Harvil Tabletop Pool Table with Accessories
This is a pretty good pool table. It's small enough so that it doesn't take up much room in your home but big enough so that it's not trivially easy to pocket balls.To address another reviewer's concerns: The balls are a little small and this does mean that it's difficult to control english on the ball. Good position play is still possible though. The balls are pretty easy to get out of the pockets except when they're full (a pocket holds 7 balls). If you reach into the pocket with your palms facing the table (instead of away from it, which would be more natural), it's really easy to get the balls out. The reviewer must have had large hands or short fingers (no offense). To address her other concern, the balls aren't supposed to completely fill up the triangle (just like with the full sized pool balls and triangles); if they did, you wouldn't be able to remove the triangle without disturbing all the balls. What you're supposed to do is use your fingers to push the balls toward the front of the triangle and then hold them there gently while lifting away the triangle.
One thing to note is that there is no foot-spot or head-string on the playing surface and no markings on the rails. One more thing I want to mention is that I've had mine for a few weeks now and the felt around the pockets is already looking just a bit worn. I'm not sure if this is normal wear and tear or if we've possibly been scratching the felt with the cue (entirely possible).
Using the "Ghostball Aim" trainer I created and uploaded to Amazon(see customer image) is an easy and free way to improve without spending money on pool books. (You'll have to download the image and print it out to use it.) You can also cut away half (and a small semi-circle) of the object ball side and use it while playing without disturbing the balls.
Update: I forgot to mention that the pockets have a little hole on the bottom so that you can stick your finger in from underneath to push the balls up and make them easier to reach.Also, do yourself a favor if you buy/own this table (or any other mini-pool table) and get full-sized pool cues (sticks).It will feel more like real pool and help with your aim and stroke and ball control / position play.Get one with a smaller tip than the included mini-cues and you'll be able to control the cue ball better.One final word about the triangle: It is just slightly too big; when you push all the balls against the front, not all the balls will touch.I taped two pieces of cardboard (from a two-pack box of cereal) to one side with electrical tape and now it works perfectly.

I bought this for my six year old grandsons' birthday. I was very impressed with how durable and sturdy this product was. The only thing I didn't like was that there is only one pool cue and the picture shows two, other than that, it is a hit! He loves it and plays with it every day. Like another reviewer noted, I didn't like the rack because it was too large, but that is minor and it still works well. I recommend this for ages 5 and up. Fun for adults too.

Beck Children's Wooden Pencil Desk and Chair
This isn't necessarily a bad value at $35; it's cute but the craftsmanship is poor and the age description is misleading.The "desk," which is really a table with a drawer, wobbles. One of the screws that came with it (not one related to the wobbly leg issue) had a stripped head so I had to use my own. On the plus side, the pre-drilled holes all lined up.
My biggest gripe is that the manufacturer describes this desk as suitable for ages 36 months to 10 years. We'll be lucky if my average-sized five-year-old can use it for a year before either growing out of it or breaking it through normal use.I'd say it's sized for twoand three-year-olds.
I'd return it if it weren't a hassle to take it apart again and repack and ship it.
My toddler daughter likes it and the height of this table is just right for her.
I would recommend this product for anyone who is looking around for a cute and stylish wooden table for their young toddlers.

At first, I was a little bit skeptical about this product due to the one negative feedback about this product. But I decided to go with my instincts that it can't be this bad and decided to buy it anyway. To my surprise, I am very happy with this product. My daughter is almost 2 years of age and she seems to like this new desk and chair. It was also very easy to install from the packaging. The screws and pre-drilled holes all aligned properly and the fit for each piece of the furniture fitted together nicely. I also used a bit of carpenter's glue to glue the pieces together before screwing them onto each other. This way the table would be a bit more sturdier. This wasn't recommended by the instruction manual, just something I thought of.
Overall, this is a well made product for the price it's offered here.

