Steffy Wood Products Sand and Water Table with Top

Steffy Wood Products Sand and Water Table with TopWe tried the otherplastic sand/water table in the past. Didn't last longer than one season (we live in the desert). Sun bleached and looking sad after a few months. This table is different: made of sealed wood, it's on wheels, has a solid lid, drain hole, and can be used as a sand or water table for multiple kids at once. We filled ours with rice (got a huge bag from Costco), sunk dinosaur toys inside and used it an an excavating activity (sensory bin) at my daughters dinosaur themed birthday party. Huge hit with the kids. This table will last, unlike the inexpensive plastic models. My girls are 4 years apart so toy longevity is important to us.

Nilo Multi Activity Table

Nilo Multi Activity TableThis is an excellent product. We bought one for our 2-year-old son and it is infinitely superior to competitor tables (we looked at Thomas, Pottery Barn, Brio and similar).Things we especially like about it:

you can buy matching stools and huge trundle drawers for underneath.we have one drawer and two stools, which works perfectly so kids can sit at the table and still have the drawer underneath.

it is taller than the average train table to taller toddlers and preschoolers comfortably stand (and sit on stools) to play with it.

very, very sturdy and will last a long time.

You can also order longer legs for it as the child grows, so they can use it throughout childhood.

quite aesthetically pleasing too, not garish or cheap-looking like other tables.

Our son adores it and plays cars and trains on it for hours.

UPDATE:It is now 2.5 years later and the table is still proving to be the single best piece of furniture we ever bought... Our son is now 5 and still plays at it every day, and it still fits him comfortably. The stools have held up well and so has the table, which (apart from the addition of some stickers) looks like new.It really is an incredibly sturdy item.

Our baby (now aged 18 months) also loves this table and it was perfect for helping her learn to walk and balance she spent some time pulling herself up on the raised edge of it (which is rounded and safe, perfect for pulling up) and creeping around the edges of it until she learned to walk. Then she mastered climbing on and off the stools and sitting at it.Recently she mastered climbing on top of the table, which of course held her weight perfectly safely, so now she is on top of the world...

Butterfly TR21 Personal Rollaway Table Tennis Table (Green)

Butterfly TR21 Personal Rollaway Table Tennis TableWe love the table and it seems sturdy to hold up to our four boys.We

did not realize how many pieces it would arrive in it was a good four hours for assembly. Now that it is together we are thrilled.Sturdy and love the spot on the sides to hold the rackets and balls.

This table has pretty good bounce.I have been playing ping-pong for many years. This table is one of the best.

The assembly time is not that bad.Maybe 3 hours if you're fast. You only need a second hand when it's nearly done (almost the last step). But put the parts to where you want it to be first.

Got it shipped in a week, pretty fast.My 7-year-old likes it.We playeda lot in the basement already.

The bad thing is:

1) the net is 3 to 4 inches short. But I used a paper clip and a string to tie it up to the other end (the poles will accommodate you for strings).

2) one screw is missing, not very important, i just picked one from my toolbox.

All in all, very happy.Good price, good quality.

Oh My Concern at the 2 Guys that delivered this thing to my door. When they opened the back of the Van I saw a dent in the side of the packing...

Have No Fear, this thing is well packed and protected. It's Heavy though! Real Heavy, so make sure the Wife is around to help you shift it!

I agree with other reviewers. This thing takes a couple of hours to put together. Do it slowly and methodically as many of the nuts and bolts look VERY similar. I suggest sorting them and laying them out. There is a useful little measure on the instruction sheet which helps with the bolt sizes.

Anyway, once it's put together, it's a solid beauty. I've had it for a couple of months now and haven't had a decent game. Not because of the table but for the fact that, in my house is everyone's Crap at playing Table Tennis.

So if you're in the area with your bat............!

PS I would post a photo but heh, a Table Tennis Table is what it is. You know what it looks like.

OH! I almost forgot PS(2)....It comes WITH a net, which I didn't realise, and had ordered a net to go with it. The Net that comes with it is as sturdy as the table.....AND NO I'm not taking a picture of the Net either.

Most of the 18 prior reviewers seems to think the table was pretty easy to put together, and maybe it is if your of average handyness.Fortunately, you have me to give another perspective, the kind of person who, when putting stuff together, frequently has to go back two steps because he screwed something on backwards. While this review is mainly for those in the same boat and not for handy folks, hopefully it has a little something for everyone.Ok, installation:

(1) just diagrams, essentially no words.Diagrams are confusing at times.For example, there was a diagram with 4 steps listed on a single page, and I thought they were all connected -but no, steps 3 and 4 were to be done on another similar part and not part of a sequence with 1 and 2, where the part for steps 3 and 4 was slightly different from the part in steps 1 and 2.With my wife helping, there was a minimal degree of messing up a step and going backwards, but we still had a good amount of headscratch/debate time;

(2) screws are organized too frustrate you.For example, 3 sizes of screw, 40, 50 and 55 mm are in the same bag, unmarked, mixed together. While that would be bad enough, there are 2 separate bags with these 3 screw types mixed together.Maybe there is a reason for that (one bag for each table half?) but since there are no words on the directionswho knows? The directions have a little measuring thing, so your supposed to sort the screws yourself. There are also two similar looking types of washers that need to be unsorted, and my wife was having trouble telling them apart.

