, but this one will do for now and at the very least, it proved that my idea to put a small drawer unit into the closet instead of taking up floor space in the room was one hell of a great idea.The closet looks neat, it is functional and it will hopefully help my son not throw his clothes all over the floor.All in all, if you can get it together without breaking it, you will probably enjoy it for as long as it lasts, which may not be long...but we will see, won't we?Read Best Reviews of South Shore Libra Collection 3-Drawer Chest, Black Here

Let me just say that I knew I wasn't purchasing a high quality dresser when I bought this. I wanted something small, attractive and relatively sturdy.
I got what I wanted. I have now had this dresser for a two yearsand it is still in great condition. It took us about 30 minutes? if that to put it together. The directions were very clear and it came with all the pieces we needed.
Great for a child's bedroom.
ONE tiny complaint. Due to the material, it is easy to see finger prints. Luckily for us, it sits in an area of the room that doesn't get significant light... so this isn't really a problem for us.

I have compared details as best as I am able, and I appear to have a toy that may be an early generation of this toy. The joints, coloring, and posture appear to be identical, but mine lacks the speaker in the chest, and has no sound effects. As far as the walking goes... I've never been so shocked by a toy. Mine was manufactured in 1993... to that makes it 18 YEARS OLD, and it is STILL FUNCTIONING PERFECTLY. Every leg works, it still has the springy joint connections that prevent damage if a joint is forced to move wrong. As far as the engineering goes, I'm amazed. I build robots as a hobby, which is why I bought this toy... I am UTTERLY DUMBFOUNDED by how smooth the walking action is. Though the screen printing on the fetlocks is wearing and scratched, and there are scuffs and stains on the toy, and the doll and accessories were long since lost, this toy horse stands the test of time as the most amazing toy I have seen in my life! In terms of longevity and durability, technical and mechanical impressiveness, and the plain and simple "cool factor", this toy wins top marks in my book. This toy horse is at least 20% cooler than any electronic or mechanical toy I've ever come across!I certainly hope the newer versions of this toy are as well built and are as impressive.
The engineer in me want to disassemble this toy so bad and see how it works!!! :D

Star Wars X-Wing: TIE Advanced Expansion Pack
This is a very nice addition to a fun game. You can play a few simple and worthwhile games with the core set, but if you want to get the most variety out of the game you'll need at least a few expansions (though many fans of the game like myself actually buy quite multiple copies of the starter set and most expansions). I highly recommend this TIE Advanced X1 expansion for reasons outlined below.The TIE Advanced X1 adds a ship and four pilots that are NOT included in the core set. Pilots include Darth Vader (unique), Maarek Stele (unique), Tempest Squadron Pilot (generic), and Storm Squadron Pilot (generic).
Darth Vader is the highest skill pilot for the Imperials (level 9). His special ability reads, "During your "Perform Action" step, you may perform 2 actions."
Maarek Stele is a level 7 pilot, who also has a special ability that reads, "When your attack deals a face up Damage card to the defender, instead draw 3 Damage cards, choose 1 to deal, and discard the others."
Another nice thing about the TIE Advanced X1 is that it has 2 shields in addition to the typical three hull (making it harder to kill than a TIE Fighter).
It also includes several upgrade cards. Most (but not all) of these upgrade cards are unique to this expansion, but a few of them can be found in the core set or other expansions. Upgrade cards include Expert Handling, Marksmanship, Squad Leader, Swarm Tactic, Cluster Missiles, and Concussion Missiles.
The expansion also includes all tokens, dials, etc. that you need to use this ship in a game.
All the ships look great. Some (like the X-Wing) are more fragile than others. I've played about a dozen games and haven't had any problems with any ship breaking so far. The TIE Advanced X1 seems a bit more durable than the rest given it's design. I am not rough with the ships, but I am not overly careful with them either (except perhaps when storing them).

Having Vader is great in itself. The miniature is beautifully painted and crafted, and there's nothing like flying Vader with his wingmen (Mauler and Backstabber, I believe, though you'll need the TIE Fighter expansion for Backstabber) against a Rebel team, hopefully with Luke on it.
If you bought the X-Wing Core Set, you're going to need more ships to make it feel like you're playing the full game, and Vader is a great place to start.

Da Vinci Children's Art Desk White Steel Frame, Wood Top and Seat
This is an terrific product good looking, made of solid materials and designed to grow with your child. All that at a great price. My 6-year-old son loves it for art projects and schoolwork. It was a terrific addition to our family room. Be forewarned, however, that the assembly process is no fun. Some of the pre-drilled holes were misaligned, and the instructions were not at all clear.
Pros:
The desk is adjustable for height and surface angle. The chair is adjustable for height. The laminated surface is reasonably durable unless your child tries writing on it with a ballpen. There is a round holder that can be used for a plastic cup filled with pencils and pens. There is also a holder for a single pen. A stopper at the closest end of the working surface prevents books and papers from sliding down. The edge of the desk is trimmed with rubber.
Cons:
It was not low enough for my 5-year old, but my son is growing up fast, so currently he does not need a foot-step anymore. The seating surface of the chair is too deep, so the back is too far from my son when he sits upright, I attached a soft pillow to the seat back.
The horizontal and the angled portions of the desk are connected with a piece of rubber, not with a metal hinge, so potentially this construction is not very robust. On another hand, you would not be adjusting the desk for angle very often, because it is quite hard to do, a child cannot do it for sure, a parent must do it by literally hitting the surface from below to make it move. Not a biggie, but unlike the German product that can be adjusted by a child, this one cannot (depends on a child, of course).
Building it together was a bit complicated. You need to have basic tools like a screwdriver, a wrench and a hammer. Without using a hammer you will have hard time tightening the bolts with flat head used in the chair. Maybe you can use an electric drill with a socket, but I did not have it. The holes in the seating surface and the back of the seat are round, but the bolts have square necks to ensure they are sitting in the holes and not moving. Trying to tighten them without hammering them first into the holes proved unsuccessful, the bolts would rotate and not sit it the hole. Bottom line: you will need some strong hands to build together the chair. The desk itself can be put together almost effortlessly, save for couple of bolts with broken thread.
The desk surface was chipped on the reverse side, no one sees it from above, but this says enough about quality control and means of production. I did not bother replacing it, after all it does not affect the functionality.
Overall:
All it all, this is a decent desk and chair that can grow with your child. You just need to go through some frustration while you assemble it.

Alex Little Hands Paper Weaving
I'll admit I was a bit intimidated by paper weaving with a toddler, but my daughter took to it very well. Word to the wise, do only a few strips at a time, don't expect a child this young to finish one of these in one or two sittings.
Pros:
*4 fun pictures--cow, giraffe, birthday cake, and city
*Each picture is individually packaged with its weaving strips
*Good for fine motor skills
*Good for following picture instructions
Cons:
*The strips bend easily, since they're paper. And once they bend, they're a little harder to use. You could laminate them to make them sturdier if they want to do it over and over again. Actually, laminating the entire thing would be a good idea. Then cut the slits.
*The weaving strips could use some way to stay out of the way when you've put them in. The strips that only have a few holes to go through are very floppy at the back.

Whenever your opponent has a very, very strong creatures out on the battlefield, then all you have to do is simply play Pacifism! Pacifism comes very handy against milling, defensive, of somewhat in the middle types of decks. The price, shipping, and mana cost are all excellent for the card, and I highly suggest buying from Wizards of the Coast, they're great! Although the card is a of Common rarity, it is still very good for stopping those other devastating creatures that your pesky enemy controls!!!
