Gund Maxie Tan 19" Bear Plush

I was going to make my niece a bear, but saw this Gund bear and bought it. The eyes are extremely secure and the bear "fur" is silky. This bear is well made and soft without being a floppy blob. I also wanted a bear I could make clothes for, and this bear is perfect in its proportions. It's 19" high and has a 19" tummy. These proportions are perfect for overalls and dresses with an empire waist. I can use doll clothes patterns for 18" dolls and adjust the patterns to a "Bear-plus" size, remembering that a bear doesn't have a neck. The Amazon truck came to our house today, and my husband answered the door.As he was opening the box he said,"This must be the bear because the box is so light." I said, "This can't be the bear. I just ordered it last night!"
Yes, it was this Gund bear, and I had to test out this bear's huggability. I said, "He is adorable!" and my husband said, "Either your niece isn't going to get this bear or you had better buy a bear for yourself." I will be ordering another bear tonight.Really cute and so soft!I'm really happy with my purchase.Would definitely recommend to others.Great for a collection or as a gift for a teddy bear lover of any age.Wow what a great looking teddy bear. Nice and soft. Great product. I definitely agree with the ad. Gotta get a Gund!
Kidkraft Avalon Kids Desk with Hutch
I love this desk.We bought it for our 7 year old daughter and it fits her perfectly.I did think it was going to be a bit taller but it will fit her for a few years.Assembly was easy. The desk does come with chair in the same box so don't order the "better together" combo because you will then have two chairs and they will charge you to return it.I searched high and low and this is the best deal.

This desk is definitely worth the money. My daughter wanted a white desk with a hutch and had picked out many overnot including the chair.I ordered this one without her knowing and at first she was upset because the hutch is not that big.But once it was assembled she loves it.She is 8 and loves the little cubbies in the hutch.Everything is packaged nicely and there was not one scratch or ding or funny smells. The hardware had everything you needed (no extras) in separate baggies for the chair and desk.I put it together myself in about 1 hour.We did replace the knob with a blue glass knob from the hardware store just to make it a little more unique I guess and it looks great. With free supersaver shipping and no sales tax, there is no better buy out there.Trust me, I have looked!