(4) there was one place where it tells you to use your hands to get a metal end cap to stay on.Maybe if you have Paul Bunyan hands, but otherwise a hammer is needed.If your like me, getting the confidence to do something not in the directions takes a while;

(5) there was one step where 2 large pieces of metal are supposed to overlap perfectly so you can screw them in.After 10-15 minutes, I realized I had done everything 100% correct and was convinced there was a manufacturing defect.Although I was entirely convinced it wouldnt work, somehow hammering did fix the problem.

(6) net is a little frustrating to set up -I got the net firm and stable, but I had to play with it to get that, and I dont think I did it right.Still, its stable and works fine.

On the plus side, my wife and I *were* able to put the table together, and if we can do it, you probably can too, no matter how weak your skills.Sure it took us 4 solid hours, and it would have been longer if we werent stopping each other from making mistakes, but its done, and it looks like we did it right.

Table itself seems of good quality (with the possible exception of the net, though after playing with the net its been stable for months), just knocking it down 2 stars for installation.

Tip for the weak:If your not real strong and have steps, just open the box in your garage and carry the table halves separately. Also allows for easier manuevering to get it around corners and such.Worked well for us, and we are on the weaker side of normal.

Random observation:While the table folds up really easily with no strength required, it doesnt make a perfect backboard for practicing by yourself as there is a pretty big gap between the upright table and the bottom table, meaning you'll lose balls into the gap.An advanced beginner and up can still practice that way, but its not viable for beginning kids -the gap will eat too many balls.Still, the easy fold-up is an obvious plus, and I have no idea if there are tables that fold-up without gaps.

This is a great table for the $$$!!Had heard many reviews of how hard these things are to put together, and it is true that it takes a while, but if you CAREFULLY follow the directions, all comes together perfectly.I pretty much put the thing together by myself just had to get my husband to help with the heavy stuff. All of the partswere well marked and fit together the way they should. The table seems real sturdy.Three hours after delivery, we were playing ping pong on our new table!

Theo Klein Bosch Adjustable Height Toy Workbench With Sound

Theo Klein Bosch Adjustable Height Toy Workbench With SoundMy 4 year old son would play with it in the toy store for two months before I have finally decided to get it for him (he has ton of toys and doesn't really appreciate them) for Christmas. He loves it and plays with it every day. Even my 1 year old daughter likes playing with it. Very easy to assemble. Big enough for the play, but small enough not to take too much space in the playroom.

nothing like picture my 2 year old loved it at first then got bored because there is nothing to build on or screw like picture has just a top with no holes

My son is 22 months and obsessed with taking things apart and reassembling them! This toy is absolutely perfect!!All of the assembly uses the tools and hardware in the kit, so he can take the bench apart and put it back together, and the tools are adorable and durable!I am veryhappy with this toy!

I am so disappointed in this toy.It is poorly made, the plastic is very cheap, there is nothing to hammer even though there is a hammer and nails, sound effects are lame, the tools are cheap and barely work, there is a "saw" but nothing to "saw", and the thing was complicated to put together.the vise barely works and the wrench is useless.don't waste your money!Bosch should be ashamed of themselves for putting their name on such a worthless toy.

Step2 Naturally Playful Sand & Water Center

Step2 Naturally Playful Sand & Water CenterBelow I'm going to cut and paste my first review of this toy, one I posted almost 3 years ago. My five stars still hold true although I have had some leg weakness since then (but we've owned the toy 6 years now and I've got three bigger kids--7, 5, 3--leaning on it in every direction as well as an 80 lb. labrador retriever who has taken to standing in it to look over the fence, ahem...anyway). I am about to rescrew new holes in each leg and the table and fill the legs with stand to make it stable again but it is completely worth it given the joy it has brought my children. The water cover is still 100% effective and the toy still looks practically brand new. I have bought one more new umbrella since my last review. So, that's two new umbrellas and some leg maintenance in 6 years. Not bad. I'm determined to keep it because it is a great place for us to do lots of messy science experiments and activities, as listed below, that are best kept outdoors.

Old Review from May 2007:

First of all, we have had this toy for 3 years and it still looks like the first day it came out of the box (in the BLAZING Texas sun). Also, it has been moved around too many times to count and is still as strong as ever. It's durable. Plus, it really does keep water out and the cover stays put tightly even through the most violent and windy thunderstorms. The umbrella is awesome, although I did have to replace it once due to weathering. I soooooooo don't care. Read on...

I'm on my third child now and if there is one thing I'm sick of, it's the toy that's a one-trick pony. I'm really looking for more versatility in a toy. That said, let me tell you why we will keep this toy until the kids outgrow it even though we also have an 8x10 ft. sandbox in the back yard. Sure, it's a sand and water table but we've done it all:

(1) sand alone

(2) water alone

(3) potting soil/trowels/silk plants/plastic pots

(4) landscaping stones and small Tonka construction vehicles (aka "the quarry")--sometimes the small trucks even deliver to the Tonka Mighty and it goes on for hours

(5) bubble solution to use with the large wands and even the small and different wands (so that the kids aren't fighting over the tiny opening of a tiny bottle of bubbles that inevitably gets spilled all over the patio)

(6) a Mommy-made iceburg (colored blue) on the hottest summer day with dollar store penguins and polar bears--you can even shave the iceburg to make snow (I used a putty knife) and put crushed ice (if your refrigerator makes it) in the water to make it a happier habitat

(7) dishwater and play dishes with sponges and scrubbers to play clean-up without making a mess at the sink like they do inside

(8) aquarium gravel/toys/plants with pretend fish

(9) sand over buried "fossils" (pretend dinosaur bones found at the local dollar store) -Put a small layer of sand on the bottom of the table, place bones all over that, add more sand to fill, then saturate all the sand with water and let it dry completely (left in sun, might take a day or two depending on temps). That way, they'll actually be able to kind of chisel the bones out instead of just easily moving the sand.