This item had a toxic petroleum smell. I let them set out in the open for over a week and they still had the smell. I bought them to put into Halloween partty bags but did not use them. I was afraid that these items would be potentially dangerous to children because of the smell. I threw the entire package away. Waste of money.These spiders were just what my grandson wanted.They are strong and brightly colored. He uses them with his Gorilla Mountain and hangs them all over it!
Child Desk: My First Desk
I bought this for my 2.5 year old daughter thinking that we can take it on a plane. After giving a good amount of net surfing, I liked how colorful and practical the item was designed.She likes the side pockets to put crayons. The surface(desk) is not durable, the velcro on the back the rubber string came out unattached from the bag for the second time she opened and the 4 rubber straps on the desk to hold the papers arenot well designed rather simply exposed without a cover. I'll recommend to put only few papers.
This desk was not as good as I was hoping.It is not all that sturdy or durable and a child could bend it in half and ruin it easily. It is kinda small and also crayons or other objects roll off the sides into the child's lap or the floor.That being said, it is funtional as far as providing a flat surface to write on or eat on in the car, which I have to admit is all I bought it for.My 3 year old son actually really likes it and likes putting the crayons in the zip pockets on the side.I can't complain with the purchase overall, especially for the low cost.

I recently purchased multiple TableTopics TO GO, honeymoon packs for friends who were getting married. Indeed, many of these questions are so theoretical or just plain unimaginative that they aren't even worth answering. I bought this pool for my 18-month-old daughter, mainly because I was tired of patching the blow up pool.The pros of this product are the sturdiness, theumbrella,and the toys. The con is that the pool is really too small.The picture of the product shows achild whose legs are folded as she sits on the seat. If she were to stretch out her legs,they would cover much of the remaining surface area of the pool and that other child really would not fit in there with her! I would only recommend this product for a very small child who does not want to play with other children in the pool.
After searching many different pool styles for my daughter, I finally settled on this one. It's very durable and it's great because it comes with an umbrella to shade you. I don't have to worry about constant direct exposure to sun while playing in this pool. It's also great because we have a dog that likes to swim with my child. The dog can't poke holes in the bottom of pool. My daughter received this for her first birthday (pool says ages 2+), and loves it very much! It's a really great product and I would recommend it to everyone!

The pool is a ncie size for my 1 year old, he is able to get in and out easily and it appears quite durable.My only complaint is that there isn't a handle anywhere so you can lift it up to dump out the water, the pool lies flat on the ground and when full is a bit heavy. My son is 3 months shy of his 4th birthday and we just got this pool for him. He's had the Step2 water table since he was 1 and has gotten many hours of play out of it. So when the weather got warm this year it was the first toy he wanted out, but unfortunately he has literally outgrown the water table (he always loved climbing up to sit in it), well he's 42 inches tall and kept ending up tipping the water table over on himself. So we figured it was time to replace it with something else, of course this is what he picks out at the store. At first we were unsure, but he loves it. He's never really liked pools and always picks playing with his water table instead, so this fits the bill. It's basically a larger version of the water table without legs it can tip over on. I would even recommend this instead of a water table, since it's larger.So if you're "older" kid wants an actual pool then this would not be a good buy, but if your child is like mine and prefers a water table to splash around in a bit, then this is a great product. There's enough room where he can sit in there with his legs fully stretched out.

This table top is just what we were looking for. The padding to protect the pool table is perfect and it has a quality playing surface. Set up is easy. It is probably best with 2 people and easily managed by women or young adults. The net and paddles that came with the set allowed us to enjoy playing within 10 minutes after opening the box. The only caution is with delivery. Ours was delivered on time and for free which was awesome. It does come on a tractor trailer, 5 feet by 5 feet and strapped to a pallet. The weight getting it off the truck is 175lbs. Our driver did get it to the garage where we could open it and bring it inside in pieces.

