I bought the second doll thinking the name was printed on the shirt as well because that's what was shown on the photo. However, when the bear came the shirt had nothing printed on it. Green Toys My First Blocks

These are easy to hold but too large to fit in the mouth.Smooth with no corners or sharp edges.Best of all if you step on one they don't hurt your feet or break.Dishwasher safe and easy to sanitize.I expect these blocks to hold up to more then one kid and would be good for a day care or preschool.They seem to grow with your kids so they will hold interest from about 6 months to at least 4 years if not 6 for those who like to stack and build towers.While they don't snap together when stacked the bumps align and keep them together fairly well while still keeping them easy to handle for the one year old set.They will hold up to heavy chewers too, although some of the worst might make a dent or two.

Considering the safety issues and the quality these blocks are a great value too.

i am a big fan of green toys!if your child is over 1, buy two sets so there are a good number of blocks to build with.under 1 years old, one set will be suitable for the gnawing, throwing, clicking, banging, etc...that children will do.

these block DO attach together and you CAN build towers with them.the variety of different shaped blocks is good. and i ordered two sets and received two different color sets.

the colors aren't harsh like most baby toys, they aren't made in china, and they are a green product.i would much rather my child play with these than some chemical ridden, made in china set of blocks that will probably be recalled soon.

I bought these blocks for my 15 months old son. I choose these blocks over the other blocks available on the market because they are green and safe, which I feel is very important, especially in blocks who tend to be played a lot with.

So I really was excited when they arrived! The blocks have the perfect size and have nice colours, also there is enough variety in the shapes.

HOWEVER my big problem with them is that they don't stay together, if you put one block on top of the other they are not attached to each other in any way so they just fall off with the mildest push. So building anything is impossible.

Another problem is that you have to put the smaller blocks on top of the big blocks, the other way around doesn't work. So for example, you can't put 3 small blocks next to each other and than put a bigger block on top (it doesn't attach, you can't lift it).

So, these blocks work for small babies who like pushing things over and seeing things fall but if you are looking for blocks to build with, skip these (wish I had).

Like other reviewers have said, two sets will give you more blocks to play with...I'd personally love FOUR but I'm an adult and these are for my daughter. She loves them and my husband and I enjoy them too! ;) The fact that they don't 'link' together like duplos or other blocks makes them more age-appropriate. As an educator, I know that this age loves to build as much as they like to tear down and these blocks allow them to do just that.

Glad to see the use of recycled materials. I also understand the concept of not having them snap tightly together so little babies can put them together and take them apart. However, these just don't snap together at all. The base is just too flexible and needs more rigidity. I would rate them above just slightly above average due to recycled and he does like to smack them down when I build it, but they are hard to build anything other than just a straight up stack due to flexibility.

Woodland Scenics Hot Wire Foam Cutter

I had one of these back when I was a kid. My mother was big into arts and crafts and I have done everything under the sun. I mean everything. We used a similar device to cut foam for some art project that I was required to do. It was not as nice. It was plastic, not as versatile and ran on batteries.

Last October I had the need to cut large panels of foam to use as tombstones. I had originally thought of using a knife but what a mess that makes.

This tool is great for cutting foam. No mess. Easy to use.

It has a small power supply which plugs into the handle. It has a trigger which sends a low voltage to the wire which gets hot and melts the foam. As soon as you let go of the trigger the wire cools quickly to the touch.

I did purchase the add-on Foam Cutter Bow & Guide and extra wire. The bow allows you to work on larger pieces of foam. The extra wire is in case I break it while working....which didn't happen.

I would suggest this tool to anyone working with and cutting foam.

This has been "The" foam cutter for decades now. If you are a model railroader, table-top wargamer, or diorama maker. Or for that matter if you do foam work for arts and crafts projects then this is the foam cutter to get. It works well and gives you good heat and good control over what you are cutting. The design of it is also great because it allows you to make very straight cuts by running the fork along a flat surface like the table top (see my picture of this process in the user submitted pics) . You can also get the Foam Cutter Bow & Guidefor more detailed and accurate work. There is no need to order a replacement wire for this cutter. When you install the wire you will be able to use only 1/3rd of it and you can set aside the rest of the wire as replacements.