(10) sand sifters and dirt with various sizes of rocks that I spray painted gold -super fun day!

(11) measuring spoons/cups/jugs that teach lessons about volume -pair with bath color tablets to learn about color mixing!

(12) Did you know that Little People LOVE to go to the beach? (Off subject, they're also not opposed to a tumble in the dishwasher!)

(13) any number of arts and crafts activities that I would rather do outside than inside (making slime, papier mache, etc.)

(14) tin pans/muffin cups paired with dirt/sticks/water mud for mud pies

(15) sand castles, of course!

(16) dinosaurs and various animals add a tremendous amount of play value to your basic sand environment.

Well, that's all that I can remember doing in three years time as I sit here writing this review, although I'm sure there's more. As if all that isn't enough, this table is a great size. No elbowing for more space here. There's room for 6 kids. Yep, one on each end and two on each side. True story.

Do you miss sipping iced tea and reading a magazine or chatting with friends? It can happen again while your toddler plays happily and safely. I LOVE this toy. Can you tell?

One question you need to ask is do you want one side sand and one side water, or do you want two sides with mud?You should decide otherwiseyour kids will decide for you.

Seriously though, we have a 1, 3, and 5 year old and all three enjoy this.I'd say that ~8 years might be the upper limit at which point kids might start to get bored...

UPDATE:I'd still stick with ~8 years as the upper limit, ours are now 3, 5, and 8 and it's clearly the younger two that enjoy this the most. We're not on about our 5th year with this....

I'd recommend not filling the sand side up all the way as the kids enjoy it just as much with only an inch or less of sand. Also you end up buying sand less often this wayit seems universal that they DO NOT want to keep the sand on the table.

Note that there is a water drain ONLY on the "wet" side so you may have to bail the "sand" side out when they start moving the water around.

It came with a few boats, bridges, etc.Naturally, Hot Wheels and other toys will end up here.Consider adding a few empty yogurt cups, plastic utensils, etc to the mix. It's amazing how much fun and unstructured play they can have with these.

The umbrella is a nice touch as our deck is very sunny. If you don't need it for this toy you can still use it elsewhere as it's basically a beach umbrella with a shorter stick. The original umbrella is in a matching color, though if you need a replacement it seems Dollar stores sell one that is identical except for color. UPDATE: We bought another umbrella at Harbor Freight same style except it tilts for better sun protection.

My one complaint is that the top tends to collect water. It's designed to drain, but the top will sag, particularly because kids like to sit and stand on top.I put an empty yogurt container over the umbrella hole before I put the lid on and it helps prop up the top enough for (most of) the water to run out.

UPDATE: After ~5 years outside it had collected some algae and mildew on the lid and sides, but a quick blast of the pressure washer this spring cleaned it up and now it looks as good as new!

Otherwise very sturdy just like all Step 2 products.

I purchased this even after the reviews about leaks in the legs. The design really is a bit silly as there is no reason to have holes for the legs as you screw them in via the side. We put it together and it leaked, I took it apart purchased some sealant at my local hardware store and reassembled. No more leaks and my little girl (16 months) loves this table. We only put water in both sides as that's entertainment enough for her. We live in Texas and I'm afraid of snakes and bugs getting in, so once she's ready for sand the fact that it's not on the ground and has a cover will help. I can see how it would be a little heavy with sand if you need to constantly move it but overall it's a great product. If we didn't have to use sealant to get it to stop leaking I would have given it 4 stars.

We bought this last summer for my at the time almost two year old daughter. It was very easily assembled & we dumped a bag of sand in it for immediate play. The difficult part is the water because its so fun the kids love to mix the water with the sand (fine) and the sand with the water (messy). We have had to spray the water side out a couple times which is easy enough to do and let the water/sand mixture fall under the table through the drain. We've had this now for a year.It is very durable. We have no problem with the drain. The cover still works great (although is a little discolored from the sun/weather).Its still a hit.We would buy this again in a heartbeat! It is a gift that has been enjoyed by everyone!!!(oh...and this only requires 1 bag of sand to fill the sandbox the guy at the store told us it took 2 so we ended up with an extra one bag will be just fine!!!)

After much internet research, I went with this sand and water play table over several others, and I have been very happy with my choice. However, I do not have anything to compare to as this is our first (and hopefully last) sand/ water purchase. My daughter is 21 months.

Pros -

1) it is off the ground, which keeps it (and the child) a bit cleaner. Also safer with little ones, as they can't fall into it and drown. The pattern of roads through the water side also ensure they can't get their heads underwater.

2) The lid fits on well, and is secure even in storms.

3) the water side has a plug and is easy to drain. We've had no leaks, and we didn't even screw the legs on, just popped them in.

4) the umbrella is great, the height can be adjusted and it keeps her mostly in the shade all day.

5) the little enclosed toys are a perfect size for the sand and the water.

