I was shopping for a friend when I found this toy. She likes penguins so I looked around to see what Amazon had to offer. This toy was so cute and adorable there was no doubt in my mind, I had to buy it. When I got it the feel of the toy was so soft and fluffy. And the color was blue which was great since blue is my friend's favorite color. I will say that the sound it makes is a bit odd and out of left field, but it doesn't take away from the toy. This item had a toxic petroleum smell. I let them set out in the open for over a week and they still had the smell. I bought them to put into Halloween partty bags but did not use them. I was afraid that these items would be potentially dangerous to children because of the smell. I threw the entire package away. Waste of money.These spiders were just what my grandson wanted.They are strong and brightly colored. He uses them with his Gorilla Mountain and hangs them all over it!

This toy is WAY too loud.There is no volume adjustment and the inside is all sealed up so there is no way to lower the volume with the usual "tricks".It is so loud that I seriously worry about my daughter having it so close to her head while it is playing!You could clearly hear this guy from many rooms away!He was a gift and will definitely be put away with the Christmas decorations because I think the excessive volume has to be bad for any Elmo hugging toddler.

We got this last week for our 15 month old. He is in love with it. I can't say enough about it's ability to entertain. It is sort of loud if Elmo isn't seated when he is singing, since the speaker is in Elmo's rear. But, when he isn't seated while singing, he looks like he is convulsing, and that is distressing to my son. So, we just sit Elmo back up and keep on singing.If you tire easily of jingle bells, don't get this. I enjoy it, and, if you watch the show, Elmo sings a "jingle bell" tuned song in every episode...

I am an amateur woodworker, and I would have built a table for my children but I didn't have time this year to do it. When I started looking around for a table to purchase, I was immediately struck by two realities: 1) most of these tables are completely overpriced, and 2) most of them are poorly constructed and made of cheap materials. As a person that works with wood, I know junk when I see it. Kids furniture should be safe and made to be durable. MDF, although a great material to work with for stuff around the home, doesn't bode well in this regard. It will become instantly ruined if wet, is difficult/impossible to repair if chipped -the same goes for other commonly used materials (particle board, etc). This table is constructed on 7-ply birch veneer plywood -strong as anything, and looks like solid wood. The parts assemble with screws & nuts at the joints, and will go together in about 20 minutes. This is the only table that I found that satisfied my requirements for build quality, appearance, and durability. In addition, I thought the price was reasonable considering the price of the rest of the junk on the market. The table has a small lip to keep parts from falling off the top, and there is room below for baskets or rolling shelves if desired. Recommended.

I really should have read the description more, as one of the main reasons I got this table was the two large drawers underneath. However, they are NOT included, and are ridiculously overpriced (they cost more than the table: $170! For two drawers!!).The table is very large and sturdy however, so we'll be keeping it. Now I need to head to target and find myself some containers for underneath.I was unsatisfied with the quality of this product. If someone was paying attention when the wood was milled, they could have chosen the better sides for exterior pieces. The wood laminate was warped and contained lots of knots. Perhaps next time I will go with "Made in China."

Gears Of War The Board Game
I've played the first mission 2 times so far with 2 different friends.We had a really fun time.I'm fairly new to board games, but my friends have been playing them heavily for years.This was a game that I thought I could finally relate to them with, and it's working.The art in the cards and miniatures is beautiful.I sometimes get distracted just looking at a card or playing with a figure.To help me understand the rules, I watched youtube videos of a guy playing through the first mission.I'm a visual learner, so this helped immensely.
I bought a cheap plastic tackle box to put the pieces in, and it helps when looking for tokens or figures when playing.
I picked up some card sleeves and I'm glad I did, because one on my friends already spilled soda on some cards, but they were protected so all is well.
GM-less co-op? Constantly dynamic maps? Detailed figures and quick turns? Solitaire mode? Sure, you've heard it all before, but this time, you've actually FOUND it! CoreyK & FFG's 'Gears Of War: The Board Game' has instantly risen to be one of my most favourite games, purely on the *delivered* promise of real co-op. A bit more direct and far less lengthy° than 'Arkham Asylum', this has become an instant hit amongst my gaming friends and family because truly, everyone can play: everyone can help set up the map without getting an advantage over any other player; everyone can resolve combat phases by rolling for the enemy Locust Horde while still taking action and rolling for their own characters on their own turns; the shuffled cards leave everyone wondering what will happen next. By the second round of turns, everyone had figured out the flow of their hand and gameplay was speeding up.
'Gears' or not, this is a superbly crafted war game simulator, something that isn't 'Warhammer 40K' long but never dull, either! The AI system in particular is just brilliant, offering simple mechanics that result in massive overall effect, making it easy to implement, but complex enough to surprise and thrill you, too! The closest games that comes to mind: this combines the randomly-generated map-building of 'Betrayal At House On The Hill' with an almost 'D20 Modern'-esque combat rule system, creating a game that is a perfect hour-long roflstomp for a gaming group. It's even fun on your own, as I read the 1P notes so much, I had to try it! It's also very modular, meaning you can play to a certain point, then "save game" for another time, because each mission is nicely split up in setup and objectives (as is the map-generation, as a result). This is a nice shift in design than other CoreyK games, like 'Starcraft' (Superb! Infinitely long!) and 'RuneWars' (Great! Did I already use up "infinitely"? Insanely long!), so you can really make this a part of a gaming night, rather than a focus game. With the swiftness of turns that keeps people drawn in, it sometimes becomes hard to break *away* from GoWtBG!
° And with everything in box! No expansions, thus far! No real need for them, either, although BoardGameGeeks has had some great ideas for new missions to run. Also! HeroClix figures are just the right size to match the 1.5" figures included in box! This means you could expand the character roster yourself, like I did, to add a female character, AnyaStroud, to the mix. Exceptionally well-crafted game.

