20" Mini Tabletop Foosball Soccer Table Game
The green "field" board is pretty thin, so be careful not to put any extra pressure on it other than the soccer balls it's intended to roll around.I can see that the rods may get bent if you're not careful, though I think it make take a bit of roughness to do that.
Also, the assembled foosball game is fairly light. My husband and I played a couple of games to test it out, and we ended up having to be careful not to lift up our side of the game! Haha.So I'm not sure how two 6 year-olds will fare.I'll have to let my niece know not to lift it up or bang it back down in the heat of battle.
Overall though, my husband and I had a lot of fun with this. It's definitely light enough to carry around to parties if you wanted to.And my husband and I played on our carpet floor instead of on a table, and that worked fine.Though that may also be part of the reason that we ended up lifting up the board on accident a few times trying to to hit the ball.If I find that it doesn't last up to the playing of my niece and cousin, I'll update this review.
I offered do my grand-son in 4 year day. Difficult to ensemble. Good value for price and as first soccer game.

Great fun for about an hour. Then one of the rods broke, because it was made of cheap metal. Could have suspected this would happen, because the generally poor quality of the parts had made assembly a hassle (pieces didn't fit together well).Read Best Reviews of 20" Mini Tabletop Foosball Soccer Table Game Here
Bought the table last year for Christmas and it lasted 4 days being played by 5 and 6 year old.The rods controlling the players are really thin and easily bent.Once a rod is slightly bent it will not slide back and forth for control making the whole thing useless. The makers of this item market it several brands. It is absolute junk. The manufacturers and marketers should be ashamed of the build quality of it. I can't imagine anyone would sell it with a return policy or satisfaction guarantee. I have assembled a lot of cheap Chinese-made junk in my life but this item wins the poorest made hands down.

I'm thinking it will probably be one of those items that will be in scarce demand the closer it gets to Christmas so if you're even thinking about getting one, do it now while they're still available.
All in all, I think I got a great present for a terrific granddaughter.
This was a gift to our six year old granddaughter. She asked for it for her birthday. She was excited to get it.

Of all the Leap Pad books, this one held my son's interest the most. It manages to teach children a remarkable amount about classical music and composers while holding the child's interest. My son spent hours playing with this in kindergarten and very quickly learned to identify all types of instruments, music and composers. His first grade music teacher recently reported to me with amazement that my son knew about the composer Saint-Saens, knew about his work "Carnival of the Animals", and even recalled that Saint-Saens had learned to read at the age of 3! My son knew all this from his Leap Pad! Best of all, he just loves playing with it and still goes back to it periodically. I wish the company would produce another one like it on other types of music, as this one is just so fantastic.Read Best Reviews of LeapPad: Leap 2 Music - "Hit it, Maestro!" My two children, 8 and 6 love this! They have learned so much, and play with it over and over and over.I highly recommend this and hope that Leap Pad will come out with another music book perhaps featuring Jazz this time.

I agree with all who say this is the best Leap Pad book. My kids spend more time with it than with all the rest combined (and we have about half a dozen different books). This book is truly fun, and truly teaches children about music -not just facts about composers, but also about parts of the orchestra, different styles and periods of classical music, and how music conveys ideas and feelings. I'd like to see the Leap Pad manufacturers apply the creativity of "Hit It Maestro" to the visual arts, sciences, history, etc.Crayola Beginnings Color Me A Song