6) a perfect size for smaller children such as mine, though I suspect older children would find it a bit too small. Several children can be around it, we have had 4 year old visitors who loved it, and we have managed up to 4 children easily.

Cons

1) the sand and water WILL mix, and you will spend a lot of time emptying the water side and refilling it with clean water.

2) need to store the umbrella not a big deal but my daughter likes to wave the detachable pole around like a sword if I leave it under the table.

3) there is a tendency to tip the sand onto the floor, I guess if you are 2 and you have a shovelful of sand, you want to experiment with gravity, but it is messy!

4) pretty low table for an adult

Things that might help

1) matchbox cars fit the roads perfectly. Little kids soft tonka toys (those cute soft plastic ones with the faces) do not. This was a bit upsetting to my daughter as she wanted to make the cars go on the roads, and it took us a day or two to sort it out.

2) the sand side takes about half a 50lb bag of playsand. You could fill it higher, but then you will lose more over the edge. We just top it up as needed. You can buy a bag at Home Dept for 6 dollars.

3) normal beach toys are a little too big for the table, eg buckets. We use the digging toys (shovel, rake, castle mold) from the "Green Toys Sand Set" Green Toys Sand Play Set but the bucket is too big really. Other beach toys from Toys R Us, etc are way to big.

4) get a small stool for the adult play partner it makes the whole experience much more fun for you!

5) we use a spare silicon food loop Fusionbrands The Food Loop 15" Silicone Trussing Tool, Set of 4, Pink to hold the umbrella and pole together when folded. This has made it harder for my daughter to wave it around and keeps the umbrella neatly.

Magnetic Bases 25mm Round

Magnetic Bases 25mm RoundThese bases are great if you want to add your own minis to your games. I'm using them to rebase heroclix minis into D&D minis and they work great. The plastic tops are textured, unlike D&D minis, but it's probably better for the glue and it's not too distracting. The magnetic underside is a nice bonus, but a few required some minor cleanup around the edges. The circumference and thickness compare well to 'standard' minis and I'm very happy with the results.

Well, I actually thought I was getting regular bases for my warhammer models when I ordered these(I didn't really read the title), however to my delight these all have a magnetic strip on thebottom of them. they have a different texture to the original warhammer bases maybe made out of a different material, im not too sure but its close enough. 5 out of 5, thanks.

Trademark Poker 52-Inch 8-Player Octagonal Padded Poker Tabletop (Green)

Trademark Poker 52-Inch 8-Player Octagonal Padded Poker TabletopThe 1 star review below is absolutely incorrect. This product has the best solution I've seen for the normal crease in the middle of folding poker table tops. It has a solid piece of felt across the entire table, and the folding mechanism is actually an inch wide piece of wood that moves in and out of the rest of the table. As long as you make sure that wood piece is level with the rest of the table there is virtually NO gap or indent in the playing surface.

The felt is fairly high quality with padding beneath it to make picking up cards easier. However, it looks like with enough folding and unfolding there could be some problems with the felt wearing out/tearing along the fold (that's not really an issue for me since mine will be set up permanently).

The only reason I didn't rate this product 5 stars is that there was some slight tearing of the felt where the table's fold meets the arm rests when I received it, and the felt is darker than I would like (and darker than the picture makes it out to be).

I had purchased a less expensive top made by this manufacturer on sale at a local discount sporting goods store. It folder four ways, which I knew, but it was just plain cheesy and not al all worth the sale price of $40, I'd not have even paid $20. I share all this so you'll understand that my expectations were low and only took a chance based on other reviews.

When the item arrived I felf for sure that it would be damaged. The carrier did all they could to destroy it, and I've no idea how it survied undamaged, but it seems to be fine.

This poker table top is lovely. The felt has a lot more cushion than I imagined it would. It's so pretty I almost hate to use it.

Yes, it measures 52" from corner to corner. Not a surprise televisions are measured the same way.

Yes, it has a crease it does fold in half after all.I give the manufacture full marks on how level and seamless this area is. I don't know how they did it.

I am sensitive to odors and noticed nothing unusual in that regard.

There are some cons. There's an area of the vinyl that has something on it, perhaps adhesive. It looks like it will rub off, especially if I add some furniture polish. I don't consider thist a reason to return it. Based on comments made by others, the replacement top would likely have some other issue. This one I can live with.

The gap at the padded edges is wider than I thought it would be, but that's okay, I'll sit there if it bothers anybody (smile).

I agree that care should be taken when moving it about and opening and closing it. The bag will work for a dust cover, but I don't recommend actrually carrying it by the handles often or very far. We're going to be extra cautious with moving it about so as to do our best to not damage the fold in hopes that the crease remains as unoticible as it is now.I recommend opening it smaller side up and only after you have it in place.

The damage scare is manufacturer's fault, but Amazon chooses who they contract with for their shipping needs. I shop on Amazon and others quite often and I rarely get anything from this carrier that doesn't look as though it was drop-kicked from one point to another.

I am really quite pleased with this poker top. The only reason I rate it at four stars is the residue on the vinyl that we have to remove and for the scare that it was damaged by the carrier.

The biggest problem is that in order to be able to fold it there is a gap of about a quarter inch covered with the cloth that is far from smooth.Cards can flip over if dealt in a way that catches it.I returned the product.