I purchased this as a hopefully cheap solution to cutting the outline of a couple rifles for a pelican case. The shape of the cutter is not conducive at all to cutting anything besides a straight exterior line. Trying to cut an interior edge, or a curved line was nearly impossible. After fiddling around with it and reversing the metal pieces in order to open up the wire as much as possible, I had a small amount of success. Overall, it was more of a pain and less effective in cutting the foam then hoped. It did a very crude job. The wire refused to stay taught, when attempting to keep it tight it would break, and the fact that you had to continuously hold the trigger wasn't annoying.

If you are using this for any sort of serious project, your best bet is to make your own cutter, or use something else.

I purchased this item from Amazon as well as a different foam cutter from my local Hobby Lobby, and I have to say I like this one much better than the alternative. I am a hobbyist who makes wargaming terrain, and this cutter is my favorite so far. The one I purchased from hobby lobby has just a single metal rod that is heated, unfortunately it is too wide and does not heat up enough to get a really clean cut. The only thing I like about that cutter over this one is it has a toggle switch that you don't have to hold down.

I am unsure of how hot this cutter gets exactly, but I think the small surface area of the wire helps it cut through foam with ease. The momentary switch as I mentioned before is a bit of a pain, but only if you use it for 'extended' periods of time. Once you press the switch, it takes about 2-4 seconds to warm up to where it can start to cut. Wait a little longer for the heat to build, and it gets even better. Once I am finished, I just get two or three paper towels, hold it on to heat it up for a few seconds, and what little styrofoam residue that is left on the wire I just quickly wipe off. Be careful to fold the paper towels over a few times, otherwise the heat can catch you off guard.

Other than the switch, the handle is a little flimsy which would normally not be a problem except you attach the two metal rods into the handle with thumb screws.

In summary it is not the highest quality item, but I would recommend this to a friend, and I would purchase it again myself.

Squinkie Girl Zinkies Bird House Theme

Got it for an 8 year old granddaughter; youngest child in the house. .We gott her several of these Themes: Nature , Sea Coral, Bird House, and Train.It made a great gift and she really enjoyed it and played with it a lot, mixing all the differnt themes.The pieces are very tiny (I mean REALLY tiny).They tended to get lost during play and I would be concerned about a younger child putting them into their mouth an potentiallky swallowing them.I would strongly advise against getting this toy if there are younger children in the house since it poses a severe danger it they should find one of the pieces (a HIGLY likely event) and swallow them.Thus it only gets a 4, othewise it would have been a 5.

Got these for the granddaughters and they have a lot of fun with them.Just be aware they are super tiny easy to lose.

I bought these with the expectation that the squinkies were at least the size of a quarter. They're actually the size of a pencil eraser. Might be fun for an older child but not for a 2 & 3 yr old. Pictures & commercials made them appear MUCH larger than they actually are. The birdhouse is also very tiny.. Totally not worth the money especially since it's a choking hazard to my kids who wanted these for Christmas and now they can't have them. Disappointed and won't buy these in the future.

Solar System Explorer Placemat

I'm sure little kids enjoy the placemat, but if you actually want them to be educated (presumably why you are purchasing this), then you may not like the fact that Neptune and Uranus are on the same orbit, that Mars looks like it's undergoing armageddon, that Uranus looks like a cube, and the asteroid belt is in the wrong place, not to mention that absolutely nothing is even close to scale. The good news is that the correct distances between planets is appropriately labeled even if it is not displayed correctly. And it's in vibrant colors! Honestly, apart from the erroneous conception of the solar system, what kids don't want a really cool-looking space placemat?

Air Hockey Pucks - 3 Pack - Translucent design

If you have an air hockey table in your home (and if you are reading this you probably do or will) then I would really suggest this item. The pucks and pushers that came with my Sportcraft table were a little light duty for me. I tried some others that I could find around town but could not find what I really wanted. So I turned to Amazon and found this item.

