I purchased these chairs for my preschool and they are probably too small for the 4-5 year olds but great for the younger ones. These were the cheapest chairs I could find online, maybe it was due to the size. Many other chairs cost about $30+ each which I think is ridiculous. I gave this item 4 stars bc some of the legs came scratched even though they were wrapped in plastic.
I bought this and 5 vehicles for my 3-yr-old.I was frustrated and disappointed with the quality of the flimsy cheap track and the way the track fits together.It just seems cheap (the track) and getting the track to store as it should underneath the lid is something a younger child will NOT master.(I even have to play around with the track a bit to get it to work so the lid/roof shuts!)Booo!Stick to the real stuff.

We have purchased over the years both the brio wooden thomas sets and now the take along sets.I must admit, my husband and I differ in opinion about them.I always leaned toward the brio and he the take along.I have to say, the price of the brio sets have been steadily climbing over the years and I just can't/won't justify the added expense (and it is a big difference by the way) of the brio sets when my boys (4 and 18 months) love the take alongs every bit as much as the expensive ones!My son loves to take the roundhouse along and I love that there is a place for all the trains.I also think some of the negative reviews are a bit unfair.We've saved a bundle with these sets and my kids love them.Thats good enough for me!
I love this toy!We have not had any problems with the wrong letters like the other reviews.Maybe they have made an improvement.My 3 year old just thinks it is a lot of fun, but Mommy love that he is learning so much.He sings the song with the train so he is learning all of this letter sounds.He is even learning vowels because whenever you put one the the train, he chimes in the leaps voice and says "vowel aboard"

We bought this for our son who just turned 2. He loves it, though he's not currently interested in some of the features; he basically just wants to listen to the music and sounds and watch it go around the track. My slightly lower rating for durability is based on "touchiness," not actual longevity of the product--the detachable car with frog characters comes off easily and the train gets off track somewhat easily. hey everybody....My 2 yr old received the phonics train for christmas and we set it up right away.Well out off the box the train did not function like it was suppose to, it was singing the wrong letter than the one that was showing and none of the blocks we responding correctly.I returned it and searched for another.we finally found one and brought it home.It only worked properly for about 30 hr then it began to do the same thing as the one we returned.I called Leap Frog customer service and filed a complaint, the agent told me the engineers would take a look at my complaint and if no one called me back in a month to call them back...Hello, I have a two yr old he wants instant results and a toy that he can play with..I took it back and opted for another toy..
I bought this toy for my grandchildren, ages 7 and 4.They were very interested -but the toy broke after about 5 minutes of play.The pendulum weight hit the metal support legs, and the ball chain that supports the weight broke.I can see no way to repair this failure.We improvised a pendulum with a piece of string and some miscellaneous hardware for a weight.The kids still enjoyed playing with the toy, and I guess you could say that the toy has educational value since they learned something about making do.But I did not feel that the toy was a good value, and I would not recommend it to others.
I adore this little percussion table, it definitely has the cute factor and my 14-month old loves to play with it (as well as his 3 year old brother).The only issue we have it that it does tip over easily if any weight is put on the table on either side of the cymbal.I am afraid he will climb on top and topple over, so I can't leave this out when I am not watching closely.I would love to see the manufacturer substitute 2 legs spread out on the back side instead of only 1 in the middle.Otherwise, it is a very nice toy and totally worth the price!

Initially thought it was a great gift. However, it broke within a couple hours of use. The "drum" part is actually a thin layer of plastic. My 1.5 year old daughter was drumming and it ripped right through. Do not buy this item.

I bought a couple of these (Over the Rainbow and Fur Elise) because they are pretty, substantial, cheap and fun.They are made of metal, but a few of the parts, including the music cylinder's hubs, are plastic.The sound is pure, but tiny.When you put it on a flat surface like a table top or window the sound is greatly amplified somewhat mysteriously.This miracle of sympathetic resonance is addictive and everyone in the immediate vicinity wanted to repeat the trick.I'll wager my kids will love this activity.The box includes mounting screws and the frame has screw holes so it's pretty clear you are meant to mount these.To me that strongly implies making a music box which sounds like a really fun project with the kids.I'm going to get some bass wood, cut it, make a sound port hole and a little hole for the crank, and use little nails or staples to make a box.I'll have the kids paint their boxes and then we will mount the mechanisms inside.I'll wager they'll make a sweet sound.

This little music box is great! It's pretty basic and not too flashy, but when you consider how inexpensive it is it's a great buy. The cool thing about it's simple design is that a child playing with it will get an understanding of how it works. Mine has been played with by a child who is rough on his toys for a couple of months now and is holding up pretty well. I don't remember how quickly it shipped, so I can't speak for that, but otherwise it was a great buy. I plan on getting a few more for a variety of songs, because it does get pretty old listening to the same song over and over.
It DOES interact with the TV, for example in the "animal abc" game, the animals only change when you hit a key. It is a little slow, and I am not sure my 1yr old is seeing the cause and effect either. The cause and effect she does see is when she pushes the buttons on the sensor!

This is a very fun, educational toy. I bought it for my granddaughter's 1st birthday and she has enjoyed it every day.
The overall size is pretty small, but OK for a coffee table-top game.Rolling balls/pucks work fine & game is playable (noticeable lip/bump in the center of board due to poor fit/alignment)-this is a very poorly made board.The two halves of the board do not align perfectly and there is no locking mechanism to keep them locked together--there are just two steel pins on one half of the board that align with holes in the other half--these holes will wear out or crack over time.The two steel pins that "align" the halves together are only about 1/4" long and about 1/8" diameter.It is too fragile to be set up on carpet (one step or heavy hand-lean and it would be snapped).It needs to be set up on a hard, flat/smooth surface like a table or hard floor.

My husband wanted a dartboard very badly, but we needed something safe to have around our baby. I was thrilled when I found a magnetic dartboard, but wary of how well it would work. The magnets are excellent and strong! We have this hanging in the living room and company loves to just grab a dart and toss it. It also is not too noisy when the darts hit the mat, just a dull thud. I bought this for my 9 and 6 yr old sons. The suction cups and rails to keep the puck inside the game area don't work well. The suction cups don't "suction" and the puck doesn't bounce off the walls that come with the deluxe set. The puck either messes up the boarders or it gets outside. It was very frustrating for my boys. The puck works great. Floats nicely on the wood floor. The strikers are nicely felted on the bottom. But without the boarders keeping the puck inside, most of the game is spent getting the wayward puck from across the room. If you have some kind of table that can keep the puck inside, then this would be fun. Otherwise, you might want to pass. I don't think my boys will be opening up this game again to play it. Sad.
We got this toy from 1saleaday.com. My 3 1/2 year old twins love it! We used it to teach them what time looks like and also how to wake up to an alarm. It's easy to set and they learned quickly how to click it off. They also play with regularly so it's VERY durable! The only negative I have towards it is that the wings come out easily, but they go in just as easily and the clock looks fine when they aren't in there.