Gears of War the board game is very well designed as both an extremely fun board game as well as a great addition to the Gears of War collection.It is surprising every time something new happens in the board game how easy it is to relate to something that would actually occur in the same way in the video games.. As a cooperative game it is nice to be able to use teamwork to overtake the locust horde, rather than fighting to take each other out. Let me say off the bat, I am not a fan of Gears of War the Video Game. I have nothing against it, I am just not a fan of First/Third Person shooters. I have played it a few times to understand it is basically your Aliens/HALO/40K type humans vs. the alien Horde romp. What I do like is the quality of Fantasy Flight's board games and I'm a sucker for Dungeon crawls (esp. Sci Fi themed) like Space Hulk, Warhammer Quest and Castle Ravenloft, to name a few. Gears of War was on my watch list and I picked it up when I saw it on deep discount here on Amazon ... Getting a $70+ FFG game for less than 40 was too good to pass up.My quick review of the game:
It's a slightly different spin on the crawler boardgame ... you are more or less compelled to take bold actions every turn, else you will get crushed in the unending wave of aliens, who are not anywhere near as squishy as you are. The basic mechanic is that your hand of cards is your bank of actions and your life. You can discard a card and take a basic action like move or perform a basic attack. or you can do what is on the card (in order, with little or no modifications) and hopefully have a big turn, but you must keep enough cards in your hand to soak damage, react to attacks and help your allies out when they need a hand. This game is divided into areas as opposed to the common grid, so movement, range and line of sight are a bit atypical (kudos for a line of sight ruler for determining LOS, instead of counting squares). The game certainly has some Ravenloft DNA (the enemy AI is on rails, but havinga semi random deck is nice no overlord is needed) as well as descent (weapons/abilites will get triggered off of symbols on the dice for a bit of interest and to make the human soldiers not so 'samey')
There is a bit of the 'we have to make this an homage to the video game' so there is an ever present aspect of collecting ammo and weapon drops. This game does do a good job of making this less clunky than otrher systems I have played and the scenarios are a nice touch .... but there are certainly enough components to kitbash your own random adventure.
My only real complaint is the play time is really through the roof. I thought the game's design to keep the humans constanlty on the move would keep things brisk, but in true crawler fashion, even the introductory scenario can take two hours to finish, becuase the game will choke you with enemies seemingly afgter each advance you make ...
that said, it certainly fits into that category of cooperative games that are fun to play win or lose, the game will make for some epic turns but it is a grinder of sorts that you measure more in 'how close were we to winning this time?' than worrying about ultimate victory ... but I'm sure when things do fall in place and the teamwork pans out and you do win that one game against the locust forces, it will be huge!

Gund Muttsy 14? Plush-Medium
We have had lots of Muttsy stuffed animals in our family over the years and this one seems to be of lesser quality, I was disappointed.
Her son (now 3 years old) inherited that original Muttsy.Muttsy has become his favorite toy, constant companion, and sleep partner. Muttsy was also his comforting companion during a recent surgery. We weren't sure how many more "washings" Muttsy could endure.So I decided to see if I could find a back up, just in case our original fell apart.
I was delighted to find out that Muttsy was still available.My great-nephew hasn't seen the new Muttsy yet the new Muttsy will appear when he is needed.I have no doubt that the new Muttsy will be enjoyed by this generation, and hopefully passed along to the next generation with as much love an affection as the old one.
I can't think of another toy that has the same timeless appeal and endurance.
LEGO DUPLO Toy Story Jessie's Roundup 5657
Purchased this for my 3 year old Daughter.She recieved some Mega Blocks for Christmas from family at our family Christmas party.She loved playing with them.Since she is also a ToyStory fanatic, I thought this would be a great gift.She opened it Christmas morning along with some of her other Lego Duplo toys and had a great time pretending and playing.The Lego Duplo blocks are easy for little hands to put together and take apart, and they stay together better than the Mega Blocks do.
Jessie can sit on the Bullseye which she loves.I just wish I could find another Bullseye horse so Woody could also have a horse to ride on.