The pucks are a great color and look good when played. I'm not a huge fan of the odd shaped pucks but they add for some exciting play when needed.

I was looking for heavier pucks and found these. They are a little heavier than what will normally come with your table. However, I was able to find some that were even heavier here on amazon. I like these and will use them but will probably use the heavier ones more.

If you are looking for something bigger and heavier for your table you need this in your air hockey inventory!

Smithsonian Smithsonian Micro Volcano

What's not great about combining baking soda and vinegar in a narrow tube for a kid? My 6 year old had fun with this.

That said, the design and assembly looked good on paper but have some glaring but easily corrected problems.

Pros:

Fun

Stokes the imagination

Cons:

Unnecessarily difficult to assemble (but easy to solve that, see below)

Directions missing a key step

If you buy this toy, do these things to make life much easier:

1. If you use the tube supplied, make sure to attach the bottom on it before you do any other assembly. This was omitted from the directions.

2. If you use the tube supplied, instead of trying to thread the loooong string through the holes in the cardboard base, snip each hole on the cardboard base with some scissors so the hole becomes a slot.

3. Cut the string in half.

4. Instead of the tube supplied, which has a detached (read leaky) bottom, use some other plastic cup that is fully enclosed on the bottom and sides. That way when you pour the vinegar in it, it doesn't run out the bottom.

We used a larger version of this product with my son and it was a great toy to teach him about the science behind the "eruption". I bought this particular product (Micro Volcano) as a gift and would say that it is too small for little hands to manipulate. Moreover, the owe factor is not just there with the micro version.

There was missing information in the instructions that left the plaster/sand mixture a mess because we tried to guess at how to do it.

Not sure how this would have worked if we would have known how to combine the ingredients properly, but I did like the pump and the fact that it "erupted," rather than the old pour vinegar into the top way.

My 8 year old son just finished building this volcano and is now waiting for the plaster to dry.He really enjoyed building it, although threading the string through all those tiny holes was a bit frustrating as the string is very long.It kept getting tangled, so I took over that part and cut it into more manageable lengths.There are a few extra knots under the volcano now, but the result is the same.My son enjoyed wetting the plaster strips, and layering them to build up his volcano.And in a few hours (hopefully?) it will be dry enough to paint.We've done the baking soda/vinegar experiment a few times now, so this project was more about building the volcano for him.I only paid about half the price it is listed on Amazon, so I'm pretty satisfied with the 40 minutes of hands-on entertainment it has provided my son.Please note:This is their small volcano (only about 3-1/2 inches tall when finished).It was a fun project though, so I think I'll order the large volcano also.

Recently received this loupe and it seems to be working very well.I can't say it's quality construction, because it is all plastic and somewhat delicate and seems pricey for what you get.But it's a nice size and the light is very bright.Because of the positioning of the light, this is meant to be hand held, rather than setting it down flat on the object (stamp, coin, etc.).They had identical ones on Ebay for less than $2.00, but the batteries weren't included.This loupe does the job.

A+ Childsupply Computer Table

This table is good quality and is the perfect size for my young kids ( 8 and 4 years old.) Since I'm a petite woman, I can use the same computer as them without any problems. The only thing is the space for the mouse. It is a little tight, specially if you're using a regular sized key board. What a regrettable purchase.The lapdesk looks unbelievably cheap, the "metal" parts were literally rubbing off right out of the box.There were so many threads hanging off the fabric that it was next to impossible to unzip it to insert batteries.The plastic battery holder had come unglued from the backing, and the flexible metal lamp piece kept falling out of the hole.The light did NOT work with brand new batteries, and has no plastic or glass covering the actual bulbs. This item was too small for a regular sized laptop. Outer dimensions are 16" wide by 13" deep and that includes the cup holder , pencil holder and the LED light that sticks out. The distance from the bottom of the cup holder to the base of the unit is 8 1/2" and the distance from the cup holder to the left side of the unit is 10 1/2", that is what I would consider usable workspace, which isn't much. If you have one of those little 7" to 10" net books from Acer or someone else this will probably work fine but if you have a 14" to 17" laptop, forget it. What a waste of $20.

