Dungeons & Dragons Miniatures Starter Set
As one of the previous reviewers pointed out, there is a large single sided, black and white dungeon tiles fold out;like a folded square poster.It's bland and generic IMO but it is extremely useful; if they only included two! or three, or four..Very useful since u can 'decorate' them according to your party's visual range.Furthermore, the included terrain tiles(postcard quality) are also single sided, exactly 5X8, and all have different settings.You can't really play on them as they are so small/limited.They serve as a visual aid.
You get 12 miniatures w/ corresponding stat cards(normal)
The rundown, out of the entire collection, 30% ~ 40% stand for 'player' characters; humanoid NPCs, etc.So u might end up with 4 'player' characters like me; it depends on what you're hoping for.The Good!!Large Miniatures(2X2).The Bad, you'll always get the bear; a wolf would've been much better.
For those of you looking to buy your first set, i would recommend the Basic Set(not this one) as you get more, non-randomized, miniatures, solid/set-in coloured tiles, and THE set of dice(expensive if bought seperately; generic ones too).
The box set also contains a full sized play map, which is a grid of stone (pictures) which resembles a dungeon floor. It is about two feet by three feet, and can be used for dungeon combat. Six cards are also included with dungeon settings and walls, do add a little more detail to your battles.
Also included are stat cards, with statistics for all the figures. I'm not going to use these, but they could be fun.

I give this three stars because of the packaging isn't as good as the packaging for the previously Entry Pack.Also, the stat cards for these minis are easier to read and the quality is okay.The rulebook is a must have because it has the updates to the Miniatures Handbook.I haven't played the game yet but it looks easy to play.

I purchased this desk for my scrapbooking/crafts. after a couple months of using it, and getting paint and what ot on it, some of the black paint on the desk has started to peel off. if you are looking for something easy and simple and affordable get this. its pretty good quality, especially for the price. great for you crafters out there!

I'm not saying that this is a high quality piece of furniture, but for 59 bucks (on sale) it is a great deal.The good:
Very solid and sturdy compared to other cheap desks.
Nice design. Very attractive.
Does not look like a cheap desk (unless you get real close).
Very easy assembly (less than 1/2 hour).
The bad:
It's all particle board with a plastic coating.
A few glue spots and flaws in plastic finish application.

I'm a casual ping pong player with intermediate skils; I rely on my quickness and defense to keep myself in both individual games and doubles match. Once I purchase the Killerspin 600 bat, I noticed how much quicker my defensive shots were turning out.So much better that my defensive shots were starting to becoming offensive countershots. My friends have noticed an immediate difference in my play in the areas of speed and spin shots. I was adequate before, but now I'm becoming one of the better table tennis players amongst the group of ping pong players that play. Now I get comments like "I need to get this bat just to stay competitive with you".
The bat is a heavy bat and you'll need to get used to the sensitivity of this bat as the ball comes off real fast and with good spin. Initially I was a heavy hand playing in games,and now I noticed that I don't have to be that way to increase the speed of my balls. For the me, the adjustment was minimal since I really had not experience in good quality bats such as the Jet600.
Not only more speed, but spin and accuracy has also been a big factor in my game. I played well in all three areas before purchasing the Jet600, but now the Killerspin bat has really accentuated my play in those areas.
I highly recommend this bat especially if this is your first one. Before I played with the cheap stuff that came with the ping pong tables and net, but using this has really elevated my play!

I'm a casual, intermediate-level player that likes to play a fast, aggressive style. My shots have so much more power coming off this bat that I had to adjust for the first day.I'm able to put so much more spin on the ball now that my friends are having trouble even returning flicks and loops. This bat took me from middle of the pack with my buddies to probably the best player in our group. A couple buddies have been using it too and they're hooked--they're going to buy their own.
The only caveat I think is worth sharing is this bat is heavy, which I like. It's also very sensitive--the balls come off lightning fast and small movements can impart quite a bit of spin. Defending against spin also requires active counter-shots due to how the existing spin reacts on the face.
If you're a casual player like me and are looking for the easiest way to improve your game, get rid of your cheap bat and get something like this. It'll make a huge difference.

I am an intermediate level player and I got this because it was quoted as "top of the line". I am having a pretty hard time adjusting from a pen-hold grip butterfly (priced @ probably $120+) I got this one because the one I was playing with is my dad's and we only have one "good" racket.It is definitely not an easy transition. Things I could do with the other racket seem difficult or impossible with this one.
It should be noted that this is a pretty heavy racket. It is approximately 200% the weight of the other butterfly I was using.
The racket seems to be really great for spin, but I definitely get a lot more power from my previous one. There's not much I can say about control yet, because I haven't adapted to it enough to pass judgment in that area.
Overall I'm pretty confident that this is a better choice for shakehand players.
Will update this once I fully transition, then compare with the performance of my original racket.
***UPDATE***
The racket is pretty solid now. The most noticeable difference between this racket and the former is this one shows a noticeable improvement in spin (this is independent of any personal improvement, if I switch from one to the other within the same play session the difference is observable)

Bought the paddle few wks ago, received a defective one but Amazon sent a replacement immediately.Paddle comes with Nitrx4 rubber, good spin and great speed. Paddle weighs on the heavy side, good for slam/smash shot.
Quality of these pre-made paddle is inconsistent. The first one has a hairline crack on handle, the replacement paddle's rubber is not as sticky as the first I got. Still kept the paddle but upgraded and bought the Kido7p premium with fortissimo rubber.
Anyway, Amazon customer service was excellent as always...

