Giraffe Chair

poor paint/coating quality. Scratches, dents, and abrasions on the backrest of the chair where the face of the animal is. Amazon replaced this product quickly but same issue with the second delivery. Looked as if the manufacturer's kids have used these chairs for some time themselves. I'd expect a better quality when ordering a brand new product.

The design, though, is just great. Our kid loves it. So we decided to keep it but to repaint the damaged areas ourselves.

We purchased the giraffe chair along with the lion and the zebra chairs and the assorted jungle table. We love it! it is easy to assemble. the size is perfect for our toddler and he sits there anytime he plays with his "laptop" or while drawing. I like the colors and the wooden material. Unlike the other reviewers, our set came without a dent or scratch.

Table Tennis Game Set

This was cheap, so I wasn't expecting a lot, but I'm disappointed. The paddles are decent, not great, but seem sturdier than I would have expected for the price. The two ping pong balls are pretty bad. They have imperfections and one has something rattling inside. So plan to buy separate balls. The biggest disappointment is the net. The quality is great, the height is great, the clamps even work (my number one concern) for the most part. The box says it will fit most tables. But here's the thing: it would definitely not fit a ping pong table. Go figure. Now, I'm not trying to use one, but I am trying to use a relatively large table (perfect for makeshift ping pong) and the net is six inches short. I was able to make it work, but there's no net for 1/6 of the table, just two strings holding it up. So if you have a tiny table, you'll love it, as long as you buy your own ping pong balls. I would have spent a little more to get something better, though, if I did it all over again.

I have had fun playing with this set. A good item to have so you can convert your dining room table to ping-pong/table-tennis play.

Leapfrog Leap's Phonics Railroad

I love this toy!We have not had any problems with the wrong letters like the other reviews.Maybe they have made an improvement. My 3 year old just thinks it is a lot of fun, but Mommy love that he is learning so much.He sings the song with the train so he is learning all of this letter sounds. He is even learning vowels because whenever you put one the the train, he chimes in the leaps voice and says "vowel aboard"

I have recommended this toy to anyone who would listen!I absolutely love it!

If you have boys, get this train! It is SO educational but durable.Ours has been dropped, kicked, sat on, you name it and it just keeps on going. The only problem with this toy is that you probably need to get the rechargable batteries since it requires so many and they really don't last very long unless they're Duracells (yes, there really IS a difference). This toy is just adorable and my other complaint is that I wish they would make more track and more blocks to put into the caboose.

Buy Leapfrog Leap's Phonics Railroad Now

We bought this for our son who just turned 2. He loves it, though he's not currently interested in some of the features; he basically just wants to listen to the music and sounds and watch it go around the track. My slightly lower rating for durability is based on "touchiness," not actual longevity of the product--the detachable car with frog characters comes off easily and the train gets off track somewhat easily. But overall I think this is a great first train set and, hopefully, an introduction to letters for my son.

I FOUND THAT THE BLOCKS WHEN INSTALLED WOULD NOT READ THE CORRECT LETTER. THIS IS NOT GOOD WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO EDUCATE YOUR TWO YEAR OLD.

hey everybody....My 2 yr old received the phonics train for christmas and we set it up right away.Well out off the box the train did not function like it was suppose to, it was singing the wrong letter than the one that was showing and none of the blocks we responding correctly.I returned it and searched for another.we finally found one and brought it home.It only worked properly for about 30 hr then it began to do the same thing as the one we returned.I called Leap Frog customer service and filed a complaint, the agent told me the engineers would take a look at my complaint and if no one called me back in a month to call them back...Hello, I have a two yr old he wants instant results and a toy that he can play with..I took it back and opted for another toy..

Folkmanis Mini Raccoon 5in Finger Puppet

Kids just LOVE them! Nothing makes a bedtime story more interesting than having their stuffed-animal friends participate in them and give them a goodnight peck in the end.

It is never easy teaching our children the facts of life, cause and effect, decisions and consequences, rights and responsibilities. These finger puppets make it just a tad easier.

Accurate and durable (not for unsupervised preschoolers though, they might bite off parts), I am sure you will find them precious too.

I have a set of seven (a field mouse, a raccoon, a fox, a timber wolf, an owl, a black bear and a white bear) and I alternate them to keep things interesting. The owl makes only...rare appearances.

RECOMMENDED!

This finger puppet was of much higher quality than one would imagine for a toy of this nature. It's a far cry from a basic fabric finger puppet:very plush and dimensional and appealing.Beyond its entertainment value, this is a great item for someone seeking a small stuffed animal toy for a cute gift for any age recipient.