kept both twins busy and happy for several days but put aside for now as they need supervision with crayons right now and no time. Paper holder is inefficient for younger kids; crayon drawer came out, can't get it back... however they are still intrigued by the music and the way it speeds up with action on the drawing pad, as well as the unusual long-playing music, compared with so many toys with quick takes on tunes. 1 of them is particularly into music and much enjoys this. may be better appreciated when they are a bit older.Read Best Reviews of Crayola Beginnings Color Me A Song Here
I bought this toy for my 3 year old for Christmas. She really likes to color on it and likes the music that it plays. The drawer is easy for her to open and the toy is easy to operate. It also cleans up nicely when she doesn't put paper on it and just draws on the toy!I think she may be a little old for it though I think it would be a great toy for a 2 year old who is just starting to get the idea of coloring and drawing.I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews about this product. They almost dissuaded me from buying this for my daughter. My husband had picked it out after seeing a commercial and since I usually do the shopping for the kids I bought it rather than shoot down his choice. I'm glad I purchased it. My daughter has gotten so much enjoyment out of this product. It was really the way she learned to color. The technology on it is really neat. The paper sometimes can slide out a little but it's really not a big deal. When you're coloring normally you don't have anything to hold the paper down so the fact that there's anything to hold it in place is an improvement. You can select which instruments you want to play or have all of them. There are several different styles of songs like jazz. It's educational and fun. I would recommend this product.
Can You Imagine Lumin Disk 6" Battery Operated, Green
There is a battery compartment, or you can plug it in to the AC outlet provided.Even though the front panel is thick glass and feels durable, the back housing is plastic and looks/feels much less sturdy. The rear of the unit has a notch for wall mounting. The small black switch on the side has 3 settings; Sound/Off/On.In SOUND mode the disk will flash with sounds. To test it, I placed it next to a small radio and got no lights. However when my wife started talking (about 5 feet from the unit) it picked up her voice.I was standing right next to the unit talking, and it seemed to not pick up my voice very well. Conclusion: this thing likes chicks better than dudes.
While in the ON setting, it continuously flashed in the typical random patterns. It is a very bright and busy display, and the surface does respond to touch.Later that evening, I took it to my pitch-black garage (see my other review of lasers) and it was extremely bright...I mean you could probably read a book with this thing."Supah Bri-eeeet!"
This will be a great addition to my Halloween display of power panels and toxic pumps.
Very happy with this product. My son uses it every night as his night light. His friends are crazy about it too.Only thing to know is that the disk part is made of glass so it wouldn't be appropriate for younger kids.

I purchased three Lumin Disks for use as part of a prop for the stage musical "Li'l Abner". They were used at the top of three "radio towers" on a 6 ft diameter "globe", and plugged into an NSI/Leviton relay box connected to my stage lighting controller. As three "news reporters" were spotlighted in turn, the Lumin Disks were lit to correspond with the transmission "location" of the reporter (USA, Russia, Japan) on the globe. The visual effect was exactly as I had envisioned, and couldn't have looked better. The Lumin Disk is either wall-wart powered, or battery powered, and works continuously, or is sound-activated. I can see using them in future stage props, set around a dance floor as an easy to use, trouble-free lighting effect, or anywhere just to look cool.