A Game of Thrones Miniatures - George R.R. Martin Masterworks: Melisandre - Priestess of R'hllor
I was completely misled by the description and picture of this object. She is only about an inch high and made of pewter. The one in the picture has been painted by someone very skillful. If you are looking for a small pewter figure to painstakingly paint than this is probably great for you but it was not what I wanted. I am returning her (sadly, because I really wanted a Melisandre figurine.) I will add to this review if anything of note takes place in the return process.

I bought this toy for my grandchildren, ages 7 and 4.They were very interested -but the toy broke after about 5 minutes of play.The pendulum weight hit the metal support legs, and the ball chain that supports the weight broke.I can see no way to repair this failure.We improvised a pendulum with a piece of string and some miscellaneous hardware for a weight.The kids still enjoyed playing with the toy, and I guess you could say that the toy has educational value since they learned something about making do.But I did not feel that the toy was a good value, and I would not recommend it to others.Save 5% Off

Overall fun toy, and despite the kids recording and playing messages for the last four days straight, the batteries have not died (something nice to see in toys nowadays).

My kids realy liked having Elf with us. They looked forward to see what Elf say every morning. Although my second son, who was 3, didn't like that Elf knew exactly what he did wrong. I think my husband was the one that enjoyed it the most, it was hard for him to say good bye to Elf after Christmas. The only thing I didn't like was that sometimes it was hard to understand after you record the message. Hello, just wanted to write to say what a wonderful experience we had putting this puzzle together.My wife and I have done many large jigsaw puzzles over the years but this one was the most memorable.The puzzle measures 428cm x 157cm (4.28m x 1.57m) or 168.5in x 61.8in (14' .5" x 5' 1.8").It comes in 4 separate bags of 6000 pieces each.We assembled it one section at a time but you can mix all the sections together if you want to.We received the puzzle in early May and started construction on Mother's Day (May 13th, 2007) and finished it on June 16th, 2007.It took us 34 days!!Working primarily after work and weekends, it took us approx 400 man hours to complete.That's 200 hours for each of us.According to the www.worldslargestpuzzle.com website we were the first to complete it.I highly recommend attempting this puzzle if you feel you are up to it.I have a website that documents the our construction with lots of pictures if your interested.www.aegroup.com/puzzle.Good Luck!
The box is huge and has little string/rope handles on the side to assist you in lifting it and there are four bags inside, I'm assuming 6000 pieces per bag. They are nice, quality pieces but I must make sure to keep my puppy away from them. They aren't strong enough to last in her mouth very long.
The puzzle isn't finished yet, but we're taking pictures of the progress and will hopefully post finished pictures on Amazon.com when the puzzle is complete.
I highly recommend for any puzzle freak like my family and I! :P

Got this puzzle after seeing another large puzzle at a store which did not interest me so found this one and through it not only looked challenging (which it is) but also colorful and something the family would enjoy for a long time to come.We as a family are not done with the puzzle as the holidays only bring us together for short periods but we do enjoy the time together working on this puzzle and it has been fun for the entire family from 5 to 55!

This puzzle has been great to work on. My husband and I have been working on it for 2 years now.We work on them in the wintertime (we live in Wisconsin, those winters can be long and cold).It is a beautiful puzzle, and better than many larger volume piece size puzzles than we have done in the past.There are many "mini puzzles" to work on with in the larger one.We are looking forward to the day when we can put it all together and state that we have completed it!

I purchased the Life puzzle on July 22, 2010 after spending more than six months looking and drooling over the Hall of Fame section of the puzzle's website.The 100 or so stories that I read of people all over the world completing this monumental puzzle really inspired me to want to do it too.I am still working on it, as "Life" got in the way....a five month old baby (who is now 3 years old!), a huge life changing move from Fl to GA, and many other smaller life events in between.However, I must say this puzzle is the most fun and most challenging one I've ever worked on.The sheer size of it is challenging enough, but the beauty of the artwork itself makes it worth it in my opinion anyway.I love that there is so much to look at in the puzzle.The huge variety in colors and textures really helps to make this puzzle not as difficult as one would think.You can't really get too bored with it as there's always another picture element you can work on if you get tired of one particular color for a while.I am almost done (less than 100 pieces to go) with Section 1, and I'm eagerly looking forward to starting on Section 2.I highly recommend this puzzle to any puzzle enthusiast as it is a challenge, but certainly a rewarding one when you see the gorgeous, finished product.Just remember the biggest key to a puzzle of this size and complexity -sort, sort, and SORT some more!You can't sort enough....by color, by texture element, by shape, etc.I combined all three in my sorting and it helped tremendously.