I'm not a parent, but I play one on TV. Well, not really on TV, but as a ski patroller I often have little kids as patients on the slopes and in the first-aid shack. Frustrated by my self-perceived need to entertain them during and after treatment, and my failure as a ski patrol comedian, I decided to look for something small that I could carry in my patrol pack to distract them from reality. I decided on the Folkmanis finger puppets and you know what? It's worked out quite nicely ... except for the fact that I can't get them back from the little thieves when it's time for them to leave my world! I burned through a beaver, raccoon, red squirrel, and turtle just this last winter alone. So ... they are well made ...I give a really high rating on the cuteness factor, especially the red squirrel, which is the best of them ... kids through 10 years old seem to love them ... and they give you that look if you try to ask for them back .. so I just have to stock up!

Abby Cadabby Plastic Tablecover

We had an Abby Cadabby themed first birthday party for my daughter. This was used for the cake table of the banquet hall and really was a great detail that added to the Abby theme. The plastic was heavy and durable. In fact, Iwill reuse it for a tea party for her some day!Great quality and fun colors.I wish there was a way to remove the packing folds, but that was a small detail that didn't diminish its cuteness.

Gund My1st Teddy Blue 10" Plush

The perfect gift for a friend with a new baby when you do not know what to send to the new baby.It is soft, baby safe and the perfect " first beat".

My son received this bear when he was born.At 1 year old I allowed him to start sleeping with the animals he liked...this was one of many.I'm sure the directions say "surface wash only" but I wash EVERYTHING on his bed once a week.He is now 2 ½ and this bear looks great! It has been washed in the washer and dried once a week for a 1 ½ years! Not a rip in the seam or stuffing out of place. So satisfied with the outcome that I bought an extra, just to be safe in case it finally succumbs to the pressure!Definitely get your money's worth out of this toy!

These chairs have lasted nearly two years now and are still going strong. They are pretty easy to keep clean/wipe off. We bought them for our toddler daughter's room.

I received this item on time. It was exactly as described. It was easy to assemble. My 4 year old loves this. I, also, bought the matching table.

Really cute (in the pictures) very poor quality. One of the pieces was already broken before I even opened the box. One of the legs was broken off on one end. The part that fits in a groove on the underside of the seat that is then held in place by an "H" shaped piece that holds the leg in place. NOT REAL WOOD, just composite (basiclly sawdust glued together) knew this when I bought it. Totally regreat my purchase. Will buy real wood next time. Doubt it will last even a year, will then be replacing it with something that will last longer.

Alex Toys Little Hands, Clay Pictures

My daughter was just given this for her third birthday, and though she seemed content to play with it, it seems like a toy with very limited use. The clay that the kid is supposed to stuff in the plastic mold is very stiff, and the small holes in the mold make it difficult for someone of her age to push in neatly. She smooshed the clay as best she could, but without my help she could not possibly make the picture look like it does on the box. If she were old enough to work the clay to make it supple and then carefully stuff the holes, I'd think she'd be old enough to be bored by this not-very-creative toy. To use the mold more than once, you must carefully pull the clay from the holes and try not to make the colors mix.

The clay alone would be more fun; don't bother with this if you have small children and don't want to "help" them do the whole thing.

I don't think this is too hard for a 3 or 4 year old to do, but my issue is that some of the colors of clay do not work at all.The blue and green color were completely hard, and when you try to use them for the picture, they just crumbled like dried out play dough.Didn't seem to happen with the other colors.Just 2 of the colors. Not cool.

Buy Alex Toys Little Hands, Clay Pictures Now

I agree that the clay is hard. Harder than it should be and yes a kid won't be able to make it without assistance. That said it does provide great practice for fine motor skills. My son was engaged with it for quite sometime so it could also depend on the patience level of the kid. We proudly gave it as a birthday gift to his uncle who loved getting it. I hope Alex toys read this and makes the clay softer. Else like someone suggested get your own clay ! I like the fact that there is no messy glue, or glitter or pieces that create a clean up situation later. I think it would be great for an inflight situation too.

Read Best Reviews of Alex Toys Little Hands, Clay Pictures Here

I agree with the other reviews. This toy is too hard for a three year old to push the clay (which is not very soft) into the holes. I had trouble myself making it neat enough to result in an attractive picture. In addition, the toy is boring.Within the first five minutes of taking the project out of the box, my child was just interested in playing with the clay.

Want Alex Toys Little Hands, Clay Pictures Discount?

I bought this toy at clearance at TJ Max for a very small price. Usually Alex Toys are a good value, this one was not so great. As another review stated, it was too hard to fill in holes with the clay they provided, I had to do most of the pushing myself. My daughters (4 and 2 at that time) used leftovers to build something else, but overall not much fun.