Little Tikes Adjust N Draw Table

I bought this table because it seemed reasonalby priced for my needs. I have a 2 and a 4 year old who use it. The problem is that keep falling off it. The benches seem too small and too close tothe table so when they are getting on and off the seat they fall backwards. So not too safe for them to use .

I was searching high and low for a craft/eating/play table for my 17 month old boy. Found this and was very excited. Got it out of the box and realized that bench had to be screwed on. Doesn't give you much space to screw in either! Once hubby and I put it together it looked so much smaller than expected. My son was literally falling off the seat. Very uncomfortable looking too! It wasn't sturdy either. He would move his feet and the whole table went backwards. Ages 1/2 years to 5 years old? How in the world can a five year fit on this? Not impressed with this Little Tikes piece.

I bought this for my 20 month old daughter and she loves it!I put hers in the living room so she can have her snacks and watch tv.

It is not hard to put together but it does take screws to go into the plastic.She has sat on top of the table and my son who is 10 sat on top and it held his weight.I wouldn't recommend that all the time though.

So far it is used as a craft/eating table.When she is older I will convert to the drawing side.

I recommend this to all parents with toddlers! :)

This is easy to put together. It took me about 15 min. Pretty good size for my 16 mo old dtr. She eats, drinks, has a tea party w/stuffed animals and draws at this table. I'm not sure how durable this is though. It's so light that she can drag it around the room, but if it was heavy duty, I guess I can't get it for this price. As my dtr is very tiny, I'm guessing she can use it for the next 2 yrs or so. The reason I didn't give 5 star rating is that from the very first piece that I pulled out of the box, everything was dirty. I was able to just wipe them w/office whips relatively easy, but it was anoying as you got excited opening the box. A kid can fall back as there's no back to the chairs, but as any other toys for little toddlers, you have to be there and watch the child closely. My dtr fell once, but she got up right away and sat on the chair like nothing happened. So far, my dtr loves it and I am happy with it. I've had it for almost 2 wks now.

Kidkraft Limited Edition Waterfall Mountain Train Table and Train Set W/drawers

Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase.Here's the nitty gritty of it...

I thought the table was pretty easy to assemble.It took me less than an hour doing it on my own.One reviewer mentions 4 adults taking 3 hours to put it together on Christmas eve.All I can say is that there had to be a significant amount of eggnog involved that night.

The table is sturdy enough for my 2 year old and lots of fun.The storage drawers are very convenient.

The manufacturer lists this product for kids 3 and up.That's just because there are some small parts like railroad crossing signs and stop lights.You can just bag those up and save them for when your kids are older.The crane is fairly delicate so you'll probably want to set it aside too.The trains, tracks, and table are perfectly suitable for younger kids.

I think the product would be better if the tracks were numbered for quicker assembly.I took a fine point sharpie and discretely numbered the tracks to make it easier to reassemble them when I clear the table to clean it now and then.

The table comes with a hospital, fire station, and police station.All three are a painted wood square that snap into a plastic base so they can stand up.The hospital roof is also a plastic piece that snaps on.The product would be better if the fire station and police station were built the same way.Their roofs are made of wood that just rests on top of the painted wood square.They fell off so often that I attached them with wood glue.It was an easy fix and left my son much less frustrated.

Even more frustrating than the fire station and police station roofs is the gas station assembly.It's made of several small wood pieces that are held together by wood pegs.It fell apart any time my son touched it.Actually, it fell apart any time my husband and I tried to move it so there's no way a toddler or preschooler could move it without collapsing the whole thing.The product would be better if the gas station came with screws to hold it together much like the airport included with the table does.That said, a little wood glue easily solved the problem.