We really like these lap desks and especially for the $10 price.Came with the color wonder paper and markers which can be expensive by themselves. We do a Bible lesson each night at bedtime and the kids lay on the floor and write and color using their lapdesks.we've also taken them on car trips and they work well for that also.we're very pleased with this product!Read Best Reviews of Crayola Color Wonder Lap Desk Here
We keep this in our car for longer car trips (which happen quite frequently) for our 3 year old. She LOVES it. It then goes from car-hotel room and she doesn't even loose the markers since it has the zip compartment.Want Crayola Color Wonder Lap Desk Discount?
My Granddaughter is pretty quick to learn, so I thought this would be a great way to keep her occupied in the car. Nope!
First of all, the paper used with this lap pad is extremely expensive for a toddler who just scribbles. It doesn't stick at all well to the pad, so all in all it isn't a great deal. She also doesn't really like the "mess free" crayolas. The colors don't "come up" right away and she is too little to understand why and doesn't want to wait. She does like the zipper compartment that holds the special paper and pens.
One great point: These crayola pens are easy to wash out if the child gets them on clothes, furniture, etc. They do what they are advertise!!!!!
I should have waited until she was older.
MindWare Qwirkle Cubes
Setting aside the fact that Qwirkle (the tile version) has won the Major Fun Keeper Award, and resisting any attempt to compare Mindware's Qwirkle (the tile version) to Mindware's Qwirkle Cubes (the dice version), let us proceed as if there were no precedent, and treat Qwirkle Cubes for the unique game it really is. O, sure, we could compare. We could even contrast. But we shall set these temptations aside, for the nonce, at least.
Qwirkle Cubes comes in a Qwirkle Cubes box that is cleverly cube-like. Open the cleverly cube-like box and you find a sturdy cloth drawstring bag, under which are packaged 90 wooden cubes. You release the cubes from their plastic wrappedness, allowing them to cascade onto the table and make a pleasingly muted woodish sound. You fondle them, because they, in their lovingly polished one-inch, wooden, dice-like way, almost beg you to do so. You roll them, observing how each die has a different shape on each face, all of the same color. And, further, how there are six different colors of dice. And then you place all 90 of these smoothly finished colorful cubes into the bag, as instructed.
You are now ready to play. So you, and another, or perhaps 2 or 3 others, take turns extracting 6 dice from the bag. You place those dice in front of you. Perhaps you give them one more roll, just to celebrate the randomness of it all. And so the game begins.
You all look at your dice. Do you notice perhaps a pattern? Are some of your dice of the same color, and each of those dice showing a different shape? Are more of your dice all showing the same shape, and each a different color? Whoever has the longest of either of the aforementioned goes first.
From then on, you take turns, adding to the grid in crossword-fashion, gathering points for the number of dice you place, and for any adjacent rows or columns of dice you add your dice to, garnering yet 6 more points should you complete a row or column of same-color, different shape symbols. One might be tempted to compare it to something a game of rummy played Scrabble®-fashion. Ah, so simple, so easy to learn, and yet, so rife with strategic significance and tactical titillation.
Before you take your turn, you may, if you so desire, re-roll any or all of your dice. And herein lies the wrinkle of conceptual delight that, dare we compare, is new, even to those who play Qwirkle (the tile game). You see, everyone can see what everyone has. Unlike that other Qwirkle game to which we are not referring, there is nothing hidden. But that very openness is thought-provoking, to say the least. Now that you can see the other players' hands, you have everso much more to analyze. And, in being able to re-roll your dice, you find yourself with the yet further thought-provoking opportunity to see what fate has so far hidden from you. A decision to make. A risk to take. True, you can do nothing about the color of the symbols. But equally true, with the re-rolling option, you might be able to change the shape. So you ponder, and roll, and combine, and add to the ever-unfolding matrix (which is conveniently less table-top-consuming than the matrix that ever-unfolds when playing Qwirkle (the tile game).
The more you play, the deeper your appreciation for the strategic implications of playing with dice, and the clearer it becomes to you that Qwirkle Cubes (the dice game) really can't be compared to Qwirkle (the tile game), even though the colors and shapes and rules for matching and the designer (Susan McKinley Ross) are the same. If you already own one, you will probably want the other, not because it's better or more portable or cuter, but because it's unique, and it's uniquely fun. The symmetry of both versions (6 colors, 6 shapes), the visual, conceptual puzzles they both present make both games endlessly fascinating. The dice really make a difference. And so do the tiles. If you own neither, you should consider buying either. Or both. For kids (probably at least 8 years old). For adults. For families. Maybe 10 minutes to learn. Maybe 30 minutes to play. Fun that makes you think. Fun that even, from time to time, makes you laugh. Fun, most satisfyingly Major FUN.
In fact, we find the FUN so Major that we have come to play more for the glory than the score. Just making some spectacular play, using all the dice on one turn, completing a row and adding on to two or even three more all at the same time is so wonderfully satisfying that winning, dare I say it, seems almost besides the point.

This is an excellent mind exercise "game".Although 4 could play, it's probably better with 2 since that provides an opportunity for more defensive strategy. At the same time, it could easily become an intergenerational activity since all you have to be able to do is recognize colors and shapes.Read Best Reviews of MindWare Qwirkle Cubes Here
Ok, I'll try to keep this short.Quirkle is a great game.I like Quirkle Cubes more. It's more enjoyable to just re-roll than have to throw everything back in the bag and redraw new pieces.I had difficulty rating this game, because I really do like the game, but not the way it was made.Wood is a fine material for many things, but it makes washing a board game difficult and can damage it.So, wood games appear to wear out faster for me, even though I make everyone wash their hands before playing them.I wish they'd used the same material used to make regular dice. Also, while I get that the box is made to look like a cube, it just makes it harder to store with my other games and transport to board game clubs. It's always the odd duck that doesn't fit and I have to put it on top of everything else.
All that being said, I could still give this game a 4/5 if it weren't for the decals they put on the cubes.Instead of using etchings, stickers, durable paint, or any number of options that would last a long time, they chose decals. After one game (and not washing or even wiping the cubes) I've already had decals peal away.As a result, it's difficult to tell what the symbols are.
I've decided that while I like the game, I don't like the materials so much that I'm not going to play the game with the cubes they provide.I'm going to buy a bunch of black dice with white pips and color 15 of each in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. Then I'll play the game with colored dice using pips and colors instead of shapes and colors. It's worth the extra durability to me.I can also buy 100 black dice for less than the cost of the game. But, it's not a total loss.I have the printed instructions from the game.
I wish they'd thought out the materials they used more or just done some simple durability tests. When I can make something cheaper and more durable at home that works just as well, I feel cheated by companies.
If you buy the game, I recommend using a sealer to protect the decals before playing the game. It's a lot of extra work, but otherwise the game will wear out very quickly. This is a great game.We bought regular Qwirkle last year, and played it more than any other game.Qwirkle cube is equally good ... perhaps better, and a nice change of pace from regular Qwirkle.About the only other game we like better is Carcassonne Hunters and Gatherers. It's great with only 2 people or up to 4 people. My wife and I play it alone or with our 8 and 10 year old daughters. It's good because the game goes fast and you don't have to sit bored waiting for your turn as in some games. It is also aesthetically pleasing. There is a decent blend of strategy and luck (more of the former I think).