I purchased this table top as a finish to poker table that I've build for my brother's "man's cave". It's nice when it comes to quality of materials used but it could be of better built. It had a minor flaw, wrist resting lem was showing about 1/2 an inch of base plywood right where the table folds, but it was too easy to fix (little bit of glue and staple pin) for it to be a problem. Certainly more convenient choice than building the top myself. Would buy again.

UPDATE:

After a year and some months of weekend use, the table is worn, I mean really worn. The wrist pad is showing base foam and the middle bend is all but straight (it's attached permanently to a solid base so it has nothing to do with it being transported or put away frequently). For the money I guess we have gotten the use out of this table top, but I'm not so certain I would buy it again as I was when I bought it.

The table is great. Some people complained about the "bump" in the middle but its hardly even noticeable. My biggest complaint is that the packaging was bad and the table got wet during delivery. There was also a small tear in the padding. It has a bit of a nasty smell from the fake leather padding cover but it fades if you let it air out for a bit.

The table definitely makes poker night a lot more fun.Recommended in spite of the complaints.

The underside frame was loose and the nails were sticking out, I had to glue and clamp it.

Surface is warped.

All I wanted was a small shuffle/bowling game for the kids, but i guess quality is too much to ask for these days.

This is a really good sturdy shuffle board. The pucks move across really well and I couldn't ask for anything more. You won't regret it. Not sure why the other guy bad review, maybe his broke in the shipping, but mine was perfect.

Can You Imagine Time Machine Tabletop Clock

Can You Imagine Time Machine Tabletop ClockI had always wanted one of these, and finally got one a few years ago. I'm still very fond of it, but I rarely plug it in. It's fine if you're actually sitting and watching it, but there was nowhere I could put it in my house that the incessant clunking of balls wouldn't drive me nuts the rest of the time.Don't even *think* about putting one of these in a bedroom, unless it's occupied by somebody with severe hearing loss. Other than that, though, these clocks are fascinating and great fun.

I had the original ball clock back in the mid-70s but it didn't survive a move so when this version came out we bought a couple this time.

Unlike the original, you don't have to put it together, which was a positive. Also unlike the original, the arm doesn't move constantly, which turns out to be both a positive and a negative. On the positive side, the arm moves faster than one revolution a minute, which means it is less likely to drop a ball, which happened often with the old clock. On the negative side, the gearing that keeps the arm stationary for most of the minute failed after 9 months, rendering the first clock useless. The arm moves constantly now, picking up several balls per minute.

The second clock was found to have been put together slightly off true, so the balls get stuck in the vertical tube instead of rolling to the pickup point. So neither clock works now and they're not worth sending back for fixing, although I might try to swap the motors to see if I can get one good clock out of the pair.

Read Best Reviews of Can You Imagine Time Machine Tabletop Clock Here

I got this clock and after reading the reviews I would like to suggest a few steps that will lower substantially the mechanical noise of this clock.

As most people say, this clock is very noisy, and I must agree, so, I decided to improve the noise level and the result is a much improved overall noise level. One must keep in mind that this is a device that is made of plastic and has dozen of steel balls circulating on its troughs, so, don't expect it to be as quite as a conventional clock.

First thing to improve the noise level is to set the clock on top of a soft pad to minimize the vibration of its structure with a hard surface, like a glass top or wood.

Second, fill all the empty space underneath the clock with plastic foam (as the one used in computer packaging or even a kitchen foam sponge). To do so, remove the batteries, remove all the balls and flip the clock over, and you'll see many empty spaces underneath. Cut pieces to fit snugly into the empty spaces until everything is filled with foam. Flip the clock back to its working position on top of the pad, place the balls in the proper places to show the correct time and replace the batteries and their cover.

Very important, always use this clock with the plastic cover that came with it. This cover has two notches underneath the top that hold the motor tower on the right position, thus avoiding a misalignment of the moving arm that catches the balls.

Martin Kilpatrick 3/4-Inch Pool Table Conversion Top

Martin Kilpatrick 3/4-Inch Pool Table Conversion TopThis is a great table. It is very sturdy and is of high quality materials.Comes in two pieces that has built in connectors to keep the table from separating during play.Just place one half of the table on top of your pool table and then place the other half on the table as you guide the two interlocking plastic connectors together.Extremely easy to install.Easy to install the net too.I set up the table in less than 5 minutes. The only drawback is that the table is heavy so you'll probably need help lifting.Amazon's delivery service was great too.The freight truck company called me to set up the delivery and delivered it on the Sunday before Christmas. They brought the 120 lb. box into my garage without any complaints.I then took the table out of the box and then carried it into my basement for installation.Martin Kilpatrick 5/8-Inch Pool Table Conversion Top

In reflecting on my experience with OnlineSports, I can honestly say that it was the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

They engaged in what was essentially a bait and switch tactic several days after purchase, they reported the table I wanted as unavailable (despite being reported as available on the website) and pushed another table on me.

The website stated that my kids would get it for Christmas. Instead, the delivery took over 1 month and arrived on January 11. After all this, the customer service agent Alex insisted that in addition to my $115 shipping and handling fee, I should pay additional money to have the table taken out of the delivery truck (this was not stated anywhere on the website). Alex showed no capacity for empathy regarding the disappointed look on my children's face on Christmas, repeatedly told me that the customer service I was provided was an "A+", and explicitly stated it was my fault that I was not satisfied with the service because my expectations were too high. After feeling extremely insulted by my long conversation with Alex, I agreed to pay for the shipping and handling ($115) if they would simply cancel the order; he stated that I would also have to cough up an additional %15 of the price of the item.