Some reviewers mention that their kids destroyed the track assembly within minutes.I haven't had a problem with that.My son pulled one piece off once and was so upset that he cried out "broke! broke! momma fix!" and hasn't pulled any of the track parts off since.

Some reviewers mention that the trains don't fit through the tunnel.I thought this was true when I first put everything together.It turns out that you just need to wiggle the track a little so it sits right in the center of the tunnel. The trains won't fit if the track is pushed over to the left or right side.

The train arrived with one piece of broken track and the wrong backboard.The backboard didn't make any sense with the train track layout.There was no possible way to set it up so the road crossed the track at the railroad crossing piece.I called Kidkraft and they immediately shipped me the correct pieces at no cost.Some people might view it as a negative that it arrived wrong but I can understand how these things happen.It's much more important to me that they fixed it quickly and without hassle.We'll own this table for years and I'm happy knowing we will get good service and customer support during that time.

Some reviewers wrote that they wished they'd bought a Thomas table instead.I specifically did not buy a Thomas train table because I don't want my kid to start obsessing over branded toys already.I can't stand the way the Thomas tables say "THOMAS" over every blood square inch of surface space.I write this so you'll know how much it pains me to admit that the Thomas tracks are better quality.That said, the Kidkraft tracks work just fine.If you have an older child that might notice the difference in quality, you might want to consider buying a Kidkraft table and Thomas tracks.Another plus to getting the Kidkraft table instead of the Thomas one is that you can flip the board over and use the table for something else when your kid outgrows playing with a train table.There's no escaping that Thomas tables are just meant for trains.

It also pains me to admit that the Thomas trains are better quality than the Kidkraft trains.Once again, the Kidkraft trains work just fine but the wheels don't run quite as smooth as the Thomas ones do.In favor of the KidKraft trains is that you can load and unload cargo off them.My son received a few Thomas trains from relatives this Christmas and he doesn't seem to notice the difference.He uses them all interchangeably.He really likes pairing the larger Thomas trains (which he calls Poppa trains) with the smaller KidKraft trains (baby trains) and taking them on adventures around the track.Having both gives us a chance to talk about size and to pair by color.We also received some surprisingly high quality trains from Target under the Circo brand name.A combination of all three will really give your kid a great selection on this table.

I would just love to give this table a 5 star review but I can't.I have had to contact the Kidkraft twice because of a couple of issues.First off the train that came with the table didn't go together.The put the same magnet in every single end of the train so they all opposed each other.The second issue is that the mountain that is supposed to make noise was missing all of its electrical components.It had the spot for the battery but no electrical wiring.They are helpful in fixing these problems but none the less it is still frustrating when this was my 3 year old sons birthday gift.But all in all the train set is great, and it deserves the 5 star. But I just can't because of all the headaches I had to go through to get everything right!

This is a great toy at a great price!It is well-made, sturdy, colorful and fun;it will be enjoyed for many, many years.It was fairly easy to assemble though it would have been helpful to have come with a full view picture of the assembled set, to assist with the layout.Our 3 year old grandson was completely captivated from the minute hesaw it, and played with it, non-stop, for hours on Christmas Day.He had no interest in any other toys!This is an heirloom-quality toy at an amazingly low price; worth every penny, and a lot more!We could not have been more satisfied with our purchase.

Hasbro Dora The Explorer Edition Memory Game

My daughter loves Dora, so of course this was a bit hit with her.Since she was only 2 when she got this, a lot of the cards are now in different places in the house, but that's okay!She loves finding "2 Ticos" or "2 Swipers".Very fun!

I saw it at Walmart for 5.99.Waaaaaaaaaaay overpriced here on Amazon.I didn't buy it at the time so I hope it didn't sell out.But to pay 10+ dollars and then have it shipped.What a joke.

There was a pretty sizeable hole right in the front of the box.I was planning on giving this toy as a Christmas gift and was really embarrassed.Because it came too close to Christmas, I couldn't return it in enough time.Haven't been able to open it, but it looks like the game itself is not damaged.