Works fine when plugged in to AC charger.I've never used it with a battery set.Color is bright green. My ratings:
Fun: 5 because it does what it is supposed to which is randomly shoot out green electricity inside the glass plate
Edu Value: 3 uh, well I guess you can see how electricity goes to "ground" when you place your fingers on it, if that is its edu value
Durable: 4 made of glass so obviously you can't drop it folks, but it will take a bump or two while sitting on a stable platform, i.e. table, nightstand, etc.
Overall: 5 because it serves its advertised and intended purpose well
HeroClix Star Trek Tactics Game Starter Set
The models are quite nice. They are relatively sturdy and well-painted (and I don't mean just "for a factory-painted model"). Some will complain about some of the ships being out of scale, but if you consider that the model represents the approximate location of the vessel and that true scale would make some of the models impossibly small or impossibly large, this can easily be forgiven, overlooked, or forgotten in the glee of playing with little plastic starships.
The rules are the same as Heroclix rules, which makes this game EVEN EASIER to pick up if you've played Heroclix before. Some have scoffed at this compatibility with quips such as "Superman would never fight the Enterprise!", but I think they're missing the point. The rules are the same for EASE and SIMPLICITY, probably not as much for compatibility's sake. But, I suppose if you wanted Superman to fight a miniaturized U.S.S. Reliant, who could stop you? Let's see Khan fight his way out of that one.
In conclusion, although I am not a big fan of collectible games of ANY kind, I will no doubt pour significant resources into this game.
I picked this up and got exactly what I meant to: some mostly good miniatures. The Clix dial on the Bortas barely works, and the Enterprise is, to be blunt, a terrible miniature; the sculpt and the paint job both may be the worst in the entire line.(One of the boosters I also purchased turned out to be the Reliant, and these two should have similar hull details, but I found it interesting that the Reliant has phaser emitters painted and sculpted where the Enterprise does not...)
I tried out a couple of games, mixing the starter ships and some boosters, and found that the Heroclix system makes for a rather bad joke when it comes to playing a starship combat game. However, as that was only a secondary concern, I'm not too worried. The miniatures are mostly good (again, the Enterprise is an exception, and photos suggest that the Excelsior isn't great, either), and work well to support an expanded edition of the old Fasa Star Trek Tactical Starship Combat Simulator. At most, the Rhode Island and the Bortas might benefit from a quick (and light) wash, but otherwise, they look like professional quality minis; and the Rotarran is just gorgeous, as is.
If you're looking for a good starship game, look up Star Fleet Battles, A Call to Arms, or the out-of-print Fasa game(which still has a lot of unofficial fan support online), but consider these minis, as there are few better lines available. The plastic on the minis is nice and hard, so as to preserve find detail with good, sharp edges, and minimize the bends and other warps found on the softer versions put out a few years back by Micro Machines. While you're at it, if you like Heroclix, or you want a quick, not terribly accurate game that just give you an excuse to play with your toy starships, you may even like the included ruleset. From what I can tell, there are a lot of fans of Heroclix out there, so if the system grabs you, have fun.
For serious gamers:
1. Good, hard plastic, highly detailed and pre-painted starship minis; some lack detail on the underside, but you rarely see that part, anyway.(Could be a bummer, though, if they ever get around to Romulans...)
2. Maps are pretty, but the scale is unworkable. The wreckage on the Wolf 359 map isn't even to scale with itself, though I guess you could just treat it as artistic renders representing areas of debris and high radiation...The DS9 map is just a travesty; again, pretty, but the scale is a joke. The station is 22 inches across, roughly, which would make any ships moving around the map fit better with fighter combat of Star Wars than with Star Trek.(Really, could one fly the Enterprise-E around through the docking arms of the station and maneuver for combat? On top of that, could a Vorcha-class attack cruiser fit, doing the same thing, with two or three other ships? And that's just assuming a 200-300 pt. match. There's plenty of room to squeeze a lot more ships onto the map, if you really wanted to...)
3. Clix bases are a bit too big for standard hex maps; be prepared to either make due with not being able to see the hex a ship occupies, or to rebase the entire lot of ships you might choose to get.(Of course, as miniatures make close range combat a challenge anyway, this may not prove too much of an issue, and the bases provide handy labelling for your ships; instead of talking about D7-A, you can refer to it as the IKS Klothos, and the base will clearly define what ship you're talking about.)
4. The included dice, at least in my starter, weren't terribly well-balanced.They had an odd penchant for rolling doubles. So, move them to your Monopoly game set, and, if you're using d6s for whatever you play with these minis, get some good, high quality dice from Chessex or some such company.
But, there you have it; the review of a gamer who only bought this for the minis; but, hey, when some of the Star Trek-style minis on the market average $7-$15 in today's market, unpainted, who could complain about spending $20 for 4 pre-painted ships?
All in all, you mileage may vary, but I'm happy with the purchase, even though I think they could have done several things differently.

I love the fact that a Star Trek miniatures game has finally been made with simple rules and easily attainable prepainted figures. The maps included in the pack are outstanding, I especially like the Wolf 359 map and the Deep Space Nine map.The figures have a great paint job (especially the Klingon ships) and great detail.
The only figure I have a problem with is the Enterprise.5 minutes after opening the package I went to put the figures on display, when the Right Nacelle (engine) of the Enterprise just fell off.I really don't like the mold they used for it.They could of made the nacelles one peice that glues to the body instead of each nacelle gluing idnividually (this is a weaker design).
So If you buy this set, just watch out for the fragile Enterprise engines. Now I have to get the Rare Reliant so I have a reason for the Enterprise missing a Nacelle when I play it.

I was super excited when I learned that there would be a Star Trek HeroClix set featuring the ships.I absolutely love it.This set is the starter set that comes with a few maps and other things to get started playing the game.As with most of the other packs like this, the clix themselves aren't anything special. They are usually right in the midddle of the pack compared to some of the others in the game. The sculps are awesome though.I can't wait until they release the Borg cubes to go with these.Perfect for anyone that loves Star Trek and Heroclix. The combat mechanics translate perfectly from the original game to this expansion.DMI Sports FT500GF 56-Inch Table Soccer with Goal Flex Technology