UP DATE:
The frame of the cart has slowly deformed, bowing out so that now the drawers drop out of the slides. For this, I would lower my rating to only three stars if I could.
I am also going to try to bring the frame back to true and will update the review with my progress.
Original Review:
I bought this organizer cart to organize the family legos (we have about 50 pounds of legos). This cart is working perfectly for its purpose. That is why I have given it 4 stars. Below is a more detailed review.
Looks I like the way it looks, very neat. A lot more attractive then the all-plastic drawer units from Sterilite.
Efficiency love it. This unit packs a lot of storage into a very small footprint.
Quality pretty good for $100 dollars, but this is not a piece of heirloom furniture.
Not hard to put together. Everything fits, the drawers slide easily and are designed with a "stop" so that when you are putting them back you can't accidentally push them all the way through the frame. I have loaded the drawers with Lego bricks and small toys, like matchbox cars, and so far no problems.
In comparison, I have a similar piece from Ikea with plastic boxes as drawers and a wood frame (Trofast). In the Ikea piece if you put anything with any real weight into the drawers, for instance, the matchbox cars, they deform slightly and pop out of the wooden frame, and then twist and bind. Very frustrating for my little boy.
On the other hand, the cart is quite lightly built. It won't take a lot of abuse and does not really give you a work surface. The frame is made of very thin steel pipes, screwed together, and the steel top is also very lightweight -it is perforated, for some reason, too. So don't plan on putting a microwave on this thing. I have used it to assemble a lego model -that it can handle, but not much more. I don't expect it to last a lifetime, either. The frame is not braced in any way and I expect it will begin to "rack" after a couple of years. I would not plan on putting heavy items in this cart and then rolling it around a lot.
In short, whether or not I would recommend this piece depends entirely on what you are planning to store in it and how muchyou are planning to move it around. If you are looking for a kitchen cart that can take a lot of weight and a lot of abuse, this is not the piece for you. If you are trying to put away a large quantity of relatively light-weight craft items or toys, this unit is hard to beat for making efficient use of a small space.

I purchased this to use in my classroom for math manipulatives. It has worked fine, but the drawers are difficult for my 4th graders to use.We remove the drawers during math time. When kids go to put them back in the tracks, they have some difficulty placing them in.It is also a bit unstable.Ihave had to tighten the bolts a few times in the two weeks that I had it before summer vacation.I hope it lasts longer than a few years because the cost was a bit high.It would be great for a home storage solution, rather than at a school where it gets high usage.I bought two for my kids' art supplies, I am in love with them, I am buying another one for my son's Legos. Very easy to assemble!I have this next to my computer desk and use it to store medicine, make-up, hair brushes, stamps, warranties, CDs, chocolate, cat treats, curtain ties, screwdrivers, photographs, etc. It is rather lightweight, and I would probably break it if I sat on it, but I have chairs so everything is going to be OK. It was easy to put together and the rainbow colors are fun.

SE Magnifier/Third Hand
- Set and hold your work at any angle
- Great for hobbies, precison soldering or electronics work
- Magnifying glass for close inspection work
Not much to this really, just a stand with two (tight) alligator clips and a magnifying glass on a relatively heavy base. The problem is pretty much every piece of this stand pivots. This is good one hand that you can adjust everything, but bad because really even tightened all the way, some joints may pivot without you wanting them to, thereby causing the stand to fall over.
The stand would have been perfect if the main bar had some way of locking into place, but even so it's 5 bucks, I can't complain much.

The Helping Hands/ Magnifying glass is a big help when trying to hold something small--like jewelry--and work on it.I modified mine a bit by moving one of the arms so that instead of the magnifying glass being in the middle, it's on the end.Since everything can be slid around, the magnifying glass can still be over what I'm working on, and I have the 'hands' close enough together to hold smaller things.I also put a strip of electrical tape around the clips to put a little protection between them and what I'm holding, so there's no risk of scratching what I'm working on. The base is surprisingly heavy so I can use it for anything small enough to fit on there and balance. The one other thingit could use is a light--to me that would give it a 5 out of 5 rating. It was very inexpensive, and worth way more than it cost.I'm very pleased with the purchase and will recommend it to my friends.