Gund Crawl with Me Turtle Animated Musical 11.5" Plush

My daughter is not quite crawling yet, but she likes the Crawl with me Turtle. She dances to the music and gets upset when it stops.

I personally find the voice kind of annoying; the first thing my husband asked when he saw it was if there was a way to turn the voice off. (There is not.) Also, the turtle crawls VERY SLOWLY. It's definitely something your baby will not have trouble catching once they get moving!

()I love the brand Gund.My daughter has a few Gund stuffed animals and I was excited to add this turtle to the collection. Turtles are also my moms favorite animal, so she was super excited too.I have never owned a Gund "animated plush".

First impression:When the toy arrived, the packaging threw me off a little.It came wrapped in a plastic bag and seemingly thrown in box. Um. Okay. No big deal, and may have been just a Vine thing, but it definitely was not "gift worthy" if you're planning on sending it as a gift.

The next thing I noticed was how study the turtle felt cool, that means it can handle my 15 month old.However, the four legs are thinly covered pieces of metal (not a very squishy toy).The rest looked exactly like the picture with accurate colors.

Crawling: This thing moves SLOW or not at all.Sometimes it just makes the motion.My daughter does not mind, and she still thought it was great.She was thoroughly entertained for at least 10 minutes* the first time we used it.My two cats also seemed to think it was pretty interesting as a bonus.

Sounds:The melody is fine, the words of encouragement become a little annoying. ("Crawl with me baby! Touch my shell! Now you got it baby!" etc)The sound is a cute (or creepy) happy little kid voice.I will mimic others and say that if I had to change one thing, I'd really really like an on/off switch for the sounds, because without it being "on" its just a semi-stuffed animal. It is a shame that it can't crawl and be silent.My daughter though does like the voice, and seems to enjoy touching the shell (activating the voice) of the turtle when she walks by.

Overall, I would recommend this toy.It is cute and fun, my daughter really loves it, my mom (nana) adores it, and for what it is a fun interactive toy, I really like it.

(*10 minutes it pretty good in toddler-time)

()My daughter is close to crawling so I liked the idea of a turtle that would crawl with her when she started to crawl. The turtle says phrases such as "Crawl with me", "You're doing great baby" and "Catch me." These phrases are nice encouragement for the baby but for a parent, they start to grow old fast as does the music that plays as the turtle crawls. It only plays ONE song as it crawls, which I find to be monotonous and more song variety would make the turtle more appealing as would more phrases or just a music only option. She gets bored with him after a few minutes.

Another issue I found with the turtle is that he crawls really well on hard floors, but if you have a thicker carpet or put him on a blanket on the floor with the baby, he gets stuck and doesn't move very well. When he does crawl, he moves pretty slowly it would be nice if it had a mechanism to change the crawl speed as baby gets more proficient with crawling.

Overall, the idea was better than the delivery of this product. While my baby likes it fine, I wouldn't purchase it for the asked price though given all the downsides.

()The new Gund "Crawl with Me Turtle" toy is so awesomely cute I dare anybody to keep from smiling while watching this little fella strut his stuff. This slow-moving animated plush turtle walks and talks and plays music and everybody in the house baby, brother and sister, mom and dad, grandma and grandpa...even the pets will find this toy easy to love. No, it's not educational (unless encouraging an infant to crawl is "teaching"), but that's not the point. The "Crawl with Me Turtle" is just one of those toys that you get for the little one because maybe, someday, they'll have a faint memory of Mr. Turtle lumbering across the floor in front of them while they were giggling their Snuggie off.

The Gund Crawl with Me Turtle is super cute and just the right size.He crawls forward slowly and encourages crawling babies to tap his back.The touch is very responsive, so the baby does not need to be very precise.The video shows how long the turtle takes to start over again after being "caught."

Other than the lack of options (music and voice, crawl speed), this is a charming toy that will likely not annoy parents too much.