I left messages with supervisers, but never received any return phone calls. Best to avoid this company if at all possible.

Very good product. Well made. However, I went with this model because my pool table is a regulation 9' (50" x 100" playing surface)and this was supposed to be for oversize tables but it still wasn't large enough to fit.I had to remove the metal edge around the bottom perimeter of the table so that it would work. I am satisfied with the table now that I modified it and I don't think there is another conversion top available that will fit without some trouble, at least not at a comparable price. After shopping around I can say this was by far the best deal especially with the free shipping from amazon.

We wanted a good table top for a good price and that is what we got.The delivery was super fast and everything we ordered as separate items for the table arrived on the same day through three different delievery methods. The table top is a beautiful color and was packaged well enough to make up for the ding in the packaging which scratched the underneath but no biggy. The net sets up well and the whole table fits perfect over our pool table.

This table is excellent quality. Fits perfectly over our 8 foot pool table. The green is a deep, dark color that really makes it look substantial. The table is so easy to assemble just slide the two pieces into the respective slots on the opposite ends and the net poles slide right in. The net fits taut and is not plastic. It is packed very well. The box had a huge dent/hole and the table was untouched. It comes with protective plastic over the top so no scratches. Very pleased with this purchase. And free shipping was awesome!

My Little Pony - Rainbow Flash with Baby Pony - Super Long Hair Pony

My Little Pony - Rainbow Flash with Baby Pony - Super Long Hair PonyThe pony is great except she does not come with the baby pony that is pictured.I had to send it back because, the baby pony was the reason I ordered this pony to begin with.I just wanted to let future buyers know not to expect the baby pony with it.

Got this pony for my little girl and although it came quickly there was no baby pony. So please, DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!! IT IS NOT INCLUDED!!!! I thought maybe they had forgot to pack it until I read everyone elses reviews. Should I say more, next time... I will read the reveiws instead of being so impulsive in my purchases which I sometimes do. I'm going to keep the pony, but please, remember to read what others have to say first!!!...And I am talking about myself mostly.

When we saw the Ponies with their babies we had to find them all (I think 4 sets in all, but I've never seen the Toys R Us exclusive anywhere). My 3 year old loves to have them kiss & play! She makes a pony dady, mommy and baby and plays family with them.

They are very soft so I don't worry as much when she runs accross the house carrying them.Since they are not the hard cast plastic, I know the pony and her will both be unscathed after a tumble.

Her 4 yr boy cousin is so jealous he can;t have ponies and loves to come over and play with the castle and all her ponies (18 in all!), it's pony heaven at our house.

I have noticed that the ponies that have glittler fibers in their hair get a lot more snags and stuff. Our solution is to braid the super long manes and tails and put the pretty barrettes in.We even got more barrettes from teh dollar store just for the ponies!

the free baby ponies were just a promotion and no longer included. So what! this pony is wonderful just the way it is, it has more accessories and much longer hair then the normal ponies (hence the name "Super Long Hair" that's why it's like a dollar more.in my opinion it's totally worth it as one of the most fun things about my little ponies is brushing and styling thier soft hair.My daughters love her and the other Super Long Hairs anyway _free_ baby ponies or no.

Drueke 907.00 Roll Up Chess Board with 3 3/4-Inch Chessmen

Drueke 907.00 Roll Up Chess Board with 3 3/4-Inch ChessmenDrueke is a great name in chess and cribbage gear, so I bought this sight-unseen online.I was most disappointed. The mousepad style floppy board was great. The carrying bag was great. The style of the pieces was good. The problem was that the weights are not all glued in very well. There were a few that rattled around.I returned it and bought the Plastic Collectors set from House of Staunton.I'll never go back. The detail, finish, and build quality are all superb.I have other Drueke chess sets and was not disappointed. They really need to go back to their old (high) stnadards of quality control.Apparently, this is what happens when you pack up and move manufacturing to China...

Great board.Very nice pieces. The quality of the game is up to you.

I purchased this chess set for my son and I.My aim was to get a functional chess set to play games at home, where the board and pieces were large and easy to see and felt stable.I was not looking for a beautiful chess set to leave out on display.I am please very pleased with my purchase.

The roll up board is the same material as a mouse pad.It is heavy and stable. It does not slide on the table and pieces feel more secure than on wooden or cardboard surfaces.

The pieces are much larger and heavier than out old set. They have a nice substantial feel.Though they are not as attractive as carved wooden or stone pieces but they are easy to recognize and seem durable.

The board and pieces are well matched for size with the board not seeming crowded making it a little easier to see moves on board.

The case is quite functional. It is made with the same material as my kids backpacks for school. It appears sturdy and well made but certainly not fancy. It has zippered two compartments which hold the black and the white pieces. The board and pieces fit with some room to spare for a small chess clock,a couple of paperbacks and a couple of bottles of water.

Over all I am please with the purchase and would recommend it to a friend.

Little Tikes Market Umbrella

Little Tikes Market UmbrellaThis umbrella can be used with lots of other playsets, not just the Little Tikes brand. We use ours staked in the ground next to our Step 2 Naturally Playful sandbox/wading pool and we take it along and use it with his folding plastic chair that has an umbrella hole and clip. Great for hot days at the pool, beach or just hanging around in the backyard. It comes with a storage/ carry bag that has a carrying strap for over-the-shoulder hauling around, too. It has a wind vent at the top, but I would still close it at night or take it indoors if you have high winds, since it is a petite size and weighs less than similar full-size versions sold to adults. Nice forest green color and white pole and finial; the fabric is heavy-weight and overall the umbrella seems well-made. A great buy at this price.