This is a fantastic lego set for little kids.Lego Duplo blocks are fantastic for kids not quite old enough for regular legos.These ones are a bit larger and easier for little hands to get together.This is a great set for any Toy Story fan and makes for a nice gift.

I got this table because I had a similar blown grey table that was not adjustable, and for some reason most tables (and desks for that matter) are designed too HIGH to promote good sitting ergonomics. This one is just what I needed and is heavier and seems quite sturdy. The metalwork under the legs seems a little bent and most notably the wrench that comes with it is metric and it really really sucks and mine was completely stripped and useless by the time I tightened the last nut. So expect to waste a good deal of time getting the screws tight if you don't have a metric wrench set (it's around 7/16ths) but in the end, this is a good table.Save 35% Off

My daughter age 8 asked for a ping pong table for Christmas and we have no room for a full size table. I found this one on Amazon and it is just what I was looking for. I looked at several others and decided on this one because of the three year warranty and it was metal which seemed more durable. It arrived in 2 days in good condition. It doesn't have anything to assemble, we were playing within 5 minutes. The actual Table folds like a suit case and has a zip pocket for paddles,ball and net (included). It is small enough we can carry it in the camper for fun on trips.I am very please with this purchase.
My husband picked this out as a christmas present and he was excited about it b/c it was suppose to be heavy duty so if would be worth the shipping.We got it.It is beautiful -seriously, nice looking well made etc.The net is even well made.The problem is that the balls don't bounce properly.The table is way smaller then our other table as well.We could live with the small size, but the ball not bouncing properly is a big problem. Oh, I almost forgot, the paddles are about half the size of a regular ping pong paddle and they only have rubber on one side.This is very hard for a man size hand to hold.Don't buy one.

Every foosball player needs experience with Tornado balls. They are quite unlike the hard plastic balls that come with most tables. The surface of the balls has kind of a nubby rough feel that greatly increase the friction of the surface. This has two big consequences. The first is that ball control is *greatly* increased. If you have been trying to learn tic tacs, snake shots, etc and can't figure out how people control the ball without it sliding out from under your player uncontrollably it will make more sense once you use these balls (and as you get better it will be less crucial to have a ball like this). The other big consequence is that the ball will not roll as far. You can still get extremely fast kicks but the ball will tend to stop rolling and stay still when it is moving slowly. For ball control purposes this is great but it also means that you may find the ball "dies" on the field between two rows of players when neither can touch it much more frequently.

I bought this set for my grandsons 2nd birthday.My son found it very easy to assemble and my daughter in law loves it because it is a lovely piece of furniture.My grandson loves to sit at the table and look at books or build with blocks.This is a sturdy set that will last for many years.
I like the quality of the table and chairs.It wasn't too hard to install.Glue was sitting in the box and I couldn't find it until after the whole thing was together.The only thing I don't love is that it's a little small.It's great for 3 years and younger.But it's small for a 5 year old.Unfortunately, he is the one that really uses it.The kids love it for doing puzzles.The surface size is perfect.

We found this set easy to assemble, and so far it has faired well under the abuse of our 3 year old. The table cleans up well after meals. The chairs are a bit slippery on the kitchen floor and are heavy due to their wood composition, but after a few spills our son got the hang of using them. All in all, a good buy.

After extensive research we decided on this table and chairs set for our 22 month old daughter for Christmas.I compared this table to the Kidkraft Farmhouse set and Avalon set.In my opinion, the Farmhouse is too small and the Avalon too big for toddlers.This set was right down the middle.
Right now her toes don't quite touch the floor but she's still able to sit nicely and play at it.Plus, she has plenty of room to grow into it.The set was very easy to put together, 15 minutes max.The material is solid wood and so far seems sturdy.My only wish is that this set came with 4 chairs instead of 2.But after searching the internet I found that we can buy additional Aspen chairs at a price of $30-$40 per chair, which we intend to do.

Very pleased with this, rock solid.Beautiful finish and well made.I'm not sure what one reviewer's reference to glue is about.This doesn't need any glue.All the holes matched easily, the assembly instructions are clear but you'll barely need them.All screw locations are recessed so the screws are flush, nothing sticks out.An Allen wrench comes with it and that's all you'll need for assembly.It took 25 minutes to unpack and assemble.
There's a warning on the Amazon web page about small parts, but that can only apply prior to assembly.If properly assembled, this table and chair set won't come apart in normal use and there are no other small parts.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission doesn't seem to have any specific recommendations on child chairs.They recommend the maximum distance between slats/posts on a crib be no more than 2 3/8 inches (60mm).The distance between the chair back and chair seat is 5".The distance between the bottom of the chair seat and the lower seat leg stiffiners is 5 1/2 inches.That's information, not a criticism. It's conceivable a child could get their head stuck.Make your own judgement.I would have preferred smaller openings.
The box says it's for ages 2 to 5, but once a child can sit up alone most will be OK with this.The seats are low of course.