Transparent Sand and Water Table

I've had this water table for 4 years.I love that it has: adjustable height, clear basin, petite size, variable depths, and is very light weight.I used it for both sand and water and MUD!But the sand ended up scratching the plastic and making it look cloudy and old.It wasn't that easy to clean, none of them are, but at least this one was small enough I could use the wand in my kitchen sink, and didn't have to bring out the garden hose and scrub bucket.I was really sad when the plug broke and rendered the product just about useless.I think that was my fault; I left it outside in the early fall and I don't think it could take the colder temps.I'm buying a new one today, and expect to get my money's worth out of it too.

We bought this water table about 6 months ago. I liked the cool shape of the table, the multiple depths, and its perfect height. However, the plastic has developed lots of weird white streaks and yellow streaks, as well as several interior cracks. And we've only used it for water no sand at all! Pretty disappointing for how expensive it is.

The table and chair are sturdy and well-made, but there is little clearance between the ledge (wood between legs) of the table, and the top of the chairs. My daughters have to squish their dolls around to get them to fit.

I purchased the Country Square table and chairs as a Christmas present for my granddaughter.One leg fell off after a few uses and the other three after a month.I recently inspected the table and found that 2 of the legs had screws at their ends which fit into a metal fitting on the table and the other 2 legs had dowels which were glued into the table top.I tried to fix the table again but couldn't.My granddaughter loved the set and was disappointed that it fell apart so soon.I would not recommend this product.

This play set is wonderful!It is easy to use and entertaining for preschool to early school age children.While kids are having fun playing, they are improving their fine motor skills and patterning.They can be creative with their own designs or learn to follow one of the included pattern cards.The set includes 3 bits for use with the drill or screwdriver handle and 5 different colored large screws.The drill has forward, off, and reverse settings and makes drill sounds at a reasonable volume.Overall a great buy.

Love this toy, probably the best of the year.It is well made and sturdy.The drill fascinates my 4 year old, and even the 8 yr old and 11 yr old enjoy matching the pattern cards (and they are all girls...).A toy my children will play with for at least 30 mins straight(quite a feat in the video age!!!)If you are considering it, try it...I would bet that you will be impressed.

I bought this toy for my 5-year-old.He has autism and loves tool type of toys.As soon as we opened this he got a HUGE grin on his face.Totally a hit with him!

My 3-year-old daughter was DYING for a turn, and she loves to use it as well.Surprisingly, even my 19-month-old daughter can join in with her older siblings...she puts the pegs into the holes for them.

It's great for their fine motor skills...getting the drill bit in the right spot is a little tricky for small hands.There are also hand tools which are good practice for the little ones, too.I also use it to practice turn-taking with the 3 and 5 year olds...each gets to drill a certain number of pegs and then has to trade the drill with their sibling.

And it is FUN!My kids like just filling up the whole board, but I think after we've had it for awhile (it's only been 2 weeks) we can start using some of the patterns.Great idea to extend the life of the toy.

This toy seems really durable, has lots of play options (pattern or freestyle, different drill bits, power tool or hand tool), is educational AND fun.And rarely do I find a toy that all three of my kids can sit around at the same time and play with...but they do with this one!Highly recommended!

UPDATE 9/11:

We have had this toy for three years and it is STILL one of the most popular toys in our house.My kids are now 7, 6, and 4, and all will still play with this one.I do rotate it so they don't see it for a couple months and then when it comes back out they are all fighting over who gets it next.One thing I find interesting is that none of them have ever been interested in making the pictures...they just love to use the drill and get those pegs in!

We bought the design and drill activity center for my son's 3rd birthday.We also bought a Take-A-Part Airplane.The drills with the attachments can work on either toy, so we now have 2 drills for the design and drill center.Since we have 2 drills, we bring this out for playdates and it is always a hit. Boys and girls ages 2-6 have enjoyed it.I find that the kids like to drill in a lot more than they like to remove screws, so I end up having to remove them myself so that the toy gets played with, but that's a small price to pay for the 20 minutes or so of concentration this provides.

So far, no one has wanted to replicate the pictures they just make up their own patterns.