This umbrella looks great with the table but it's a little too small to provide adequate shade for my toddler and her friends.I wish it was bigger.

I ordered this umbrella to go with the Little Tikes table that we already owned. It was advertised as being the umbrella that went with the specific table. When we tried to set up the umbrella, it did not fit into the hole on the table. We had to use a saw to cut out the oversprayed plastic on the table and then use a board and hammer to get the stand to fit into the hole. Now we can not get the stand back out, so we have to leave the stand in all the the time and just attach the umbrella when we need it. It was not at all what I had hoped for, but I suppose it still serves its intended purpose.

We've had this umbrella for about 2 years now and it's held up beautifully. It stays outside all year round (we don't get snow and lately we don't get rain either, but I digress). We do keep the cover on it when we're not using it. The cover has faded, but it's still in good shape. My kids love to make it go up and down.

Lego Compatible Heavy Duty Table-27"x27"-MADE IN USA-Solid Legs and Side Frames-Built to Last-Made

Lego Compatible Heavy Duty Table-27'x27'-MADE IN USA-Solid Legs and Side Frames-Built to Last-Made in the USAThis table was given to my 4 year old for his birthday. The minute he saw it, he sat down and started playing with it. He just loves it. It has plenty of room for two or three kids to play and both the duplos and regular legos fit on the table. My only complaint is that the table is VERY short. I also have an 8 year old son and he plays at the table just as much as my 4 year old. We cannot find chairs small enough to fit under this table. I guess they think kids will stand to play, but my kids want to sit and even our smallest kids chairs(from Step 2) do not fit under the table. I think I will have to buy some wooden blocks to extend the legs so we can fit chairs under there. Other then the height, this is a fantastic table for kids of all ages.

I bought this table for my two year old granddaughter about 6 months ago.It is very nicely built, colorful, and strong. She and her younger 14 month old sister, play with it every day. They love it and the pocket in the center is very convenient to store the pieces. They also climb on it but it's so sturdy that it still looks "out of the box" new.Perfect addition to the playroom.

This Lego table is beautifully crafted from REAL wood (hard maple) and made in the USA. It may seem expensive, but if you consider it will last for many years it's worth every penny. Every other brand Lego table I found were made from cheap particle board with flimsy legs that would probably break off the first week. This table is solid like a well crafted piece of furniture and the kids love it! Thank you very much for taking pride in your product!

Plan Toys Plan Toy Balancing Cactus

Plan Toys Plan Toy Balancing CactusThis is a fantastic toy, one of my favorites in the Plan Toys line, and we own more than a few of them. I don't mean just fun for the kids; my husband and I like playing with it also!

My children, two and four, were immediately taken with it. We haven't yet played it as a 'game' but that's really just a bonus interpretation of its uses anyway. It's fun to just stack it in really precarious ways (ie. those other than what's pictured) and see how long you can keep it from toppling while building it up as tall or wide as possible. If you were to build the cactus, as is pictured, it is very attractive and proves to be quite stable. This is nice for shelving the toy when I'm too busy to supervise my youngest with it. The real challenges are not in building what is expected, but are self-imposed; pushing the limits of what can be balanced atop this generally stable base.

This toy/game consists of a total of 19 pieces that fit together with a peg-and hole system. Each progressively smaller piece has less holes, and the coral-orange pieces have no holes, and so cannot be built upon. Another reviewer mentioned that the pegs fit loosely in the holes and this is true. A piece will often swivel downward from the weight of a successive piece. This doesn't bother me, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Here are the pieces that come with this set, and their measurements (information that seems difficult to come by per my observation before ordering):

1 Unfinished Wooden Base (5 holes): 3.5" tall x 2.5" (widest point at top) 1.5" (at bottom)

3 Large Dark Green Pieces (3 holes): about 3.25" tall x 1.75" wide

3 Medium Green Pieces (2 holes): 2.75" x 1.5"

3 Medium (Slightly Lighter) Green Pieces (2 holes): 2.75" x 1.5"

3 Small Red Pieces (1 hole) 2" x 1"

3 Small Yellow Pieces (1 hole) 2" x 1"

3 Small Coral-Orange Pieces (0 holes) 2" x 1"

Of note, especially with the many reviews stating that kids under three love this toy, is that the age recommendations are spot on. If you allow a younger child to play with this toy, it is important to be mindful of the fact that the smaller pieces are precisely the right size to cut off their airway if they were to accidentally swallow one.

Other than that already assumed issue I think this is a wonderful toy with the potential to be enjoyed by young and old alike.

I purchased this product for my twin 3 year olds. They love it! They play with it every day.My only complaint is that the pieces seem to fit less snug after lots of use so the pieces turn as you add a new piece but I would absolutely buy this again based on this purchase. My twins love building the pieces as high as possible and I know they are learning in the process. Great toy!