I need to find a way to mount it because it is sort of light on it's feet, but I attached something to end and then can hold this. lol Sounds silly I know but sometimes it's just so much better to have a helping hand instead of holding it yourself. It also nice to be able to walk away from a paint job on a model without worrying about messing it up.I find this too small and flimsy. It tips over easily while in use. The alligator clips are too sharp. Leaving marks on what I was working on. And the magnifying mirror is just in the way.I'm glad I didn't spend a lot, because this is one tool that will find its new home at the bottom of the junk draw.

I decided to search around a bit and found this table and chairs set.I have order a few other table sets from amazon with horrible disappointment (One even broke in the first day) so I was a bit hesitent at first but let me tell you I could not be happier! This little table and chair set is adorable and the quality is honestly very close to something I would have purchased from PBK or another high quality manufacturer.I give this table and chairs an A+++ it's adorable, well made and the perfect height for any kid 2-5 yrs old.

The fact that this is not on the floor or on a table is brilliant in regards to space saving.
Assembling it wasn't as easy I would have hoped but not impossible. When it expands, its a bit loud.
My nephew loves it, and it's endured quite a bit of hard play. The clamp is highly adjustable, but will not work on a table that has a lip under the top like our kitchen tables. We used a bookcase (very large, more of a room divider) and it's perfect.excellent product very good for the age of children seeking to discover new things and work seems a very educational toy
VTech - Winnie the Pooh - Explore and Learn Table
We got this table during the recent toy sale (or error, lol) for about $5. It was *very* well worth that, and more, I'm sure. I don't know if it's worth the $45 price they have on it at the moment. It is really cute, has lots of little buttons to press, and other things, like sliders, spinners, etc... I don't know why, but I think I was expecting it to be a bit bigger, but thinking about it, it's actually the right size for a little one. It was quick and easy to put together. If you can get it when it's on sale, I'd definitely say go for it...

Even once your turn it back on its hit or miss wether or not it will work the way it should. I agree with the people who had had problems with the slippery feet, it moves all over the place which was a bit frightening when my daughter was first pulling herself up on things and it would slide out from under her! Its too bad they didn't think through a flaw that would be so easily fixed!

Although the design is cute and the songs not too annoying, I think there's something to be said about this toy getting a little repetetive. The big problem we had was the fact that the legs were slippery, on carpet, on wood, you name it.It made it hard for our 9 month old to get up at first, and once she was up, it would slide around on her, acting more like a walker than an activity center.

I'm sorry that I'm laughing reading all these reviews. Amazon needs to change the description so that it is clear that this vanity is for Disney's My First Princess Toddler Dolls, not a child, and not Barbie's.If you buy it and use it the way it was intended, it's a great toy. It says 3+ years and up because that is who is approved to play with it, not sit on it. Video games say 10+ and that doesn't mean it will fit a ten year old inside, lol!Want Tangled Rapunzel Light Up And Sound Vanity (Closed Box) Discount?
I bought this at Christmas time for $35. Now I wasn't expecting anything amazing but I thought it was going to be a little more then it was.My daughter is 3 and this is too small for her (she's 42" tall). The seat is the biggest problem. To give you an idea of just how short it is, the entire height of the seat is only 6". The vanity itself is 31" high at the tallest point, with a 6" depth at the widest part of the vanity top.
They also spent a lot of time engineering this piece so they could use the least amount of plastic possible. It's filled with trusses to hold it up. The rigidity is fine but I find it hilarious they went to such extent to make it as cheap as possible especially when you consider the MSRP is supposed to be $70. I would have returned it immediately if I would have spent $70.
I almost returned it but it was too close to Christmas and I didn't have time to go get something else.
In conclusion, I would have to recommend buying something else due to the fact that your child is going to out grow this rather quickly if they are not already too big for it when it arrives.

I received this item within three days, even with the standard delivery.I would definitely reccommend this item.I bought this item as a Christmas gift for my granddaughter, and I am hoping when it is opened, everything is not damaged or missing. The package came in its original box.In addition to the box being damaged, it had scotch tape all over it, to hold it together, as it seemed that someone had taken it out of the box and put it back in.The box made the item look as though it was purchased at Goodwill.
Given the price of this item, I would think that the seller could have placed it inside a shipping carton to protect its contents.
I have been an Amazon.com customer for a long time and have never, before, received an item in such poor condition.I am going to contact Amazon to let them know about this.I would have, gladly, paid a few dollars more for better packaging,
Update:Called Amazon Customer Service and they arranged to have the old set picked up and replaced with a new set,The customer service rep was warm, concerned, and explained that someone, in the shipping department, most likely a new person, had packaged it incorrectly. The old set was picked up the next day, and the new one delivered the following day.Thank you Amazon.com, and the service rep, for taking care of this so quickly. It is a pleasure doing business with a reliable website that goes the extra mile to make sure its customers get the best products and care.