Miniature Zen Garden

I had an older Zen garden for years that someone gave me and I have set up at work. I would compliments on it all the time. A friend and coworker of mine loved mine so much and wish she could find one but never could. I surprised her for her birthday and got her her own and she loves it so much. She set it up at work and uses/plays with it all the time. It was higher quality than the one i had and I'm thinking of getting another one to replace the one i currently have because it was such a nicer one than i thought it would be. Very worth the money.

The product I purchased was not really a toy.The Zen Garden was made of good quality and a reasonable price.

This miniature zen garden is a reasonable product at a reasonable price (< $20).However, the amazon.com description fails to provide the dimensions which are:11.5" long x 7" wide x 1" high (on very short legs). It come with a bag of fine white sand, 5 small stones, & two small rakes.Individuals have a difficult time keeping themselves away from the rakes to create their own design in the garden sand.

I ordered this item and it was around $17.00 or so. What I received was this little tiny with a very tiny square and mini accessories as it looks...not what I ordered. Contacted Amazon and they refunded my purchase price right away, but stated they could not reship it and that I would need to replace a new order. Well, upon returning to this item it had increased to $29.99! I contacted Amazon again and they said they would give me free 1 day shipping. It is really the point of the matter. Not ordering it again. Not worth the headache!

Want Miniature Zen Garden Discount?

I bought this as my main tray. It arrived quickly and in fine condition.

Since it doesn't come with any accessories I bought several things to go with it, and so far it's working great. The tray should never pull attention away from the actual garden and this products simple, clean design works perfectly for that. I also enjoy the rakes (pretty nice for the price) and the little book.

I gave a low durability rating because after reading previous reviews, I am worried about the bottom becoming lose, but mine appears sturdy. I do wish they made it with a better bottom however.

But overall, for what you get for the price it's a great starter-tray with a peaceful book to help one's calm new hobby.

Learning Resources Tabletop Tripod Magnifier

The nature center we visit with my preschoolers has one and my son really loves it, so we decided to get him one for Christmas.Since only other review when I purchased it was so negative, I opened and inspected it today to make sure there were no surprises. This is a wonderful magnifier. The lens is very clear, great magnification and we did not have any trouble with the legs.I'm even considering borrowing it for occasional jewelry projects. However, I do wonder if there may be some sort of a quality control issue with this brand. The green painted area around the magnifier is obviously marred and scratched in several places.Since I don't feel it takes away from the item's functionality, a 3 year old is not going to notice or care about the scratches, and this was a much better price than the catalog the nature director pointed me to, we will be keeping it.I also can't see the scratches from a few feet away (which is how I'll usually see the thing), so I don't care so much about them.

One of the legs was stripped an took a lot of the excitement out of this product.Grandson wanted to use it right away but due to the poor quality of the legs, he could not try it out.It was quite a disappointment.

This game was a lot of fun and actually somewhat challenging even for a die-hard Office fan like myself. I thought I knew everything there was to know about the show and I found myself stumped on a fair amount of questions, which is great! I played this game with my fiance for the first time, and after a quick game, we retired the game pieces and dice and just read the trivia cards to eachother for fun. I also have the DVD board game, but I have to admit, I didn't find it as challenging and it's a lot simpler. Granted, you get to watch some scenes, but I think this is the better game for your enjoyment.

Important notes

This game is listed as 2 player minimum, however certain parts of the game hinge on there being at least a third person.

Pros

2 levels of questioning asst. reg. man. and reg. man.allowing for easier questions as well as some that were really hard!

The game is very creative and fun once you get a hang of it.

Its a real test of your knowledge, at least the hard questions are.

Cons

The rules are tough to figure out

It takes a while to get a grasp on the game

The easy questions are really easy

Want The Office Trivia Game Discount?

My wife and I have been fans of The Office since season 1 and watch the syndicated reruns faithfully. But even the "easy" trivia questions were too obscure. Recommended for only die hard, fanatics of the show. Casual fans would be totally lost. We thought we had a pretty good grip on the show but could only answer about 20% of the questions. This is not a fun game. We couldn't wait for it to end. Will not play again.

18 Inch Doll Wish Crown Bunk Bed Furniture - Beds Fit 18" American Girl Dolls

My Grandaughter was thrilled to get this bunk bed for her two American Girl dolls. It is the same bed she had seen in a high end children's boutique near her home. The only downside was the bedding which was OK but not up to the standard of the bed.

My mother bought this set for my daughter for Christmas. It was really quick to put together and it is very sturdy and nice. I would have liked to see the painted design be on the inside of the headboards (it is on the outside of both the headboard and the footboard), but otherwise I have no complaints. The Emily Rose website says they are off-white, but I think they are definitely white, if that matters to you. There is a video on that website that shows how to put them together, but it is extremely simple assembly. I would definitely recommend this set.