I picked up this toy on a whim because I love simple, durable wooden toys and the cactus shape was so novel.I wasn't fully expecting that my toddler (26 mos) would take to it as he has, but it truly is one of his favorite toys. He loves to try different combinations and when it topples is eager to "try again."He seriously will play with it for an hour.I also love that it teaches cooperationit's been a great vehicle for teaching my toddler the foundations for social game-playing.I use the cactus to teach "my turn" and "your turn," and now he uses this language as well and LOVES it. Honestly the best toy I've found in monthswish other toys were such a hit for him. Fun and educational!

My daughter's one and a half and she adores this toy. She got the concept quickly and easily, though she doesn't understand the 'game' aspect of taking turns, she enjoys stacking the pieces and it keeps her well occupied.

Not only that, the design is beautiful and the craftsmanship is top notch. We really love this toy. I'll be buying more from this company.

Magic: the Gathering - Pacifism - Magic 2012

Magic: the Gathering - Pacifism - Magic 2012Whenever your opponent has a very, very strong creatures out on the battlefield, then all you have to do is simply play Pacifism! Pacifism comes very handy against milling, defensive, of somewhat in the middle types of decks. The price, shipping, and mana cost are all excellent for the card, and I highly suggest buying from Wizards of the Coast, they're great! Although the card is a of Common rarity, it is still very good for stopping those other devastating creatures that your pesky enemy controls!!!

The New Touch: A Game of Sensory Perception & Memory

The New Touch: A Game of Sensory Perception & MemoryThis is a great game and very enjoyable for my child. It says ages 5 and up, but he is 4 and loves to play this game. You can order the expansion packs and misplaced/missing pieces on the board game's website www.thetouchgame.com.They will send you missing pieces and cards at no charge.Other items you might need are at an additional cost.

I bought this for Christmas so we could try a different sort of game. As another reviewer mentioned, the directions were sort of vague.

The gamepiece is a big plastic thing that looks like a flying saucer. On one side there is a hole for your hand (draped in a plastic material, so you can't see), on the other side there is a window. On the top, there is a 30 second timer. When the timer is on, a light comes on inside of the flying saucer so that anyone looking through the window can see what is going on.

The game comes with cards and pieces. The game cards have sets of pictures on them. For example, a sea creature card would have a picture of a seahorse and a squid on it. You spread these cards around the flying saucer, face down, then put the corresponding pieces (i.e. the seahorse and the squid) inside the flying saucer.

To play the game, you spin a ring around the bottom of flying saucer. The ring has a pointer on it, and whichever card it stops on, you flip over. Set the timer, then stick your hand into the flying saucer and feel around for the objects shown on the card. It's not clear to me whether you are supposed to get all of the items listed on a card in 30 seconds or just one of them.

We've had to change a few rules. We only use half the cards and items. My five-year-old doesn't like the timer. It doesn't ring or anything, it just makes him nervous so we don't use it for his turn. And we allow one do-over per turn. My kids (ages 5 and 7) can play this together (without parents present) without fighting. They focus more on the fun of feeling around for the objects or helping each other by saying "hot" or "cold" than they do on winning or losing. Sometimes they even play by themselves.

I feel like it's money well spent, because The Touch is both a game and a toy. The materials appear to be good quality too.

I teach a preschool class and many books tell you to "put items in a bag and have the kids identify them using only touch".This game is that and so much more! There are many cards you use and each has pictures of 2-4 items in that category you need to find.In the beginning, you should only use 1/2 of the items/cards as it is REALLY hard for kids AND adults. You spin the spinner and whatever card you land on is the one you need to find objects for.You set the 30 sec. timer and reach in to try to find the items using only touch. The back of the container is see-through, so the rest of the players can see where you are reaching. To be honest, I thought it would be really easy for adults, but my 6 year old is doing better than several adults who have tried it.It works the right side of your brain, so "right brained" people will definitely have an advantage, but it's fun for all ages!

I was extremely excited to receive this game for my 5 year old son (on the cusp of 6), unfortunately I was quickly disappointed. The basic idea of the game is to use "touch" to find pieces that match a game card. The problem really revolves around the quality of the game. This may be an individual issue in that I received the one and only crap version--who knows? The large blue unit itself doesn't seem to reflect how the game will truly be played, which is with a small hand scrambling about to find pieces. If the makers intended a grown adult to play with the child, this was not incorporated into the design.Anyone with large hands would find the game annoying-I am in the medium range and I had to hold the lid on to keep the unit together while I "searched" for pieces. The timer didn't work. The game pieces were sticky, as if they were just freshly painted.I really wanted to like this game, the concept is so neat.We played the game a total of 2 times before I finally shelved it for a garage sale. Also, be prepared to need space for this game, the cards spread out around the blue housing, which you have to spin to get a card--another awkward issue about the game.

I bought this game for me and my 9 year old daughter to play.I was a little hesitant as the kids in the graphic look really young...thought it would be too easy.We had a really fun time playing it and it was challenging enough for both of us.It also includes variations on game play as well for degrees of difficulty.Good purchase.

The Hobbit Legolas Greenleaf An Unexpected Journey 3.73" Figure

The Hobbit Legolas Greenleaf An Unexpected Journey 3.73' FigureMy grandchildren love this figure and they are 8 and 6. It is well made and hard to find anywhere else

Anything better would be bigger and probably more expensive. If you have similar toys you know what to expect pretty sturdy, accessories and hair/clothes tough and flexible, difficult but not impossible to get him to stand on his own. I don't like it when the toy's face looks totally wrong and this Legolas looks pretty close to the movie one, especially considering the size.