Barbie Glam Dining Set - Pink
There are a few negatives. It's nearly impossible to get a doll to sit at the table. They don't fit well into the chairs and they tend to fall over. I've managed to fit two dolls across the table from eachother, but that was by cantelevering their legs under the table. The other negative is that there are a ton of tiny pieces. Again, this isn't a big deal in our house (we store all tiny pieces in a container with a lid) but might be an issue in a house with smaller children.
The girls really like this toy and play with it, in conjunction with their other sets, often.I bought this item for my daughter who just turned 5.She loves Barbie but the dining room table and chairs are not sturdy at all. They keep falling over and are not well made. The accessories (utensils, plates, etc.) are too small to play with. The lamp already broke. I would not recommend this product.
Buy Barbie Glam Dining Set - Pink Now
This Barbie furniture set is very pretty and a lot of fun to play with, it includes an expandable table, 4 chairs and a lamp and comes with a lot of accessories plates, glasses, food, etc. The table and the chairs are sturdy, but the lamp is very flimsy as are some of the smaller accessories they constantly fall off the table which can be really frustrating at times. I like that the chairs are just the right size for Barbie dolls and that Barbies can "sit" without falling off...however, Barbies' legs don't fit very well under the table, so if your/your child's (children's) Barbie dolls have bendable legs it might be a good idea to bend them (the legs, that is). If the legs don't bend, you might want to put a chair with a Barbie in it a bit further from the table, especially if you are trying to place two dolls across from one another. Other than that, I think it's a great toy. My 5-yr old loves it and plays with it all the time she has a lot of fun rearranging plates, glasses, cakes, etc. It also turned out to be a lot more durable than I expected.

Great furniture for Barbie dolls. The best thing is that the table can be made wider by adding another piece in the middle of it and all of the furniture pieces can be taken apart and put back together easily, which is great for storing and putting them away.I felt the table and chairs were just too flimsy and fell apart too easily. Still, my daughter seems to be enjoying herself so I give it three stars... I believe Mattel could've done much better.

They are not overly waxy like the generic brands.
They color very nicely and are reasonably priced.
It's a nice size box to drop in a tote or travel bag take them to the park, the beach, or just for entertainment on the car ride. What truly amazing technology: You just press them to paper, and next thing you know, the color of the stick is right there on the paper. Then, you just press down another colored stick and then another and... Well, the possibilities are just endless!

This is a cute little tea set that not only includes the standard tea pot and tea cups, but it also includes candles, a serving tray, little snacks and salt and pepper shakers!!
It is made of plastic, as are most tea sets, so I think it will be very durable and survive many tea parties to come!! I am very happy with this purchase and I am sure my daughter will love this when she opens it Christmas morning!! :)
Lego Ice Bricks Tray
We will also be using it to make chocolate legos for a birthday party.
Sounds like fun.I got this mold to make molded crayons for a crayon recycle project at my sons school, but the mold was so cute, I decided to use it for edible objects! I have used it for molding chocolate lego bricks for our school store. I use every color chocolate and the results are adorable, I also got the lego minifigure silicone mold and that is equally cute and easy!!! kids LOVE them.
This mold is good quality and does a fine job for making ice, jello, gummy, or chocolate Lego-like bricks, but it is not Lego-branded and the bricks are not Lego-sized.The bumps are smaller relative to the overall brick size, and the bricks themselves are much bigger than standard Lego, yet not big enough to be Duplo.I have a comparison photo with a fondant brick made in this mold (blue) and a real Lego brick (yellow) here:
Decide what you need this for, because that'll make the difference to how happy you are with the outcome. Are you going to make candies for little kids? Then get it.It's easy, works well, and little kids aren't going to be pedantic about the size. Are you looking to make exact-replica Lego items for a teenager or adult who will notice and care? Then don't bother with it, because it's not accurate.
The minifig ice tray, by contrast, is an official Lego product and makes them to the proper scale. So if you have both, be prepared for them to not go so well together; the accurate minifigs will highlight the inaccurate proportions of these bricks. Then again, I promise if you make a bunch of Lego candies of both types and serve them at a six-year-old's birthday party, they will be delighted and not notice the difference.I purchased the Lego brick mold to make chocolates for my son's 7th birthday. It was really easy to use and so much fun. I've never molded chocolate before so that is a learning experience but the mold is simple and the bricks pop right out. After the birthday party, we'll continue to use this for ice or candies again.I purchased the lego brick mold to make candy and crayons for my sons 6th birthday. These were easy to make and fun to eat or color with.I used the tray in the oven at 300* to melt the crayons and they cleaned up easily in the dishwasher. When making the chocolate candies, make sure to tap the filled molds on a hard surface to remove any air bubbles. These were a big hit with the kids and the parents.I would recommend this product to anyone who loves legos.

Disney Cars 2 6" Lightning McQueen Plush Toy
My only complaint is that the fabric is a little coarse for an infant. It would be great if it were made of a soft fabric. That said, this will last forever very tightly sewn and evenly stuffed.
MY TAKE: Good quality, just not as plush as you expect baby toys to be these days. Could be improved.