Thomas And Friends Wooden Railway- Toby's Windmill
This has been a great addition to my 3 year old's train set.As with all the wooden Thomas toys, I found it a bit pricey, but my son plays with it so much more two other items with good reviews, Cranky Crane and the Water Tower.We've had it about 2 months, and the lever that turns the windmill gets a lot of use/abuse and has held up well.My son likes to put the barrels (as well as other items including small rocks and raisins!) that come with the cargo train through their chute at at the back of the windmill to load the train.We're very happy with this purchase.
My three year old son got this as part of a train table this past Christmas.He absolutely loves playing with the windmill.An easy-to-use lever operates the windmill and another lever drops barrels of flour into the special freight car.He can play with this, by himself (key!), easily.My only issue with the windmill itself is that the tower section feels wobbly.It doesn't seem to be a problem for my son.Overall a wonderful addition to his train table.

I purchaed one of the large Thomas the train sets for my son for X-mas, which we LOVE.What I felt it was lacking in the set, however, was the staples that you see in all the books or shows, such as cranky, the windmill, etc. so I began purchasing these for my son little by little.I mean if you're going to go with Thomas, you want to reflect the island of sodor in your layout, right?!We are thrilled with the windmill.As I wanted this train set to represent THOMAS and overall be a creative/manipulative this windmill fits my bill on both fronts.My son loves to pull the levers to start the windmill or to release the flour barrels.It makes him think a bit, rather then pushing a button!Also I was pleased to note that you can turn the top of the windmill so that you can fit it into any layout.Ours is acutally on a diagonal!It's nice to have a simple toy that makes for good/useful engine storylines in his creative play.

This is a great Thomas location.The large red lever is easy to manipulate and operates well even when pumped too rapidly or aggressively.The top portion rotates; clicking into 4 different positions.The mechanism for dropping the barrels from the loader into the included Barrel Car is wonderful.My son really enjoys this toy, and frankly, so do I.I wish the "Flour" barrels included magnets so that Cranky or Rocky could lift them out of the car, but otherwise this toy is wonderful.

This is a great toy, but allow extra time for opening the packaging.The windmill is literally screwed into blocks of wood (with screws that came pre-stripped) to prevent it from being shoplifted.
The windmill rotates eight points into the wind; there is a lever to roll the barrels down the ramp onto the waiting train car; there is a lever at the back to cause the windmill blades to spin.This is a great toy and worth the money -this was the main addition to our train set this year.Your children want to play with this.

this isn't QUITE my favorite lego set (the imperial flagship) but it is up there in the top five. i will have to look into more of the castle sets

Back in the 1980s, I was (a) rather smaller than I am today, and (b) totally obsessed with LEGO. I especially loved the medieval-themed LEGO sets, because knights are cool and I have a fondness for history. But even then, it bothered me that the medieval LEGO sets almost always consisted of castles, castles, and more castles (with the occasional catapult thrown in for good measure). I longed to build a huge medieval *village* for all these castles to protect; and here, a mere 30 years too late, is the village set that I craved as a child.Well, I guess it's a bit much to call this set a whole village's worth of LEGO. It consists of a tavern, a blacksmith's shop/stable, and a food vendor, so it's really more like a town square. But the buildings are wonderfully detailed and colorful, and if you arrange them carefully you can create the impression of a vibrant community. It helps that the set comes with a fairly generous compliment of LEGO minifigures and animals, including some very peculiar chickens. (Almost unbelievably, it also comes with what appear to be two LEGO "turds," which you're supposed to put on the floor of the stable!)
Building the set will be challenging for LEGO newcomers as there are a lot of pieces, many of them teeny-tiny. As is typical of LEGO, the pieces come in various bags that are not numbered or arranged in any kind of order; you'll need to open all the bags right away, dump their contents in piles, and hunt from pile to pile for the pieces you need at each step. This approach may annoy some people, but for me it's part of the fun and challenge of building a LEGO set.
In the final analysis, I think this is one of the best LEGO products out there. It has a level of detail and "class" that's missing from simpler sets, though it's perhaps not quite as nice as the expensive city sets like the Corner Cafe and the LEGO Emporium. Since LEGO sets have a tendency to drop out of circulation (and increase in price), I'd recommend picking this up ASAP if you're interested; and Amazon's current price of around $100 is indeed pretty good (I paid about $10 more for this at the LEGO store in Rockefeller Center).