Hover Soccer Air Hockey Game
This product is also sold branded under the name "Totes Air Hover Soccer" and I found at least one other company rebranding the same product. The air-puck contains a small propeller which keeps it off the table just enough to make it slide around pretty easily. After a single fall from the table though, it was irreparably broken. My kids got about 5 minutes out of it. Unless your kitchen table has bumpers, I don't recommend you waste your money.

I purchased this lamp in July of 2006 for my son's 4th birthday.We have used it every night since then.The switch is easy enough for him to turn on and off by himself.The lamp does not get hot even when it is left on for 24 hours straight.It radiates just the right amount of light for a small/moderate bedroom.My little one enjoys looking at the pattern of red lights on the walls and ceiling formed by the fused plastic "beads".I would definitely recommend this lamp to anyone who would be interested. (well worth the $9.99 price tag)
Our daughter absolutly loved this light, however, the first night we had it, we discovered that the light bulb in the lamp was touching the blue plastic base and it almost caught on fire. We could have received a flawed unit or perhaps one that was manufactured incorrectly, but it could have cost us our house or our lives. The problem was that there is a hole in the top of the blue plastic that tinkerbell sits upon. There is also a hole in the bottom of the blue plastic that the light bulb goes through. The holes were not centered directly above one another. The hole on the top of the base was offset to one side, so when the bulb is put in place, it touches the blue plastic creating the problem. I would consider this one a fire hazard.

My son loves anything Lightning McQueen.This lamp looks great, is light-weight, easy to turn on and off, and does not get hot if left on all night.The only real issue I have is that I hadn't figured on how creepy it is at night for the room to be bathed in a blood red glow.Decide if that will bother your child before you purchase this lamp.Also since the lamp is so light-weight, be careful where you run the cord.Ours ends up getting bumped or pulled to the floor quite a bit.Want Disney EVA Table Lamp, One Size Discount?
I thought this product at my local Gardenridge before reading the reviews on Amazon and I wish that I had read the reviews first. After leaving the light on in my daughters room for a few nightsbecause she loves it I saw it on Amazon and went into her room to turn it off I didn't look at it... Sure enough the plastic around it was very hot and it looked as though plastic beads were melting together. I then looked at the tag and it very clearly states that the light is for for temporary use 90 days max only. Not worth the money at all or chance that it might catch fire if by chance you should leave it on longer.

I ordered this owl to go with my Deni Happi Tree nursery theme.It doesn't really look like any designs I have in the nursery except for the big eyes.Besides the red heart on the side, it has a pink heart under the beak.I find it strange looking and was a little disappointed how flat it is.Was expecting it to be a little more rounded or fuller.It will not stand up on its own, but will if propped up against a pillow or wall.Seems durable and is soft.The baby is too little to play with it so it is just an accessory piece.I still think it is a strange looking owl, but it is kind of cute in an alien looking way.It arrived in good condition.

Scrabble Premier Wood Edition
I wanted a nice gift for wife for Christmas and she loves Scrabble. In theory, this is a nice set. I like the rotating board and storage option, but I feel that the quality is not what I would expect for $100. The "sticker" overlay for the board has a wrinkle in it and scratches easily. The wood has a ding in it. I had hoped that this would be something that would last for years to come, but I am not sure why the manufacturing is not up to par. It, like most toys and items these days, is made in China. The game itself is fun and I like the nice touches, but I think Hasbro's quality control may be slipping.
This edition is very nice for any true Scrabble fan, especially with the wood rotating board and nice tile bag.However, this can be purchased directly from Hasbro .Why pay double the price when it is in stock there?You can also frequently find coupons for free shipping and 10-25% off as well.I love Amazon but some of the people who sell products on through Amazon are pathetically over-priced.

My husband purchased the Deluxe Scrabble game because, after playing every day for over 15 years our old Scrabble game was beginning to wear out.When he lifted the new game from the box about 50 ball bearings fell out of the part that allows the game to revolve.They bounced all over the floor.No one had bothered to plug the hole.These metal bearings would be DANGEROUS FOR CHILDREN.The "Faux Ivory" letter pieces are just white plastic, not as nice as the wooden ones in our old, less expensive set. When I reached inside the bag, I said "J" because I could feel the outline of the letter.
The top of the board is made of paper which looks like it will wear out very quickly. Our cheaper set is paper protected by clear plastic so it doesn't scratch, stain, or wear out.
It is obvious by the poor workmanship that this product was not made in the USA.
Scrabble is an enduring, educational and endlessly challenging game.It does not have to be
"Faux Deluxe" or overpriced to be worthwhile. We are returning it.

I don't know why people insist on purchasing items without reading descriptions, and then getting mad that the product isn't what they thought it was. Then to give it such a low rating of 1 & 2 stars because of your own mistake?
Anyways, my daughter loves this vanity, it is a great toy & always one of her go to items when she plays with her Rapunzel tower. She likes that it came with Pascal the chameleon & the little face poof for blush. There are small pieces so I wouldn't suggest this for any kid that doesn't keep track of toys very well or any smaller kid that puts stuff in their mouth.
